- Today, I will share with you how I almost got scammed and safely got away from it. I will also share with you how to remove the connections of the websites from your wallet to prevent them from draining or sucking all of your crypto in your Coinbase Wallet. The scammer willingly transferred $30 worth of ETH into my Coinbase Wallet to support the gas fees to receive the coupon in order to join the mining pool. Once you click receive coupon, you will actually give them the permission to deduct unlimited amount of USDT from your Coinbase Wallet.

I had a lot of questions about the ridiculous returns that she was claiming to be getting from so-called mining. Having a fairly strong technical background as a software developer I just sensed something was very wrong especially since she didn't even understand the difference between a private key and a seed phrase. So finally after doing some searching I came across your RUclips video and the article you linked and put two and two together. Again thanks very much for providing this information.
You're welcome, I think this is a new way of scamming people. When people are too eager to ask us to join the club there must be something in return that they want. Most of them will show their account with enormous amount of money in their wallet and profits to convince us to slowly put more money into our wallet and when the time comes it will just wipe out everything.

I'm sorry to hear that..This scam should be made aware of to everyone, so that other people won't fall to the same mining pool scheme. If interpol or fbi could find out the scammers, that would be great, but since all of this scam works in decentralized network, there's nothing that can stop them. 😢

I got three bonuses and got wiped out completely. My money supposedly is frozen in the smart contract and the only way to get it back is to add another USDT 51K to it. But started pretty much the same as you explained. Some lady Laura from LA that is originally from Hong Kong.

Actually, all wallets using this protocol have this issue. It's not a CoinBase wallet issue, per se. Any wallet using this protocol has this issue because the protocol allows this UI spoofing.

@@NaokiYuusuke Wouldn't the smart contract cancel the external transfer? That's what I tried to do. I realized what was happening so I tried to pull out of my wallet. But after that something was triggered and my crypto poofed into the contract. I have a plan to get my money back, but I will have to trick them.

I almost got scammed with a virus that copied the wrong wallet address so one could accidentally send the whole amount to the scammer. what a mess! Guys, be extremely careful. triple check everything and never ignore RED FLAGS!
This video saved me my money from a liquidity pool scam, couldn’t be more grateful. Be careful as so many crypto scams going on, I only use certified crypto sites now.

Great video, unfortunately I woke up two days ago with my account on zero, I tried to contact the customer service but couldn’t do anything. Then when I tried to contact the Coinbase wallet support (in the mining pool) they ask me for create a new wallet and then pay again the fee to get the voucher to enter in the mining pool and finally they asked me to recharge my founds with 3k if I want to recover my previous founds 😒 the person to introduce me to the mining pool was trying to support me all the time and give me the courage to look for that amount or even more money. That is a totally scams please be careful with things
Please don't put more money. Their scheme works as demanding victims to put more money if the victim want to withdraw their money, but in the end it was just a scam to squeeze out money from victims before the victim have nothing left.. This term is called "Pig butchering scam" you can watch it in youtube where people explain how it works

I just pulled access from these same scammers on my side and was wondering about how long from when you first started depositing money and mining / getting income from the scam until they drained your account to zero. I have a few friends im trying to convince to stop mining and pull their funds but they want to keep risking it. Im curious if it was like a week, a month, or several months after you first started earning money did they drain your balance? I’ve only been in it like 4 days and have stopped but I have one friend who’s been doing it over a month and is still going strong. I wonder if they have like a set time period they wait before they attack someone like maybe a month or 3 months? Or is it random?

To be honest, there's no hope when the money went into the scammer's account. I thought crypto was a safe platform which could undo the transactions, but it just benefits the scammer instead.

My friend came across something like this months ago and was nervous also. He ended up building an account with 50k and made money each day. He took the profits to what he put in and is still using it but working with profits only. So far no issues and was able to withdraw from the wallet to his Coinbase and from Coinbase to is bank. I wonder if the thing he is doing is not a scam

Wow someone has been talking to me for 3 days & she tried to get me to join a liquidity mining pool. She was very adamant, thats pretty crazy.

Please be careful and don't interact with anyone who offered their help in the comments section. One person has been scammed interacting with the scammer's comments here to ask for help and he need to pay some money in order for the scammer to be able to 'hack' and retrieve the stolen money. After that he will ask for more money to buy more powerful softwares to 'hack' the wallet address. Please don't give them money, one victim that emailed me said that he had spend $500 to retrieve his stolen USDT but then the scammer ask for more money. There's no easy way on retrieving what's been lost unless through legal way which is merely less possible to be solve.
What's the reason for you to put more money in order to be able to withdraw your pledged USDT? This transaction can only happen one way and not the other way around. You put your money in your wallet and they can take all of it from you anytime, but you can't do the opposite. It's a trap, don't give them more money. The more you give, the more you will lose. Please, be careful and always stay alert with any type of scams related to our money.

I wonder if there is someone out there giving these scammers access, then reducing it to zero as you suggest. Then completely join the pool with a huge sum of money and when they go to pull out and they can't. They probably have a counter measure to that but I'm curious. I feel horrible for that 200k person. I currently have been talking with a mining pool scammer and just been leading her on. This one is demanding $2500 USDT and $40 worth of eth. She is pretty persistent.
I been messing with her saying that I have to move money around and that I don't like buying crypto directly off coinbase and that I need to go to crypto ATMs for "security reasons" and then I said "I can't just use the same one or else I might create a pattern and be followed" it's pretty fun so far lol

That's exactly what I'm doing--I don't know how long I'm going to keep wasting my time talking to scammer/whomever---I already confronted them about using a photo from another website----using the reverse picture search on google is awesome! Did my research about the "mobile mining usdt/tether scam" and not going to put a penny into coinbase. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! Thank you for the video! You and other RUclipsrs saved me from falling prey to this scam. Coinbase is not backed 1-to-1 in USD---they settled with a State's Attorney General's office (I think New Jersey) for $14 million+ for making that deceptive claim.

It's quite hard to do that, unless we can trick them into approving the smart contract if you have your own exploits
