I like how skillet's songs don't shove Christianity down your throat; They're songs have subtle Christian themes.
I mean not really. They are openly Christian, but that's it. They don't let it affect how they think and create music. And that's how people should be. Just because they believe in Jesus doesn't mean all their songs have to be about Christianity. And even the idea that christians shove their religion onto others, is largely false. Real Christian's never do that. It's just that so many people Act insane and hateful in the name of god, when most don't even believe in Jesus and just lie online in order to be assholes to others. Even here, on the song page, people are lying and saying it was god who "brought them back to life", even though it was really the song.

If a band doesn't sound EXACTLY the same as they did in their previous work, people claim that they've sold out, and if said band doesn't do ANYTHING different from what they had released before, people get on their asses for not evolving as a group. You can't have it both ways. Musicians change their sound as their career progresses; this really isn't all that different from their other albums.

I became a Christian 7 years ago. Grew up with no God and driving to the lake with my dad drinking beer, going 100 mph, and listening to old thrashy Metallica...... I understand this totally. You can't expect people to transition from slipknot to classoc piano Hymns overnight! Lol When metal has been programmed into a person it's hard to deprogram... focus on the band's heart and the words of the music. At least it's a message of encouragement and trying to live right and do what's right. Btw, this means everyone listening to them who ain't Christian should be under conviction deep down about becoming a christian to live right!!.. just a thought. Blast me if you want 😉
