One one GREATNESS!!! Thank you Andy!! Part of the reason I love country life over city is partly because of that show. Born in the city but I'm a country boy at heart.

Andy Griffiith has been a part of my life for more years then I can even remember. From his hilarious monologue called IT WAS WAS A FOOTBALL (which can be found here on YouTuge) thru the movie years, Mayberry and Matlock. It's so odd that just a few days before his passing I was wondering how he was doing and what he was up to. I guess he's "up" to rest now away from the clamor of war and discontent. R.I.P. dear, Andy!

First time I heard the theme song with the words, andy singing them and I watched him all the time when I was growing up as a kid, just the whistling is all I heard them do. He was a very good actor that you wont see anymore. I liked his Movie "No time for Sargents". He was really good in that one. really funny and done in black and white.

What was Thelma Lou’s employment on the Andy Griffith show?

I enjoyed Andy in all his work. Him dating Ellie always seemed creepy though. Middle age man with a girl barely out of school. Just very poor visuals during those episodes.
