I tried to connect dex in windows pc with S6 lite as per your instruction. It is not showing Dex in pc even though Samsung Dex already installed in pc. What is the next solution.
s6 isnt supported
Another way, in PC go Services and start Samsung Mobile USB Connectivity Launcher :)

DeX was working fine in my case, then just stopped. I have done all the basic trouble shooting tips provided in the vid, but it still does not work.

Thanks! I found also if you close the DEX icon in the tray and then restart the app, it seems to work properly.
If you are not getting the DEX switch pop-up notification, try setting the 'HDMI mode' to 'DEX' via the Settings-Connections-More Settings options.

Having issue with connecting via Wifi on 1 PC, but not the second PC.
PC 1 is home PC and PC2 is the one at work.
I have dex fully updated on both PC and phone and when I press connect to PC it starts loading on the Desktop app and then it just closes itself. I try again and well.. it just repeat from what happens and keeps closing. It will only work if I connect my phone via cable and not via Wifi on my home PC, but when I connect via Wifi on my work PC then there is no issue..
Why is that?

it's working but my PC keyboard won't let me type but my mouse on the PC works fine with the dex
For my Samsung note 10, I need to turn the Default USB configuration in Developer Option to Transferring files
very helpfull problem was the cable i would never hav guessed that :)

Aw man, is there any sort of workaround or third party tool to get this to become compatible with other Samsung devices? It wont detect my phone when I plug it in, it's a 2018 phone so its disappointing that there isnt official support for it.
models supported are s9, note 9 and newer
Found out the s8 is too but only over usb
I own both Note9 and Note10 plus.
I am able to run DeX with my old Note9 on the same windows 10 laptop and with the same USB-C cable from Samsung. The moment I plug in the cable to my Note9, Samsung Dex will be activated on my laptop and the "Start casting with Samsung DeX?" message will pop up on my Note9.
But all these does not happened when I plugged in my Note10+. Same USB cable and the same laptop.
Windows will still detect the Note10+ , and it will show up in my File Explorer. But not Samsung DeX.
I am able to connect the Note10+ to an external monitor via an adapter which support DeX mode.
I have looked many times, "Transferring files/Android Auto" in Default USB configuration is checked.
What else did I missed out?
Any pointer is greatly appreciated.

After following all possible' solution I am not able to connect Samsung Dex in my pc. What is the solution. Dex icon is appearing in computer.But Samsung S6 is not connecting. Help me.
Reinstall Samsung Dex. Update It. Restart your phone and pc. And now tell me if it works.

I used Dex without any issue on my Note 9 but today I updated my phone to OneUI 2.5 and now my phone won't connect to pc and I can't use Dex
