    Very nice bike. I’m putting mine together as a solo setup lightweight tourer. Still trying to fine tune it to me.

      Thanks! I am really enjoying it so far. I originally tried to buy a Dragonfly fairing, but they took my $900 then went out of business and kept my money...

      You said the fairing is quick detach, who makes it

    Alot of people hate on the switch backs. I'm in Texas every year before Sturgis. I convert my Dyna superglide to a switchback and add the batwing fairing

      I really liked my Switchback after some mods. It definitely didn't have enough airflow when I first bought it and was very sluggish. After new air breather and pipes it ran so much better.

    Where can I get one of those fairing

  • @leesg3
    @leesg3 6 лет назад +2

    Dawn, did you install the speedo/tach? I understand it’s plug and play however, the fuel level conflicts with it?...all in all, very nice job. Pin stripes really make it special.

      @lodawnyoung  6 лет назад +1

      Lee Green My hubby did it for me. He says that he had to delete the original fuel gauge. We bought the fuel delete through drag specialties. He said he thinks he did have to do something with the wiring but can't remember anymore what. I do love the gauge it is beautiful.

    What type/brand of seat is that? It looks great!! Just ordered the fairing for my switchback as well.

    • @lodawnyoung
      @lodawnyoung  8 лет назад

      I think it was a stock wide glide seat if I remember correctly. I bought it from the guy that I had redo the seat.

    Very Nice! Kind of a long shot but do you remember the seat brand and model? Ride safe!

      I don't... The guy that recovered my seat had it. If I remember correctly I think he said it was a Dyna seat.

    Great looking bike! Can you tell me if your D&D has the louvered or perforated baffle in it? I would really appreciate it!

    • @lodawnyoung
      @lodawnyoung  7 лет назад +1

      Jason Massie Thanks! They came with a louvered baffle. They sounded pretty good, but we removed the baffle and ran it as a straight pipe for a louder sound.

    Did you say the speedometer changes colors ?

    • @lodawnyoung
      @lodawnyoung  4 года назад +1

      Yes you can change three (I think) areas of the speedotomer and the tachometer. You can even have them different colors from each other.

    What is the name of that fairing and where can I get it at?

    • @lodawnyoung
      @lodawnyoung  8 лет назад +1

      It is from Tsukayu.com it is called 6x9 batwing fairing. It's around $599 for the gloss black. I was very happy with it.

    I got 2016 SB & as I'm vertically challenged (short) lol, I'm wondering how tall you are as I was concerned about seeing over the fairing

    • @lodawnyoung
      @lodawnyoung  4 года назад

      I'm 5'6" and I had a 4" windshield if I remember correctly. I didn't have an issue seeing over it. It takes some getting used to though. At first it feels like it blocks so much of your vision. It also feels pretty top heavy. It felt like when I was a kid and I would ride my bike with someone sitting on my handlebars. I liked it better without the fairing to be honest.

    Beautiful bike! I am a lady rider too and looking to trade in my 2009 V-Star to get this same model bike. I LOVE the Switchback! May I ask how tall you are? I am 5' 5".

    • @lodawnyoung
      @lodawnyoung  9 лет назад

      tkdterp8 I'm 5'5" also! This bike fits me perfectly. It is so comfortable. I had a sportster 1200 before the switchback, and I realized how much harder the sportster was to ride after I started riding the switchback. You won't be disappointed.
