I would like to mention that I COMPLETELY forgot about Vanguard’s Altar of Covenants system. That system was great and deserved to be mentioned! I just forgot about it lol.
na that system was crap imo was literally rng based also id say vanguards perk system is the worst followed by bo4 because in vanguard if you go down once the amount of stuff you lose is insane it makes it so you basically never have points also bo4 perk system is crap as well like why would i bother running deadshot if there's a health cap and most of the time you're only using the same 4 perks
Yeah that would’ve worked really well I’m Cold War because each map had trails. But I would change it to six on round base and have no limit on outbreak
My idea is basically but the difference would be that the map would only have 5-6 perks on the actual map and that the rest of the perks are needed from the wunderfizz. And to unlock the wunderfizz you need to complete a side quest.
I think it should be half the perks on the map are purchasable, then you get easter eggs to get the rest but it’s “gold” bottles so it just opens the slot. I think there should be two eggs and they should be repeatable. For replay-ability and for just to not be boring
"Crutch perks are bad they kill variety" Proceeds to include lenghty wonder weapon creation process to make the game the same every time with the same weapons every time with the same stuff to do every time
I personally think that no perk limit should and will be a staple forever. I’ve never liked it ever since we first got new perks like stamin up and phd, and I don’t agree with the argument that having all perks should feel special. For me, it never has felt special since usually you’d get them from end of an ee, and wouldn’t really have time to use them since most people are done with the match after that - not to mention in earlier games you don’t even feel broken with all the perks. BO3 made that problem worse since you could just pop a perkaholic, and there’s nothing special about that. I don’t feel special getting 1 or 2 extra perks at all from side Easter eggs.
Yeah except it breaks the game and makes it extremely easy. Also you don’t have to use your brain to strategize which perks to use. It makes the game boring.
@@brackmibbleton1631 strategize which perks to use? jug, QR, double tap, speed cola are musts and there’s not really a choice. In solo, you have no freedom or choice in old zombies. In coop, you get to pick one single perk. It’s not as easy to buy every perk in CW bc it would cost you 40k+ points to buy all of your perks with the price system in CW
@@gameplayerorsumdisagreed. I run double tap, stamin up, widows and jug on bo3. If you need speed cola on a game with quick mags that’s crazy. Quick revive isn’t needed if you don’t go down (thanks to stamin up and widows replacing speed and quick)
@@RelicADHD i’m sorry but you have to understand how rare of a case this is. The idea of just throwing out QR bc you personally just won’t die is not applicable to most of the playerbase, and i’m referring to the old zombies perk system in general (bo1-bo3). In BO2 and 3, QR and Jug are necessary. Double Tap is necessary if you want your guns to do damage, and Speed Cola is necessary if you’re using a WW you have to reload. This likely gives you 1 choice, or 2 at max. In BO1, QR and Jug are necessary, Speed being near necessary if you’re using a WW. This gives you at most 2 choices. With your specific scenario, you are still only making the choice for 2 perks. Jug is necessary to live, DT is necessary for your guns to work. 2 choices.
The IW zombies was the best 5 perks 1 for the quick revive spot leaving the 4 free choice options was amazing. Also black ops 4 was so fun espxeially when mixxing and matching builds on different maps it really works with their maps.
I see a lot of people mentioning 5 perk limit and I agree. But it also be cool to make it an unlockable per game. Like finding the 3 items to play the song. But instead it unlocks the 5 perk slot. Or even just buying it like a wall buy for like 5000 once per game
4 Perk Limit is fine if there are ways to get more via Easter egg so CW having no Limit is the best to me since they go up in price & ngl being op is very fun in a PVE mode; one big complaint I have about Black Ops 1 is all guns are pathetic post round 30.
I mean since bo6 is already gonna have an upgrade system for gun rarities if they wanted to add perk progression in the game maybe you could also upgrade your perk lvls in the same spot you upgrade weapon rarities which I personally think would add cool interactions with the augment system
I just recently decided to play cold war zombies, and i actually really like the out of game progression. As much as i love zombies. It never had the same pull to me as multiplayer. Because no matter how much time you put into the game, you dont feel like you're progressing. I think with zombies, using more rng is the way to hit the sweet spot. It sounds like black ops 6 is going to do this. Keeping the perk progression. But making you choose different upgrades, letting you play multiple ways with each perk. Its sort of the way i feel about loadouts. I dont hate loudouts. But other than making it too easy, it also removes rng. Its so fun watching someone pull a bad gun, or a wonder weapon from the box. Starting with your favorite gun and then getting the wonder weapon as a second is just not fun, it makes it the same every play session
I think it would be cool if they altered the original perk system by making there be like different tiers of perks and each tier took up a different amount of slots. Like deadshot, quick revive, and other “worse” perks would take up 1 slot while juggernog, stamin up, and others would take up 2. Then like maybe widows wine and other OP perks could take up 3. And they could give us like 8 perk slots in total at the start (since most perks would take up more than 1 slot) but give the opportunity to earn more through side quests. It would give a lot more variety in the perks people would buy i think while still keeping the original perk system as true to itself as possible. Would be a much better change than what bo4 introduced in my opinion
I honestly could go either way on the perk limit, I also thought it was cool how you could upgrade perks in cold war. I think making them cost more to buy makes sense so it's expensive to buy them back. If there was a middle ground such as 5 or 6 perks with ways to get more in each map I wouldn't mind either. I say 5 as a solo player because QR is required unless you go perfect, however I'm pretty sure modern games don't even have a down cap.
I think Black Op's 4's perk system was underrated. I think that there are some interesting perk combos. It was really not a bad system, but people were pretty attached to the classic perk system.

Here's my dream perk system I feel like would be perfect. A mix of Infinite Warfare, Vanguard and Cold War. Basically you have five perk slots but you can refund perks to return some points and replace the perks you don't want with ones you do. On top of this, you have to rebuy them to upgrade them. But with this upgrades, they get more unique abilities or benefits to make the perks stronger. So then the perks are back to being a proper priority and the progression genuine are feels like you're getting more powerful as you go. P.S. you can add the Cold War perks become more expensive mechanic and there you go. This perk system and if we got the traditional point system? Match made in heaven.
BO 1 is the best for me. Not perfect. It could be better, but is the best of what we have. 4 perk limit is a good thing. And ability to get more than 4 perks by doing something else. Like killing monkeys before they touch perkmachines, killing George, shuffling power up’s on Shang, Moon’s QEDs. Although, I’d made some changes to it. Like making so if you hack max ammo on moon, would give you perk bottle instead of Fire Sale in BO2 you also can get more than 4 perks on some maps, but not on all of them. BO3 also has this problem. you can't really get more than 4 perks. Challenges is not the same, cause once you finish all of them and go down, there is no way to get it again

My personal ranking BOCW (and technically WAW since there is only 4 perks) IW BO1-BO3 And BO4 and Vangarbage as the worst which one is worst is for you to decide
Cold War should put a cooldown of like 2 rounds or so on the wonderfizz so you can’t just go and spam click and get all perks. It should be one perk only, and it should only contain perks that are not on the map already. Each map should have different perk machines and the rest go in the wonderfizz and then put a cooldown on it like I said. And maybe even give you a random one of those extra perks as well
altar of covenants is the best perk system. its the best of the bo4 perk system in a wonderfizz like style, mixed with still having the essentials(actual perks), its just a shame you have to buy those essentials multiple times, if not for that itd be my fav perk system in a game.
I completely forgot about the Covenants in Vanguard!!! Now I'm upset cuz honestly I think that system was pretty cool lol. I definitely should've mentioned it.
@@Xpertfusion i love it so much, its like the perfect blend of cold war upgrades, bo4 perks, and wwii loadout mods. it genuinely is one of the reasons i always end up drawn back into and loving playing vanguard. the buildcrafting it adds is just so rich in depth. if it wasnt in vanguard i could totally understand all the complaints, but with it, i find the game quite serviceable if not using the same meta choices everytime.
BO4 should be higher aether suffers from the personality being gone but chaos has minifigures for every perk and secret sauce allows you to switch perks mid game if you want.
i don’t understand the argument of it being too easy to get cold war perks when the scaling price becomes hard to deal with even at higher rounds, it makes free perks very valuable when you already have like 4 or 5 perks equipped and makes loading up on perks after you die cost like 40k for all perks or ~15k+ for just the core essentials (i agree wunderfizz could’ve been implememtwd better tho. also it’s very rare to open pap at round 5 on DM, most people aren’t seeing the wunderfizz at round 15 that’s just not as common as you say it is)
Well, first off, I think the idea of just making things more expensive and that being the "hard" way to earn it is kind of boring and doesn't offer much in terms of progression. But even then, most of my games I do feel like I am able to get enough points for all perks by like 25-30. As long as I am not fully upgrading a bunch of guns and wasting points on other stuff before then. It really depends on the run of course.
@@Xpertfusion I think the beauty of cold wars perk system is the player choice and variability, and the idea that i can either spend a sizeable amount on my 4th - 10th perk or seek free perks thru other means makes perks more accessible for everyone yet costly to load up on and still rewarding to get as a side egg reward. Obviously cold war lacks side eggs and only has a few perk eggs, but i’m sure with more dev time we would’ve seen more. And like you said, it really depends on the run, so every game feels different in pace and choice whereas most of the other perk systems are ‘buy the 3-4 perks you absolutely need and then get the rest randomly from random perk rewards’ which has no choice involved or variability for early game esp for solos. I don’t think it should be ‘hard’ to have more than 4 perks, but there should be player choice and a bit of strategy to load up on perks and cold war checks those boxes
In my opinion the best system for getting more Perks was on Origins where you would shovel your ass off for a golden shovel to unlock more Perk Bottle to Permanently IN THAT GAME get more Perks. When you go down you can buy ALL Perks back because of those Perk Bottles.
I still believe iw is the best perk system but people heavily sleep on ww2 mods They are so versatile for different EE runs, coop play, high rounds, challenges and speed running personal best records
My biggest problem with the bo4 system namely elixirs is my dumb self when replaying all the ee kept trying to inspect me gun cause modern cod has rotted my brain with inspects
The fact that my dude put bo4s perk system over the OVERALL IMPROVEMENT of the perk system of bocw is actually asinine- but whatever bro have yo own opinion that's totally fine but from a definitive standpoint bocw is overall the better perk system-
I just hate the idea of permanent OP upgrades. Kind of ruins progressions and takes away any thought in purchasing the perks. Then the wunderfizz takes away any need to go to the physical perk machines.
CW perma upgrades are absolutely nothing like the WW2 mod system. The mods aren't permanent. You get to pick 3 mods out of like 30+ options and those 3 mods are the ONLY ones you get in that match. In CW, you get ALL upgrades at ALL times once you unlock them with no way of removing them.
Majority of my recent uploads have been Zombies focused. I am most certainly a Zombies player. I am also a Multiplayer player. Why does it have to be one or the other??
@@tehCostHD I have more fun with useless old jug speed and Double tap than I do with all perks on Cold War?? Not only that it’s also fun getting all 3 of those cuz it’s just 2500 for jug 2k for double tap and 3 for speed?
@@Xpertfusion I have seen your recent videos, and sometimes I find myself just saying “woah this guy is just saying nonsense” and then again no hate on my part, I don’t want you to think I’m being toxic or anything. Like for example the Cold War system being permanent and you hating you can’t go back to be playing with the worst version of the perk, I strongly disagree with that, the game literally encourages you to be more powerful cause you really need it, if you were to be weaker again, you would be suffering cause is the not fun kind of hard IMO
@@Xpertfusion also, not liking the fact that there’s no perk limit is kind of dumb in my opinion, the way I see it, is that before they worked on new perks and it was basically futile because everyone would just go to the same 4 (pre bo3 with gobblegums, and even BO4 fits here) so for you to not have perk limit, allows for them to actually see some outcome to them working on new perks and people actually using them cause they can
@@Xpertfusion and you also have good opinions, I loved the video where you said there should be a point multiplier when you kill zombies in a certain amount of time, that was a great opinion and a great idea IMO
Cold War is not the worst lmao. Every perk is useful, viable, and actually worth being there. What is the point of any perk in black ops 3 that isn’t QR jug speed double tap, and widows? The only time you’ll use anything else is with gobblegums. I agree with blundell when he said there are crutch perks. It’s 100 percent true.
Idea: Ranking every hitmarker sound effect including headshots
In my opinion the best system for getting more Perks was on Origins where you would shovel your ass off for a golden shovel to unlock more Perk Bottle to Permanently IN THAT GAME get more Perks.
When you go down you can buy ALL Perks back because of those Perk Bottles.
Deadeye dewdrops is the best perk.
This tier list is absolutely terrible the bo4 perk system isn’t better than Cold War I’m sorry
IW perk system is so good
The new look of perks feels off to me. Atleast quick revive doesn’t feel the same
Cold War at number 7 is diabolical
Pls don't be mad, may we all know Jesus Christ our Savior bear our cross and follow him until the end and be saved in Jesus name I pray amen
I still believe iw is the best perk system but people heavily sleep on ww2 mods
They are so versatile for different EE runs, coop play, high rounds, challenges and speed running personal best records
My biggest problem with the bo4 system namely elixirs is my dumb self when replaying all the ee kept trying to inspect me gun cause modern cod has rotted my brain with inspects
I do that quite often on accident too lol
I want PHD flopper back, I don't care if the developer left, I haven't used the ray gun or mustang and sally since BO2 on PS3.
PHD Flopper is returning in BO6. It was technically in BO4 and Cold War as well, just as PHD Slider. MWZ also has PHD Flopper.
@@Xpertfusion I don't play modern zombies because that trash isn't zombies.
I’m wit you bro, not tryna bash his opinion or nothing but I damn near cut the vid off when I heard him say Cold War at #7 lmao
BO4 perk system is the only one that is good. It has variety and doesn't have boring buffs like Jug and DT2, other than Bandolier Bandit
I agree
Bo4 lowkey goated...
Bo4 has the best looking maps imo
y’all fw p diddy?
Says CW perma upgrades are bad but then ranks WW2's Perk system better cause it has Mods... Sorry but isn't that contradictory?
CW perma upgrades are absolutely nothing like the WW2 mod system. The mods aren't permanent. You get to pick 3 mods out of like 30+ options and those 3 mods are the ONLY ones you get in that match.
In CW, you get ALL upgrades at ALL times once you unlock them with no way of removing them.
IW ZOMBIES LOVERS WYAA
Bo3’s perk system is worse than Cold War’s imo
That just means u suck lol
Cold War perks are fun as hell I like being OP permanently
Black ops 4 is the worst system, it ruined zombies for me through and through and it’s when I quit zombies was mostly because of the perk system.
Aren’t you a multiplayer person, would rather hear this from a zombie RUclipsr tbh but good try.
Majority of my recent uploads have been Zombies focused. I am most certainly a Zombies player. I am also a Multiplayer player. Why does it have to be one or the other??
Putting WAW last is crazy cuz even with a useless QR and Double Tap 1 ill take that shit any day over anything after BO2
Nostalgia is crazy
@@tehCostHD Modern Zombies fans when WAW is fun
@@joejack1452 no one said WAW isn’t fun lmao what?
@@tehCostHD ?
@@tehCostHD I have more fun with useless old jug speed and Double tap than I do with all perks on Cold War?? Not only that it’s also fun getting all 3 of those cuz it’s just 2500 for jug 2k for double tap and 3 for speed?
My personal opinion with no hate, is that you have really bad opinions I’m sorry
Would like to hear which opinions you disagree with
@@Xpertfusion I have seen your recent videos, and sometimes I find myself just saying “woah this guy is just saying nonsense” and then again no hate on my part, I don’t want you to think I’m being toxic or anything.
@@Xpertfusion also, not liking the fact that there’s no perk limit is kind of dumb in my opinion, the way I see it, is that before they worked on new perks and it was basically futile because everyone would just go to the same 4 (pre bo3 with gobblegums, and even BO4 fits here) so for you to not have perk limit, allows for them to actually see some outcome to them working on new perks and people actually using them cause they can
@@Xpertfusion and you also have good opinions, I loved the video where you said there should be a point multiplier when you kill zombies in a certain amount of time, that was a great opinion and a great idea IMO
iw isnt better than bo1
My opinion
@@Xpertfusion I also my opinion
The worst is cold war. The best is BO3 simple and efficient. Second best is Iw. I like the Bo4 system it's better than cold war and Ww2
Having no perk limit means every perk can be made useful and have a reason to exist.
@@tehCostHDyou dont need double if you are using wonder weapons, you dont need speedcola if you’re using a fast reloading gun, you dont need quick revive in coop, jug is really the only crutch perk and widows is strong. Staminup is awesome, mule kick is good, electric cherry and deadshot are probably the worst, and phd in bo1 and bo2 are awesome. I think a limit is needed, maybe extending it to 5 is all thats needed.
@@spas6433 no he’s right ngl zombies had this problem since bo2 which is bad and it’s already been explained videos on some of the old versions of the perks and tbh a lot of them are useless tbh cwz had the best perk system dude to no limit. Stamin-up is useless on bo3 because you can slide, Mike kick makes gun swapping worse and dead shot wasn’t really strong in the past games tbh, but alot of fans are so small minded that they don’t even understand the perk limit should’ve been gone since bo3 because your using shit like perkaholic, soda fountain, and unquenchable all the time also on the house
