MSI RX 6700xt Gaming X 12G Review: The New 1440P Champion?

- No matter how you slice it the Radeon RX 6700XT is pretty much tailor made for the average PC gaming enthusiast who has not yet gotten in on 4K Gaming Goodness. Put bluntly it out muscles NVIDIA’s RTX 3060 Ti in non-RT enabled scenarios and can even give RTX 3070’s a real run for their money.

I appreciate your format for being easy going, detail rich and not over-hype like other channels. Good work on the editing too. keep it up man +1 Sub.
nice review, calm, informative and visually pleasing!
Thank you! More to come :)
I know Im pretty randomly asking but do anyone know a good place to stream new series online ?
@Marshall Korbyn i watch on FlixZone. You can find it by googling =)
Got the same card with a 3700X and B550 Tomahawk. Great 1440P card.
It really is! Great specs on your rig ;)
You get a prebuilt?
@@MonkByte no built it myself. i got the 3700X for $269.99 and the B550 Tomahawk for $139.99 on Black Friday.
What case and PSU did you use?
I would really like to see you revisit the current release of this card by comparison to when you put this video out and now in December of 2022. Also, it would be interesting to see how the Sapphire Pulse 6700 XT does by comparison. Thanks!
504 watts cant be card power consumption must be the whole system
i believe it’s around 270-290 watts recommended but 500 sounds about right for the whole system
Yes
Great review
Thank you!
Excellent, excellent video
Good review bro
Thank you!
Cool video
Need help how to change the color of this GPU's light? it keeps blinking, I want it steady. also, is the light rgb or just white?
whats better 6700 xt gaming x or rog?
What’s the difference between this card and the msi Radeon RX 6700 XT mech 2X
@CELTIC god which one well you consider better ?
Did you end up getting the mech 2? If so what are the temps like? I can't get a good look but I think this card has two heat pipes where the mech 2 has 3. This card has RGB where the Mech 2 does not. I think this was a slightly higher end 6700xt but I bet they cool the same. I also think the Mech 2 has bigger fans diameter wise.
Edit: at 2:14 you can see this card's heat pipes and there are more than 2.
can't install it on win 10 with ASRock 560m HDV
How much do you think for powersupply with a 5600x? 750 overkill?
750w is good enough.
Is 650w would be enough? My cpu is 5600x and b550 tomahawk
Experiencing jittering and micro stuttering with B450 Carbon Pro Gaming AC and Ryzen 5 3600. 32GB 3600 Corsair Veng Pro. Any ideas?
RAM might be on the fritz. Process of elimination.
Yeah idk if you still have same setup/issues or not but i have that same mobo and a Ryzen 5 5600g and g. Skill tridentz 16gb 3200 and don’t have that issue
The ram probably since that motherboard supports ram up to 3466 mhz.
If I could find it instead of the non rgb.
The fans aren’t spinning so I’m take it back before i end up with a expensive brick
what is DXR on the MSI RX 6700xt Gaming X 12G
DirectX Ray Tracing
504 Watts under load? What's the PSU requirement for this one?
650 per msi website
Correct!
800
6000 gigawatts
i think he made a mistake because it certainly does not use 504 watts under load, that is most likely power draw from the wall for the entire pc, not just the graphics card
This card would be fantastic if you could find it for a reasonable price
What do you mean? It's $300 USD used, cheaper than the inferior 3070.
I wouldn't even be interested in ray tracing if I had an RTX card
Good job. Pack more shit on to the screen at once so you can't see anything. Also I'm pretty sure this card doesn't draw 504 watts.
Welp prices are finally crashing 😁and FSR 2.0 is nearly on par with DLSS while being more available to most games.
I use FSR when i can on my ancient Vega 56 (mod-ed and OCed) and keeps games like Cyberpunk with 4K gaming at medium/high settings/HQ-FSR at over ~60fps with dips to 50fps in heavy scenes. Since i "only" have a 60Hz monitor it has been enough but still a lot of work to adjust every game to run at 4K 😅
2:02 why this graphic card flow his hot air to motherboard?
Its not
yo man hock me up lol
Haha I'll try :)
Is it good for 4k gaming
No
@@ihmpall what would you recommend for 4k gaming
@@bassa69 For 4k gaming rx6800 on the cheaper end though I would still get it for 1440p. The cards you are looking at are rx6800xt, rx6900xt, rtx3080, rtx3080ti and rtx3090. Those are all your 4k cards.
FSR 2.0 enters the chat
@@evacody1249 is the 3070 good? iam planning to get it
Please dont mention dls...its a trash
How pretty a card is, is even less relevant than how pretty a smartphone is. The first sits in a pc case. In my case, the case has no windows. And smartphone without a protective bag is dead in 3 days. So design is really not important. This is not a jacket or a pair of shoes.
It's relevant to the thousands of us with a case that has a glass panel
