Couple things I noticed here. Nick reminds me of Derek and these episodes have a very old Grey’s vibe. I adore the sisters being together. Also, absolutely loving Maggie’s hair!!!
Me too! I haven't watched the series in years, so I don't know anything recent. But this scene reminds me of Derek. Maybe the boy's hair? Maybe the way he smiled slightly?
I was thinking the same thing. This episode gave me season 5/6 vibes and I loved it. Very funny and lighthearted but still serious in a way

I always love how Meredith just calls them her sisters. Maggie is Meredith's Bio sister but Amelia is technically her former sister inlaw. Amelia was Derek's sister. But the bond Meredith and Amelia developed after his death; Meredith now just thinks of Amelia as her sister straight up. I love that
It's great between Mer and Amelia because it's not really guaranteed that you'll have a genuine, sisterly bond with your sister-in-law (and she doesn't have it with Derek's other sisters after all) but they have it. It's almost aspirational, really. I'm more on the fence about Maggie and Amelia calling each other sister, especially in front of other people (it was so funny when Maggie got Teddy super confused) but still, it's a nice triad.
You don’t need to be related to someone to call them your sister or your family. Mer and cristina call/called each other sisters and they’re not even related but they’re best friends and they hv/had a bond like sisters. My best friend and I have known each other since we were babies and now we’re almost 13, we have such a close bond even now and we call each other sisters.
just curious but would amelia be called her former sister-in-law? meredith and derek weren’t divorced. even though derek died, meredith hasn’t remarried, so couldn’t she still be called her sister-in-law? amelia is still the kids’ aunt even though derek died. or would it just depend on the family and their dynamics?
@@luci4087 i dont know, i never thought about it cos Amelia and mer always just call each other sisters but now they’re called former sister in laws if ur talking abt it legally but Amelia will always be Zola, Bailey and Ellis’s aunt even if mer remarries and she and mer will always be sisters!

The fact Meredith and Derek didn't divorce doesn't matter. in the eyes of the law they aren't married on account of him being dead. til death do us part and all
Amelia is the kids biological aunt, derek's death wouldn't change that, but she is not related to Meredith.
It is just how they feel about each other Meredith and Amelia have come to think of each other as sisters. Same with Amelia and Maggie

I've just realised that Mer walking into the area with Maggie and Amelia talking. Then she gets so distracted by Nick she forgets they are there until Maggie says Hi! Makes this even funnier.

This scene was one of the funniest, we felt the embarrassment of Mer and the surprise of Nick and thoughts of Maggie and Amelia were clear on their faces 🤣 I am looking forward to see more connection between them! Not a good idea to hook up with someone who reminds you of " the love of your life" . No good will come of it down the line. As far as Hayes is concerned, I liked him for Meredith. They didnt give them enough scenes together. Everything was just hear-say and behind the scenes. That first show he was in, that was a good show and the chemistry between them was off the charts. When he said goodbye to her he made the remark that if he had said it face to face, he wouldnt go. So he has feelings for her, he just needed an excuse to leave right away. And used his kids (which is partly true). You can still love your dead wife and still get on with your life. Meredith is. I wasnt watching Greys when she was married to Derek. Actually Im getting pretty sick of Derek. And in my opinion Nick looks nothing like him. But I do hope he changes his mind about leaving. Moving all the time is not going to help the kids settle. It makes it worse. And you cant let your kids run your life. But thats just me.
Meredith’s ponytail goes between being behind her and being over her shoulder every time the camera changes angles in this scene. Oops! 🤣

Love this scene. I've two younger half sisters and this is very reminiscent of any time anyone of us meet a new guy. Our brother is less amusing when he meets new guys.

Old Greys feels in this scene
I haven’t kept up with Greys in a while… the last few seasons. But it’s so weird seeing Meredith age, when I rewatch the old Greys constantly lol… so looking at her here in dark blue scrubs and much older, when I’m currently looking at her on Netflix in the light blue ones with Cristina as her sister and Alex as her brother lol and Derek as her husband is such an interesting perspective. Also though, I like this guy for her. I do remember his episode (I watched that far in before giving up lol) but I like him.

Nick and Meredith have great chemistry. I liked Hayes but there was no spark there. Nick should be end game for Meredith. They have 1-3 seasons left so there's no need for love triangles so I'm glad Hayes left. Obviously, if Hayes and Meredith had this great chemistry, they would have never brought back Nick. I thought Meredith and Hayes had great friend vibes but maybe Alex is coming back for a few episodes.
Yeah they bounced off each other nicely but there wasn't a spark and I always felt that Hayes liked Meredith way more than she liked him. Meredith and Nick just obviously like each other.

Amelia was always in the lab being fascinated by Dr Kai, and Mer most times was in and out some time treat patience, plus when they go back to Seattle they are busy they don't talk too much, but later Amelia notice she has been happy good mood and going to Minnesota alot and on phone most time, but after this they talked.

And I can't help thinking back to Sofia's custody case where Meredith and Callie talked about the kids always being in and out of each others homes and it being a village (it was one of the arguments used by Arizona's lawyer to get custody).
