Thanks! My thoughts exactly my friend! Highly recommend getting a dedicated rig and definitely no rooftop tent. I’m glad I got to test the capabilities of my overland setup but that was a one time thing.
Wow that wa frigging epic!!! Loved the long movie format!! Your videos just keep getting better!!! The scenery was absolutely gorgeous!!!!Thank you for sharing!! Can't wait for the next adventure!!!
@@OverlandScout81 It definitely didn't suck! I'm watching during my lunch break while I drive this keyboard and chair. Thanks for the efforts and time invested to put these vids out for the rest of us to research and enjoy! Adventure on!
Such fun. Not usual for us to get rain on the trail this time if year... and its happened twice this summer😮😮. At least no mosquitos and kept.it cool.😅
I’m an overlander and usually out exploring the backcountry. I never thought I would get into rock crawling like on the Rubicon but it was an incredible experience. Not going to lie, we took some damage but I would do it again for sure. The sense of accomplishment is palpable.
@@brandonbaldwin6845 yep, he put them in just before the trip. I can’t get over how tough he was. Hoping I can wheel like that when I’m 70. Hope you have a blast on your trip!
Ok, let’s address the white elephant in the room. Can a 2021 JLUR (the hood says “Rubicon”!) with a Mopar 2” lift and 315/70/17c tires do the Rubicon trail? How much damage will it have at the end? Will I be able to drive back home? #tongueincheek
Yes, it’s doable but you’ll likely need to winch a bit and you’ll definitely be scraping the underbelly. We did some of the harder sections but there are easier bypasses at a few spots. I broke a stock rear control arm in half and recommend upgrading your control arms before going as you’ll likely be scraping and bashing on them. One guy in our group was on 33” and he made it. He did need to winch a bit and got hung up a fair amount though. Go slow and steady and pick good lines and you should be ok. It’s an incredible experience and I say go for it!
Tore that Jeep up. I think I would have anxiety doing that trail unless I had a dedicated trail rig. A good Spotter is 100% key. Awesome video !

Thank you my friend! Trying to get better with every video and it means a lot!
Excellent video. 🔥
The Rubicon Trail’s reputation is well deserved…
Thank you! Much appreciated!
Man I can’t wait to go back. That was such a fun trip.
Such a great trip! Looking forward to going back too. Hopefully with a dedicated rig though! And a trailer;)
Gate Keeper and Alligator Pit were so much better twenty years ago.
Wow! Gone for a year and then this! Hitting hard with the video editing! Good job... George.
Thanks George! Much appreciated! It’s great to be back.
Great video! Very well done! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks my friend!
Best video of Rubicon Trail I have ever seen. Keep it up!
Wow, thanks for the compliment my friend! Much appreciated!
The one I've been waiting for!!! I'm planning to run this (along with the NCAL BDR) next summer.
Right on Dan! That sounds like it's going to be an amazing trip! This was defiently one of the best trips I've ever taken.

Man…where ya been! lol I was a subscriber and thought you were done a while back. Subbing again.
Excellent video.
Ah, life happens! It’s good to be back. Thanks my friend!!
I need to get my rig out on this trail
What size wheels and tires do you have on your Rubicon.
I’m running 37 /12.5 / 17. My buddy in the white Jeep was running 40’s.
@@OverlandScout81 Thank You
What tire size are you running?
I’m on 37s.
what's on the end of that trail that makes all that vehicle damage and that excruciating slow pace worth it?

Planning to do this in a few years after some more mods and when my boy gets a little older. Was Dan's TJ on 35's?
Right on. Dan was on 37’s and Dennis in the blue jeep was on 33’s.
@@OverlandScout81 👍🏼 right at the end there was a shot of Dan's rig and I thought nope those are 37's. Looked like a blast

Love to see those dozens of Mighty Toyotas putting all the jeeps to shame on this trail 🤭😂 #FakeNews
I’d love to see that too lmao
