If you want to get that R35 GTR/high pitched sports car sound on any truck, the most important is equal length tubing before the X-pipe. This is typically done by adding a loop to the right side piping to equal the length of the left side crossover pipe. A few OEMs do this already. Check out the factory exhaust setups on the Gen 3 V6 F150 Raptor, the V6 Jeep Wrangler or the Cadillac Escalade V. They all use loops to create an equal length exhaust.

Another idea for the valves, AWE makes a bracket for the s550 mustang active valves, and they can be bolted to the bracket, right out of the way, they don't throw codes and allow for a more straight forward axhaust to be made, and control the overall sound. Well done guys
, sounds HEAPPPPPSSS better. The whole reason my wife said no to the raptor was the horrific slapper buick sound.
We also found out tip design and material affects the noise quite a fair bit too.

      Hey mate!
We actually did try this! But that raspiness was exaggerated. The valving and 'sound modes' work by keeping the exhaust gas in a baffled area for longer, so for the modes to work as factory, we needed to keep some sort of mid pipe.
Stick with us. We just want to make sure it's perfect before release!

Pardon the pun but it sounds like you are right on the money. The old GTR and GTR XU1 had a resonator about 300mm from the headers and a straight pipe back to a single entry in and twin out. OK before I get caned yes they were naturally aspirated. But what an awesome sound. I also stuffed around with a Commodore VT S. supercharged. Fitted ceramic headers and high volume cats then joined them an a single 31/2 almost straight pipe with a mandrel bent bend over the axil with a 31/2 in turbo muffler. We put it on the dyno can’t remember the exact gains but it blew holes in the SS V8. We also changed the pulley ratio but didn’t change injectors. This was way back in time. Absolutely awesome work can’t wait to see it on the dyno. Cheers

Would resonation/reverb be an issue in a turbo charged engine?
In NA engines it's 100% proven that pressure returning back up the exhaust towards the valves makes mufflers and exhaust routing a factor, however if all exhaust passes through the turbo, then out the rear of the turbo wouldn't much of this theory be irrelevant?
None the less, love the thought y'all are putting into what's often grossly overlooked part of modification/performance upgrades.
