I have owned the original XRS Trilogy for two years and it has taken Tench to over 9lb and Carp over 19lb from snag filled swims. I have had a play with the new model side by side with mine and it is a little stiffer. After much soul searching I didn’t buy it on cost grounds but I’m gradually buying new sections one at a time as they all fit my pole. If you want THE best long margin pole this is it and relatively cheap too with great spares back up. Buy one now!
Good honest review by Besty .I've had the original Xrs back in 1994 ,then the Xrs venom ,then the 2K4 margin/long pole followed by the 1st trilogy. All of them have been good strong poles, but lose their rigidity after 10.6 mtrs. The trilogy 2 can be used at 12.2 all day for hauling lumps .I have 4 tops with mine with red hydro being the lightest elastic I use in 2 of the top kits .

Are you going to be doing a review of the Ultra margin pole?
It would be good to hear your thoughts compared to the trilogy
