Maestro chapéu, hab` ich gesucht die Lösung für die Problem und es ist genial, dass Sie drauf sind aufmerksam geworden und konzipierten diesen Saitenhalter, Danke.
For decades my repair guy has adjusted the after length tail gut (behind the bridge) to be a perfect fifth. Which this tailpiece also achieves. My cellos always ring like crazy.

Hi Jsbh Thanks for your interest - No, no glue necessary ! These pegs are simply screwed in tightly- but it‘s best to have it done at a luthiers. Please place your order via website shop . If you are a professional cellist I can give you 10% off! All best - Thomas Demenga
Hi Christina I can send a few to Mattias Lehner, violonmaker in Manhattan- Im in contact with him! Just heard your Debussy/ bravissima! Very beautiful! All best - Thomas
Very interesting and absolutely convincing system. However, if one can set these saddles of the tailpiece to tune the afterlengths, the length of the tailpiece cord is not important. Isn't it? I mean, can the tailpiece cord have any length if I have to set the D afterlength at 11,5cm and in order to doing this I can move the saddle of the tailåpiece? Am I right?
It is still important to have the right length! You can only tune one full step of the scale. So the 11.5 cm (usually) til the d-string has to be correct
@@ThomasDemenga Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear. The fixed starting data is the 11,5 cm of the D afterlength, and that is clear! But how can I determinate the length of the tailpiece cord (in other words, the position of the tailpiece) if I can obtain those 11,5cm by moving the D afterlength saddle? Thanks a lot in advance for the clarification, I am very interested in this tailpiece and I want fully understand. Best regards!
You better engage a luthier to install my tailpiece properly. One gets the 11.5 cm by adjusting the tailpiece cord to the right length. A violinmaker is used to this procedure and will not have any problem with it. The”worst”that can happen is that he has to take it off once to adjust the length of the chord. Otherwise its done in 20 minutes All best - did you already order one? Thomas
@@6shalom6 measure the string length (maybe 66 cm for a 7/8) and divide it by 6. so it would be exactly 11cm in this case. String length: from saddle to bridge)
Its a sixth of the sounding string length (69:6=11.5) That makes an octave behind the bridge from A to D string. The sound behind the bridge will be like the open strings of a violon but one octave higher.
I really want to order one but i’m wondering about the return policy, is it possible to return it and get my money back if I’m not happy with the product?
Good morning Hans - some people use the tailpiece also without the special Knilling pegs - especially on C&G you would be able to tune quite ok even with your pegs . I know them - very good to tune I think.

Fantastic. I'm very willing to purchase one, but if I install a geared pegs, some says we have to glue that on the pegholes. Is that right?
will you be in NYC sometime so we can try ? :) Very cool!

For this you first put the d-string saddle almost ton the top of the tailpiece .
what are the relevant numbers for a 7/8 celo?

Regarded Maestro, I just do not get why the measurement of 11,5cm must be taken on the second afterlength string. Congrats!

looks very interesting! unfortunately I can't try this on my cello because I use the string vision pegs on my c and g string 🥲
