4th time watching this video I love it. I hunted a buck I called the big 10 for 3 seasons. Never got him but came close twice it just reminds me so much of this deer. Complete ghost

I love the scar on his left eye.
That would make a great shoulder mount. Beautiful buck!

Lots of haters on this shot, but in the video, he watched the buck go 20yards and fall. You can search and find the video on this channel. Not the shot I’d prefer, but he understood deer anatomy and executed perfectly. You have to know your business, and have the ability to close the deal no matter how the details unfold in front of you. If he couldn’t pull off that shot angle, he never would have taken this buck. Luck is found at the intersection of skill and opportunity.

Hi Deer Society I'm Isaiah Barnett and I'm and junior in Pennsylvania. There is a buck that's buy where my dad and me are sitting that we named Bushel Basket . We live in town so they can't get big like this but he is the king for most of the area by where I live! I had a 29 hard encounter with him but he just stayed too low on a little knoll so I had no shot at his vitals. Tomorrow starts 3 days of rifle for junior, mentor, senior, and active duty military here we can shoot a doe, so I'm taking a gun and my dad is taking a bow in hopes that maybe we can get Bushel Basket, if we get him I'll let you know! Wish me luck and good luck to all hunters out there!

Awesome video and hunt, I'm after a buck on my property in Pennsylvania I call Bubba, I missed him 5 years ago in archery and I'm glad I did cause he became a stud of a buck, he's around 7 or 8 years old now and he's huge and definitely looks more like an Iowa body deer than Pennsylvania 😂 if I get him I'm definitely doing a video on him

The last time I ever hunted back when I was 24, I am 52, I crawled to wet clearcut in the dark and got down 50 yards from this creek in some young pine oaks and sat down and had a lever action 30/30, it wasnt 10 minutes later the legend of the woods come sniffing not 30 yards to my left, an 18 point very old white tail that looked similar but bigger with much older thicker horns, I lifted to shoot sitting on my butt leaning my back against a tree, and the damn gun butt scraped my vest as I shot and he reared straight up and I missed and I haven't hunted since, the lower beads on its horns were way larger and thicker, it had an upside down teardrop, this deer was freaking massive, some guess at the time 10 years old, no one hunted there, just an old man's land and tales, that deer could of changed my life, in everyone's eyes around there including my father who was super famous around there who disowned me when I was 4, missing it ruined hunting for me, never would I ever have a chance at a deer like that again, I still haven't seen one like it shot, including the beauty you shot here, here I am 52 years old, 26 years later, that deer was a true legend and an absolute monster and i am damn glad it didnt turn my way and charge, I would be surely dead😐 This was east of Waldo Arkansas,

That was awesome! I like to see the events leading up to the moment and a hunter who appreciates and cherishes that moment. This may not be a popular comment and a bit off the video but I am also glad to see that monarch buck taken with true archery equipment. Time spent on the range throughout the year also leads up to the moment. Archery is suppose to take practice to be proficient and successful!

I just wish the Extinguisher and the Black Rack had better retention systems. I hunt public land and have lost 2 extinguishers and a black rack getting deep into thick cover trying to find bucks. The Extinguisher fell off the lanyard around my neck and my black rack (mostly my fault) was hanging on my pack and fell off. Both in deep thick cover and I couldn't find them.

Don’t be a Karen. If you can’t shoot a compound just admit it… that’s why most go to a crossbow.
To each their own, but there is a major difference in compound bow hunting and crossbow hunting.

Crossbows are used a lot for handicapped hunters and getting your kids or grandkids a couple years experience before they are proficient with 40 pounds . My son shot his first buck at 6 years old with a crossbow and 9 when he got his first with a compound the years he hunted with a crossbow deffently gave him a headstart when he switched over .

Risky shot? Yes, which is why you need to make sure your aim and groupings are as on point as possible if you even consider a shot like that. Trash shot? No, because Scissors went down really quickly after Ben made it.

These kind of hunting videos are hard for me sometimes. I grew up using hand me down equipment and even my camies where previously worn.
I'm watching this individual out in the woods with clothes on that hadn't been worn until that day and equipment that was just broke out of the box.
I'm not bashing him, I'm really not. Everyone's circumstances are different.
However I'm against the campaign that says you gotta have all this cool stuff and cutting edge accessories go out and get a solid deer. It would've been different if this was a doe hunt.... Obviously. But as it stands the message to me is " You too can shoot a trophy buck if you have all the latest and greatest".
At the end of the day this is all just my opinion and I'm just another swinging dick.
Congratulations on that beautiful whitetail! Definitely once in a lifetime experience.
