I do HVAC installs everyday. I gotta say, I'm jealous of that lunch break lol we rarely break for anything but a drink of water!! Great job and excellent video!
Clean metal work but why no tape on the seams and end caps or bubble wrap? We always put it on every piece of the trunk lines even when getting finished.
Great job! Everything is perfect. I liked transitions, raised coil with vent/air pipes out of the door. Rarely installers care about service guys 😂 The only thing I couldnt understand where the filter is 😀
For heating, do inspectors want the seams on top of round pipe horizontal runs, or is that only important for exhaust fans or dryers where condensation dripping out of seams can happen?
Hey bro I need to run 3/8 & 3/4 soft copper lines in new construction. I bought 50 footers but only need about 28 feet of run. I have to bend them into ceiling and out of the ceiling about 10 feet apart and the space is about 15 inches for the two 90 degree bends. Can you suggest how? Ive seen some videos where they bend copper lines by filling them with sand or water so no kinks. But not sure if I want to introduce moisture or debris into these. Thanks
I'm just learning HVAC, but can I ask why there are no step-downs on the trunk line? I thought by manual J ductulator stuff, you were supposed to step the trunk down to maintain static. Is that not a thing with residential? Genuinely curious, not being argumentative.
@Wayne Gomillion I honestly use it at every joint. Most of the builders we work with requires all joints sealed to meet energy start rating so i got into the habit of sealing every joint. How often do you seal?
Hey man just found your channel, I’m starting an HVAC helper job next week. Fairly green, I’ve never installed but I know my way around wiring and mechanically inclined. Any tips ? Hoping to make this my career.
I have two question for you I’m finishing my basement house was built 2018 I need to attach register for small bathroom 1. My main duct sits right above vanity I need to hook up my register directly to the duct. What adapter do I need to use to do this from duct to the ceiling I have 2” space? 2. In one of my rooms I have to run return above left side of my closet door ho do I do this without compromising structure of the door ? Do I just cut half of the 2x4 will that be enough for return air. Thanks
@Jc Ortega Best Seller i have a Husky 2-Bag 10-Pocket Black Contractor's Work Tool Belt. $39 It’s a cheap belt at Home Depot I’ve had mine for over 4 years now.
I do this solo, I got hired trained and in 4 months I am now on my own. I make anywhere from 600-950 a job and it takes me 4.5 to 6 days to complete a job. Pulling 10-14 hour days. Pondering if this is even worth it lol. Its fun work though, like lego I am just burning out easy.
@@etbseui6958 3:17 right before you fade you can see the 1 inch gap lol depends on your state I guess. Some allow just Glenkote and some want tape and then Glenkote. If you just got some tape there power to yah 💪
How long does it usually take for y'all to knock out a job? Are you allotted a few days or is it a single day? I was doing residential install in Colorado, ended up moving and found a pretty tempting position for new construction.
So idk if you watched my first video is shows us doing a whole two story house up stairs attic and basement For 3 guys it takes a day and half If it just me and the guy in this video it takes 2 days or less.
@frank gallina thanks brotha we try do good quality work. The company we work for is big and a great company to work for they do everything manual j&d design etc.

id assume different codes. we paint the seams instead of tape and use atleast r4 bubble on all the supply
Out here in Chicago you need to put that brush on sealer or it won’t pass inspection! Tape will not pass inspection
I have been a fan for a long time, you do great work, I just want to say thank you for sharing
@adventurwithken I’m happy to hear that! Thank you for your comment! Do you work in the hvac industry?

This is really interesting. I'm into HVAC so I'm learning something new always wanted to know how rough ins are done.

Did you insulate the suppy or did it come insulated
You don’t need to insulate ducting if it’s in a conditioned space. It would help keep the temp coming out of the vents, but not necessarily needed

Great work, is it a big company? You do the design and man j, d, etc yourself or someone else does that?
Mastic and everything! Nice, I’m impressed. See so much half assed work out there. Love to see this

nice old school no flex job
@christopher walker yes sir!
Hello there looks awesome 👏🏻 how much did you charge for the install ?
@Gume Delgado thank you! I’m not sure what was charged I’m just and installer
I'm wondering is those monster drinks more effective then coffee
@william Joseph to be honest I don’t know bro I don’t drink coffee.
So hard pipe was cheaper then using flex for the runs
Square duct keeps everything closer to the ceiling. If you have a 20” flex people would have to duck to get around it all the time
I thought sheet metal guys install the ducting/furnaces
HVAC guys do it all baby
That can only be good as long as a picky client doesn’t see it
@oscar morales see what?
Thanks for the music video I learned absolutely nothing
Who insulates the ductwork
@roger ghiardi we only insulate duct in attic
Are you sure?
@xalfonzx Or any unconditioned space
Bro no insulation on the ducts? Here in CT it’s code. We would never fly with no insulation
@mobilio and son HVAC the space we’re running our duct is conditioned space
how much does a 5 ton installation cost 95% efficiency question
You look asian. Wish we do have that ac system in every Filipino home. Electricity here is so expensive
I’ve had people say I look Filipino but I’m Samoan
