Hey Holly!! I looove pulled pork, we don’t own a smoker either, we do have a crockpot. Super yummy looking recipe. Will share with the wife asap. Liquid smoke 😮 interesting. Thank you for sharing! Have a nice week ahead. -RG
Hey Rufus! 😃 Definitely share this recipe with Claire! If you love pulled pork - I am sure you will enjoy this way of making it 😋 Thanks so much for watching! Hope your week is going well 💙
Hi! I made this today for a football watch party and it was a HUGE hit! The pork I had was just under 8 pounds-I doubled the ingredients and it was perfect 😋 Thank you!!
Hi Shannon! I am so glad to hear that you made this and it was a hit at your football watch party! 🏈 I love that this smoked pork can be enjoyed all year, long, I found that there’s never an off-season for it 😄 I appreciate you watching, have a great week 🩷
This recipe has saved my 4Th of July meal . Our plan was to use our brand new smoker but south Florida heat and humidity makes it almost impossible to be outside. Our crockpot is on high heat and we will have "smoked" pulled pork without the smoker. Thank you!
Hello! I am so glad to hear that this recipe was helpful! It is great to still get that smoke flavor without having to go outside and deal with the smoker 😊 I really appreciate you watching and your sweet message 💜
Looks delicious! Everywhere I’m reading says liquid smoke goes a long way. Recommending just a few drops maybe a tablespoon. This is a lot, is the smoke flavor overpowering? I am making a 9lb Boston butt in a crock pot. Should I double recipe?
I would definitely say yes to doubling the recipe if it’s 9 pounds. Thank you for the advice on going a little lower with the liquid smoke, I agree it is quite an overpowering flavor, but tasty 😋 I appreciate you watching. Have a great weekend. 😊
@ thanks! I did a Hawaiian Kalua recipe instead & put about 1 tbs of liquid smoke & it came out great! I could have put maybe a tsp more, but smoke flavor was definitely there! I will try yours on the next one
Hi, moisture makes sense, I've been rubbing shoulder with liquid smoke, sit then wet again and rub, put in cooker with no liquid, sometimes fries out.. can I do 9lb bone in? Used to smoke and bbq.. but unable to anymore. Appreciate it, tyvm
Hello, if you do 9 pounds bone in - I would just suggest doubling all the ingredients. Definitely, add some extra moisture is key, You don’t want it to get dried out. I tend to keep an eye on mine throughout the day to make sure it doesn’t get dry, a lot of times the natural fats from the pork roast will help with keeping it moist. I hope this helps, I’ve never done a 9 pound roast, but if your crockpot is big enough, I am sure it will work, oh, you’ll ll need to increase the time as well, but I’m not sure exactly how much overall. I appreciate you watching and may you have a great day ☺️
@ronaldyeater3322 I generally add about half cup of BBQ sauce to prevent from drying out. Other recipes cut up half onion and place underneath roast. Have also seen a taco flavored version of this method as well that might be appealing.
Will definitely give your recipe a try! Thank you for sharing, bless you 🙏
Hope you enjoy 😊 Thank you kindly for watching 💜
