      Hey Andy, it's terrible to hear that you've been in excruciating pain, crunching, and severe lack of mobility over the last couple of weeks. We know how difficult it is to deal with and we are so happy to hear that this information was helpful to you! Hopefully, the pain will subside but if possible try to rest (which we know is easier said than done).

    Just diagnosed with acromion shoulder impingement in rotator cuff.The irony is I went to so many doctors and none knew what I had. Unfortunate that it took five years to get a diagnosis. Probably too late to make it any better. Going to ortho specialist next.

    Since the winter arrived both of my shoulders have been aching a lot followed by impingement for the last month for unknown reasons. The only exercises I do is the elliptical machine for 30-45 min a day interval training for years. I have been doing this shrug exercise for the last week and notice a huge improvement. A Lot less shoulder clicking and the impingement has nearly disappeared. No more aching just mild soreness. Another thing I change is the position of my truck seat closer to the steering wheel and position my heads on the 8 and 4 o'clock position instead of the my usual 9 and 3 o'clock position because that was only repetitive moments I do on my shoulders and that slight modification has helped my impingement issues. Keep aware of your every day moments of your body. 👍

      Congratulations on your new improvement of shoulder recovery which is great news. It can be frustrating when people try almost every exercise but they are back to square one with the pain. Don't give up on finding the right exercise that is best for you because what exercise doesn't work for others may work for you since our body is made differently. Best wishes. God Bless.

    I just did 50 reps and hoping it cures my shoulder impingement I have had for close to four years. I have it mainly in right shoulder. Physical therapist told me that the pain comes down from neck to scapula and leads to my upper arm. I have bad crunching sound in right scapula along with a crunching sound in upper arm. I hope this helps. Going to do it everyday. Felt some relief after doing this. Had to stop physical therapy since I am not working. I injured myself four years ago doing something dumb, lifting a piece of furniture.

      @soniamorales2562 Sonia, I'm glad that you listened to your commenter.
      50 reps is WAY TOO MANY to start with, especially after 10 years of restricted mobility. How are you doing today? Do you have any other underlying conditions? Have you continued the(se) exercise(s)? I paused the short when I saw your comment!
      I was just diagnosed with this and given exercises. Because I have EDS and this has been going on for 4+months, he wants me to reduce reps. 5 reps, 5 times a day. I would recommend starting there, gradually advancing up to 10 repetitions/2 sets, eventually ending up at 15 reps/3 sets. This is the normal recommendation according to my handout.
      He emphasized shoulder shrugs, circles forward and back, and pendulums.
      Best wishes. ❤

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy
      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  Год назад +1

      Hey Professor, sorry to hear that you developed neck pain! A really important aspect to these exercises is to make sure that you do a proper chin tuck before initiating the shoulder shrugs. The best way to describe it is to try and create a "double chin" by tucking your chin down and back. This activates your deep neck flexors, which are very important and commonly not used as they should be. We would love to hear from you again regarding this!

    • @professorsuwak7115
      @professorsuwak7115 Год назад
