This is a very well made video. I'm a developer so this content is a bit below my personal skill level however I enjoyed the entire video. Any beginner who lands here has done themselves a good service.
Yeah, I agree. It’s a great video tutorial. I’m also a developer, do you have any recommendations on video or playlists I can visit that are more suited for developers please😊?
Hi, I am using the same excel file but when my gallery populated (as shown at 23:36 moment) with countrysales sheet, it is showing country in subtitle as well instead of sales.I tried 2-3 times but no luck. do you have any idea where I am doing mistake?
The pace is perfect, the level of detail is super for a starter. I wish you would have completed the logic in the Financial App, so when for example one clicks in Germany, you only see Germany data in the second screen in the app, not all of the collection. Apart from this, the training was super useful, congratulations and thanks for the content and quality! Top training.
WoWzer...thanks for the free training!!! Once I get a job in ICT - currently I'm a manual working dude working just above minimum salary...driving forklifts and tractors etc... I'll subscribe and pay for more and more of youre training! once I get that job and I'm going to get it because LearnIT has empowered me!! Man I get this shit LOL xxx
Country Segments Units gallery shows only first row in my case (Canada, Channel Partners, 44062) the gallery seems to skip empty rows, without text in the country field. If I repeatedly enter "Canada" in each line it works...
I ran into this issue as well. If you have the app create unique identifier info in the beginning it should solve this issue. I think the app sees all the rows with blank cells beneath the "Country" header as the same and is getting confused that they aren't unique
@@modernemily8606 well the cells in that second table they made from the pivot table just point to the pivot tables cells. Maybe making a new table by actually copying the data would would work? May have to start the app from scratch if you do
Thank you so very much for the knowledge. I have enjoyed every bit of it and most especially the model driven apps as it is just exactly what i work with at my previous job as a call centre officer in a bank.
Hi, with the first app, what is the filter expression to use so that when you click on a country in the Country Sales gallery the corresponding country is filtered in the Country Sales Units gallery, please ?
@@LearnitTraining - OK, so with much trial and error I finally got it. Filter(CountrySegmentUnits, 'Country Sales'.Selected.Title2.Text in Country) BTW - searching Google was not the usual experience - lots of conflicting and just plain wrong info is published.
Thank you for the tutorial! In the "Populate SharePoint Assets List" app, I did not understand why we uploaded images of PCs, laptops and mobile devices but never displayed them in the app as images.
Very good presentation. I'm in between a write code and point and click type of development so found this very useful as an introduction to Microsoft Power Apps.. Thank you for sharing..
I started learning Power Apps last month and feel the biggest challenge in this environment is "delegation." It affects all data sources: Dataverse, Sharepoint, SQL Server, etc. Delegation is a way for Power Apps to avoid slowdown in performance. Some tasks can be delegated, while some can't in order to improve performance. When you have tasks that can't be delegated, you have to re-write the code in often obtuse and treacherous ways. For instance, if your data source is SQL Server, then Sum(If(A = B, Table1, Table2)) is not a delegable task, but If(A = B, Sum(Table1), Sum(Table2)) is. If you have a really long formula, it's hard to spot such a subtle workaround. And if you can't find any workaround to avoid a non-delegable task, then Power Apps can only process up to 2000 records, thus potentially returning incorrect counts or sums in your results. And of course, if your app can't even count or sum correctly, your app is no good. So this delegation issue is a pretty big deal and should be top priority for any app designer to learn.
Hi coach, it's simple very nice .while I'm creating one canvas app so i couldn't find file,home,insert,view,action and settings ribbon buttons may i know the reason why I'm not able to see those . If u want add anything please advise to me .

I have 3 lists, item, IN & OUT ,all lists have Item_code column common, I want to update the stock availablity in item list automatically while running my powerapps Total sum of group by item_code IN list - Total sum of group by item_code OUT list
Certainly! To automatically update the stock availability in your "Item" list while running your PowerApps, you can follow these steps: 1. **Create a Collection**: - In your PowerApps app, create a collection to store the information as the user interacts with the shopping cart. You can use the `Collect` function to add items to this collection. For example: ```powerapps Collect( ShoppingItemsOrdered, { ProductImage: ThisItem.'Product Image', ProductID: ThisItem.'Product ID', ProductName: ThisItem.'Product Name', ProductPrice: ThisItem.'Product Price', ProductQuantity: QuantityValue.Selected.Result, ProductTotalCost: (ThisItem.'Product Price' * QuantityValue.Selected.Result), ProductNewStock: ThisItem.'Product Stock' - QuantityValue.Selected.Result } ); ``` - The `ProductNewStock` field calculates the updated stock based on the quantity selected by the user. 2. **Submit Order**: - When the user clicks the submit order button, use the `ForAll` function to update the original item list (e.g., 'Items - Spirits') with the new stock values: ```powerapps ForAll( ShoppingItemsOrdered, UpdateIf( 'Items - Spirits', 'Product ID' = ProductID, {'Product Stock': ProductNewStock} ) ); ``` - This formula will update the stock on the original item list without any errors. Remember to adjust the field names and list names according to your specific setup. Great work but my version does not have a menu var or the easy peasy navigate-pick your screen action button. Went through way too much searching just to find out you have to write the formula now for any action. This is a completely awful change by Microsoft in my opinion. Either way, you were great even though Microsoft obsesses over changing things to being less user friendly.

Just FYI for people maybe doing this within the same environment as me..... the connector WOULD NOT work, it wouldn't show numbers, on the first screen until I changed the format of the "Country" excel table from a dollar value to "General". After that it showed up fine. Had blank values showing up, no idea why.
@@LearnitTraining no problem. I have no idea why, the environment is very different from this video... Good old Microsoft! They move too fast sometimes.
There is a problem when importing the excel file into power apps: the Sales data is not displayed you have to make a modification in the excel file in the CountrySales table: modify in the second table in the Sales column the standard number format

I have 3 lists, item, IN & OUT ,all lists have Item_code column common, I want to update the stock availablity in item list automatically while running my powerapps
Total sum of group by item_code IN list - Total sum of group by item_code OUT list
Certainly! To automatically update the stock availability in your "Item" list while running your PowerApps, you can follow these steps:
1. **Create a Collection**:
- In your PowerApps app, create a collection to store the information as the user interacts with the shopping cart. You can use the `Collect` function to add items to this collection. For example:
```powerapps
Collect(
ShoppingItemsOrdered,
{
ProductImage: ThisItem.'Product Image',
ProductID: ThisItem.'Product ID',
ProductName: ThisItem.'Product Name',
ProductPrice: ThisItem.'Product Price',
ProductQuantity: QuantityValue.Selected.Result,
ProductTotalCost: (ThisItem.'Product Price' * QuantityValue.Selected.Result),
ProductNewStock: ThisItem.'Product Stock' - QuantityValue.Selected.Result
}
);
```
- The `ProductNewStock` field calculates the updated stock based on the quantity selected by the user.
2. **Submit Order**:
- When the user clicks the submit order button, use the `ForAll` function to update the original item list (e.g., 'Items - Spirits') with the new stock values:
```powerapps
ForAll(
ShoppingItemsOrdered,
UpdateIf(
'Items - Spirits',
'Product ID' = ProductID,
{'Product Stock': ProductNewStock}
)
);
```
- This formula will update the stock on the original item list without any errors.
Remember to adjust the field names and list names according to your specific setup. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, feel free to ask! 😊
