So glad to hear you enjoy them, Nicole! If you are looking for more, you can check out my reformer programs available for purchase on my website here: thebalancedlifeonline.com/product-category/programs/ :)
Robin thank you for such a lovely class. Your clear instruction delivered with such happiness & joy in your voice was a delight to work out to. You're such a beautiful soul and I look forward to doing more of your classes. xx
I'm not pregnant either, and I still find your work out effective. I agree, your instructions are clear and you are easy to follow. Thanks for putting up this video. I look forward to your other Balanced Life video's.
Thank you, I am a member of the balanced life and love it! I just got a reformer yesterday and appreciate your video. This is wonderful for just learning what I can do with my new equipment.
Great video. I've been taking reformer classes for several years and while I now have a reformer at home, I'm finding it hard to sequence exercises. Hope to see you do more reformer videos!
I've been using a reformer in private, group and at home for 4 years. Today, after doing your 30-minute full body reformer workout yesterday, I am soar - in a good way. This was a great follow up workout. Please do some more reformer videos! I like your's better than any other RUclips or DVD I have found! Thank you so much!
Loved Loved Loved your reformer workouts! I agree with another below that I love your workouts more than any others I"ve seen which includes PilatesAnytime :) Hoping to see more!
Thank you for this video. This was the first video I did after getting a reformer. My right hip did not want to do the open middle move of the lower body sequence and ached. I know it was good since it pinpointed a area where I did not have flexibility or range. After doing the move a few times, it's getting better. It's amazing how quickly our bodies respond, praise God.
I'm not able to do all of the movements you show, but will work towards being able to! I've had lots of hip problems and these movements seem to really open up the joints! Thank you! Best wishes on a wonderful pregnancy!
Y Fab instruction and nicely grouped into various sections with time to adjust reformer and complete exercises The exercise on your side pushing away made my muscles by my right knee really burn so I knew it was working as this my weak knee !! Thank you and keep posting ! I dip in and out of Pilates but really should stay in!
I have just had abdominal surgery 3 weeks ago and this workout is nice and gentle to start getting my abs to engage without doing any damage. Thank you for sharing :-)
Love your reformer videos - your style is inviting and easy to follow and I have been working out with you for a few months now. I have an AeorPilates reformer at home but I feel like I am not getting a full workout with leg and foot work because I am too short (4'10"). Do you know if there is a way I can adjust the reformer for my small frame? Keep up the great videos!
Hi Tami! Hm that's a little difficult to say without being able to see you and your reformer. Is it possible to contact the manufacturer about different ways to adjust it? We're so glad you're enjoying the workouts - keep up the great work in the meantime!
This is a great video. You explain the exercises very clearly so that they are easy to follow. I am. Not pregnant, but found the exercises nicely challenging, particularly the leg exercises. I hope your pregnancy went well. I also hope that you do more videos...you re a very helpful teacher!
Awesome workout. This was my first Pilates workout with my reformer. I have one question. I wasn't sure if I was doing the last stretches with the lunges correctly because my reformer is much closer to the ground than yours, (almost touching). Should I do the lunges without the reformer at the end so I'm not bending down as far? Hope that makes sense :).
That was very nice. I am trying to get back into using my reformer after many years and I have a question. I have a very old reformer and it seems like my straps may be too short for me, so I am wondering where should the straps come to on my body and what's a good reference point for measuring how long they should be. Also, is there any recomended way to lengthen the straps that I already have? Thanks!
I have a Stott Reformer (studio model but at least 20 years old). It has 5 springs. 4 seem to be the same tension with no colors to tell whether heavy or medium or what, and one spring in middle that is half tension. Any suggestions as to how many springs to use for what and, when or if use the middle half spring? I guess I should just call Stott. Why didn’t I think of this sooner? LOL ? Love your workouts, Reformer and mat, your cues and modifications and The Sisterhood. Purchased the Reformer series there. Love them. More anytime soon?

@@karbear910 , thank you for your question! Unfortunately it's hard for me to know without seeing your reformer in person. But I typically refer to heavy, medium or light so you may just have to play around with your springs to see what feels heavy, medium and light for you. Another option would be to go to the Stott website and order spring replacements so that they are labeled and you know what you're working with. Hope this helps a bit! :)
The Balanced Life Pilates with Robin Long Thank you for your reply. I did just that....ordered new springs from Stott. Makes it easier to follow your spring changes!

I like to measure my straps so that they can hook on the shoulder rests. :)
Great video! Interested in buying a reformer for home. Where to buy and what do you recommend?
