How to send Serial Commands for GC-12? I have this command to enter: 4\x0D and 0x59.
Tried sendserial,2:1,4\x0D did not work
IR commands were easy since I was able to follow this structure: sendir,,,,....

I have a networked Tivo Bolt set to allow network remote. However Eddy's site says that you must have one of these devices to use their service. (Global Cache IP2IR iTach Wired TCP/IP to IR), controller search does not find my tivo networked remote. Hoping you can clarify.

We support Tivo, but I have not tested it on Bolt. I will double check the requirements page. Please make sure to enable Tivo External Remote on your Bolt Tivo. Also make sure mDNS is enabled on your router, which normally is enabled by default. You can check your logs to see the results of your scan here: eddy.tinyelectrons.com/logs and we can also do a quick Google Hangout session if your android phone can't find your devices. Just downloaded the app, I wish there was a way to edit the name so that I can say something other than voice remote. Also I wish tivo can take off the tv like the power button on the remote

There are two skills, one where you say Voice Remote and one where you you say Alexa, Turn on TV. What other name would your prefer to say? It sound like you want to use the Power or Volume Buttons that are associated to your TV? These are typically Infrared (IR) signals and come from your Tivo/TV remote. So to get something like this working you would need yet another device. If all you want to control is one room with less than 8 devices, then using the Harmony will allow you to Control both the Power button on the remote and Tivo activities; this is another system and skills and setup process. If you want to use Eddy or control multiple rooms with more than 8 devices then you can get a Global Cache IP2IR iTach Wired TCP/IP to IR. There are third party apps that support Global Cache so you can use your smart phone to send IR signals. If you have a smart TV, like a Panasonic then you can turn off power and control remote controls; you can't turn on the smart tv though. shernell belasco , You have two months to try out the service , then you can cancel the service. Yes, we can get you a prorated refund for the unused months. Hopefully two months is long enough to determine if you can use the service or not before paying for it .

Tiny Electrons thanks I have a tivo roamio and just bought an echo dot. I was researching between your system and Harmony but your seemed to have more skill beyond on and off. I will sign up as soon as I get my echo and hopefully all goes well
