I purchased one of these tailpieces from him. It really improved the sound of my little French viola. Everyone compliments how now it sounds more open and free. I am truly satisfied. Mr. Kuo has a lot to say. All interesting, but if you just want to hear the tailpieces, Gen 1 is demonstrated at 1:35 and Gen 2 at 8:30
I found the Gen 2 also added more broadness to my instrument while increasing its punchiness at the same time.
The difference is massive!
