- So Jesse comes back to the channel after we've not seen him for a while! The boys reunite!... But only for one video, so we decide to do another Brutally Honest Review on one of Jesse's cars.. will I finally like one?!

I don’t think Jesse is a very big fan of this car he doesn’t seem to be as hyped about this one like he was the Honda!? It’s a nice car Jesse work with it.
I see what you are saying and I agree to a point, but I think it's started to grow on him the car.

That lever at 6.44 is very common in 90's JDM cars, it's a lumber bar, sit in the seat and mess with it you'll soon feel it work lol....
It's funny how some cars grab you and some don't quite hit the spot, I have a 3 MPS Gen 2 which is brilliant. Back in the late 80's I had 2 Renault 5 turbos which were brilliant to drive but really iffy build quality. As the years have passed there have been some truly great hot hatches and the real world improvement has been a giant leap in reliability. So you make your choice and pay your money. Once the corona virus problem gets fixed we will all be out buying and selling again, so no worries Jesse, your 3 MPS is a pretty nice car to be stuck with and even though the road tax and fuel consumption are a bit high, someone will definitely buy it because they are one "well screwed together" motor that will keep pouring on that creamy torque that makes that engine such a beauty. Great video you two.😊
People saying Jesse doesn't like this car deep down and yeah at first I would agree with that, but as I have said after watching his videos with it I feel it is growing on him the car. 😊

Weird, every other reveiw on RUclips says how raw it is, and we didn't see lee complaining about that or the steering wheel in the other mps reveiw 🤔 and we know Lee's habits of giving a diesel Volvo that the owner said "handles a bit like a boat" and a bagged deisel fabia vrs, which the owner describes as "feels chucked together" good reveiws, while the ep3 (what most people who have driven/reveiwers one will agree is one of the finest cars ever) gets a 💩 reveiw, it seemed like he texted to give this as worst of a reveiw as possible, but could only give it a semi good one due to the fact that he's loved these before, that imo

@Dogs Bollocks haha well that wrong, ive been speaking facts about lap times, power as well, everything I said there is true, he like deisel Volvo's and skodas, that the owners talked partly bad about, while he gave the ep3 (is known to be one of the funnest cars ever) a bad reveiw, even tho when lee picked it up, he said it was very fun, come the reveiw he hates it, then the engine, in his dc5 reveiw he talked wonders about the engine, now with the ep3 he doesn't, in this reveiw he brings more issues, that were present in his first MPS reveiw that he didn't mention, and yes every other reveiwers says these are very raw, point out how I'm talking 💩, then we'll talk, cos all I've said is facts, YOUR the one talking 💩
@Dogs Bollocks how is an mps raw? Hmmmm so literally every reveiw of it ever is wrong? There's a lot of feeling thru the steering, brakes, gearbox, clutch, while the like of the focus st is a bit more 'polished' every reveiw says this, but not lee, if you haven't heard someone describe a car as 'raw' idk what you've done. And no lee said the steering was plain bad, nothing about a fault, even if it was a fault. Also he said nothing about how fun or controllable it was, which is what the ep3 is renound for, with good body control and the most controllable lift off oversteer ever. And now he gets problems that he never mentioned in his other reveiw, if you can't understand that you must have a hollow brain

Having your arms full stretch is how to crash 😂
The correct driving position is.....With your back firmly against the backrest of the seat you should be able to rest both of your wrists on the top of the steering wheel without stretching out, so that when you are actually holding the wheel with your hands there will be a slight bend in your arms for optimum control. Just look at any WRC driver for an example ;)

You'll find many people want these, as fast as a brand new type r, but older so it's rawer and more communicative

That lever on the side of the seat is for the lumbar support so it’s inflates more to make ur back more supported on a long journey

In relation to your brakes wobbling your front discs are warped
That lever in the seat is for a bolster inside the seat that goes in and out for back support, this one’s probably broken
That lever on side of seat is lumbar support adjustment I think
Most probably that handle on the seat is the push of the cushion in the middle of your back

I don't agree, I think he wants some raw, communicative car, and the megane rs has electric steering, with little feeling due to it being a very early version, while the mps has very good communication and every other reveiw of the mps on RUclips says it's very raw, plus the mps is faster down the straight and on tracks the the rs

Dallas Grantley the mps handles like a boat, r26 will run rings around that on track.
I found the r26 to be a excellent car with a remap and a few bolt ons there a fast car

@@Evolve_windows well that's funny isn't it, seeing as the mps goes round many tracks such as the autodrone and top gear test track faster then the megane, so no it doesn't handle like a boat, plus the mps has much nicer steering with it's hydraulic system and bro, give the mps an intake, dwnpipe, fuel pump (tune) you'll be at 340hp.

I had a 6mps great cars, not great on fuel and I know what you mean with the power. Once the turbo kicks they feel very flat, just very linear and unimpressively quick haha
Totally disagree, put HPFP, Intake, turbo back exhaust and a Stratified stage 2 tune and m8 things pull all the way to red line, I’ve gabbed gb4 335is making well over 370whp by TWO cars lmao. The car needs more air coming in and less restriction in the exhaust and a GOOD Pro tune and these things come to life.
And they ain’t even that bad on gas I get 7.7L per 100KM on the highway lmao?
@@prodigygaming858 stage 2 big difference bud. In stock they feel like nuggets 😂. And a tuned car if set up correct is generally better on fuel. I was lucky to get about 25mpg in my stock 6mps

I agree about the stock turbo, it picks up quick (which is good, but not raw) but then dies off, but from literally every other review, people say it's sooooooooo raw, really raw steering, gearbox and brake feel plus the torque steer. Tho with no mods, their isn't much drama
Its ment to push the back bit of the seat out a bit its the same as the st 225 seats pal
Good video. Couple of points: driving a car fast with arms outstretched is ridiculous and not how it should be done at all Jesse, plain dangerous. Imo the mps feels nothing like a mk3 focus RS which moves around at the rear much more, the mps is much more like a mk2 ST/RS and was based on the mk2 chassis.
I agree it is a much better car than the ep3.
As another poster said I think a Megane R26 would be a great car for Jesse as it feels somewhere between the ep3 and mps in its rawness but handles much better than most but I guess he only wants a Japanese car.
It's a shame they never put the 2.3 turbo engine in the RX8, that would have made for a great car.
Its weird every other reveiw of the mps, they say how raw it is,I think the R26s are very overrated, lee said the handling of the mk2 focus rs is better then the r26, and I'm guessing he thinks the mps is better then the mk2
@@dallasmellsop5488 either of those opinions would be mad. You only have to look at every magazine review ever made. The nk2 RS is more special but far less raw and chuckable as is the mps. Although Lees experience is of modified cars mainly.
@@tracktimevideos5164 that's true the mk2 is special with that amazing 5pot, and that the mps is more chuckable, however using logic, thats what lockwood would think, though I don't really trust Lee's reveiws, they always seem opposite to what other reveiwers say.

Be careful on the roads up there (belmont) i use it to ride my motorbike and many mates do but police all over it in summer in unmarked cars
Get yourself in a 964 911, either 2 or 4. I had a 4, once your used to them it feels right but on a first drive EVERYTHING is alien.
Even the interior, it’s just so..... Porsche lol
For the 250 BHP they go well too once above 4K.

They're adequate with the stock 200hp as a daily.
Defo getting this car but the mpg is putting me off a bit if your spending a bomb to use this for every day but to have fun as well

But remember the gen 2 has the some power train, and is more technical and heavier so are worse to drive, but you could also try a Mazda 6 mps with awd

I have a Saab 93 aero 2.8t v6 I think although these cars are miles apart they are sort of the same mine has 250bhp standard and the tax is soo high at £555 a year also its terrible on fuel avarage about 16mpgs

its a lovely motor.
you can't say it handles well when you're going over the centre line all the time cutting corners. 11:01 12:30 and 12:52 ... really? you might as well be on the other side of the road. if you try and stay perfectly centre in the road going around bends you'll find that its alot more challenging than just cutting the corner in half. if you cut the corners you aren't getting a full picture of how good or bad the car really is.

That car is a bit old school in many ways, but it's not very desirable. I can't really see much going for it.
Old school is good, that's what Jesse and lee mean, they want something more oldschool and raw (even tho every other reveiw of these say there incredibly raw) and they are fast, faster around the top gear test track then the mk2 focus rs, megane rs and golf r of the time, plus the 1/4 mile is faster then an rx7 and Evo 7

I like old school, I'm 50 years old myself, so I grew up driving Mk1 & Mk2 Escorts, I just don't think those Mazda's are particularly good at any area that could be desirable for a petrolhead :-)

@@dallasmellsop5488 do you own, or have you driven one, I have heard the same reviews, but the description of "raw" is taken in a totally different contexts to a truly "raw" car, this is why people are attacking your views, I was in an MPS yesterday, I usually drive a 350bhp SW20, and I can tell you that the Mazda gives good feed back compared to other cars of its age/class, and maybe compared to them could be described as "raw", but compared to a truly raw 80-90's JDM sports car, it really is not, so please stop standing on that raw description like it is absolute and comparible to anything, it is not, maybe compared to other modern hot hatches it is, but generally it is not, and no reviewer has claimed different so please calm the fuck down man.....
