Looks like you had great conditions at Snow Shoe! We miss that place! Epic cloud footage! I do the same thing with the slow gimbal. I've had the Mavic Mini in the box for 3 weeks now and I'm debating just selling it. I have the P4P, Mavic 2, and the Mavic Air, but I thought I could work this into my fleet as something easy to travel with. I appreciate your perspective John and taking the time to make this videos! Holy crap!!! THAT FIRE!!!
yea we always seem to get really lucky when we go to snowshoe, always had great snow! To me the mini does everything I need and I like the fact that if I break it its only $400, I can sell the mavic 2 and get some more toys with the difference :)

Wow, I cant wait to see the fire video. I love my Mavic mini. It's only my second drone. My other one is a Potensic D58 which is nowhere near the same category. I just wish I had more time to fly it. It's snowing like crazy in southern Illinois today so as soon as the snow lets up some I am going to get some video of it.

@@JohnDDyer I'm thoroughly happy with mine. I only have one other drone and it is a Potensic D58 so this is quite an upgrade. I haven't had the chance to fly mine much yet, unfortunately. We have a small merchandise business and the order that allowed me to be able to buy the drone has consumed most of my time. Nearly done though and I will get some serious flight time in on the warmer days.

I honestly haven’t had a chance to fly it very much since I filmed the video but it is definitely lightweight and plastically but I think that will help reduce the damage when u do crash it. But time will tell!

Well what I meant was have a custom button to make it snap with one click and then use the wheel to make slow cinematic pans. That how I had the mavic 2 setup since it had customizable buttons and I don’t think I can do that on the mini
I don't know why people expect 4k cinematic footage out of a 400$ drone. For the price of the mini it's a great starter drone. It's actually wonderful. But no u can't film a movie for Hollywood with it.
Hi John! Can you compare footage to m2z? It is same amount of noise or less on mini? I have similar issues with licensing so thinking about switch to mini.
Hey man, the Zoom was better with the larger sensor, 4k etc but the mini is pretty good, especially for the money. The way I look at it something is better than nothing in places that I couldnt fly without the mini and its pretty damn good.
No way to keep this drone in Line of Sight beyond 250 feet. It’s way to small to see at that distance, lol. This is my first drone and I love it!! No issues yet. 👍🏼
It’s such an awesome first drone! They have some companies that offer larger stock on lights to help with visibility. I thought about getting some to try out
