it's a pretty unlikely case in general, but let's say that you sent tokens to a wallet yesterday and want to send tokens to that wallet again. so, you look at your token history and copy the address of the last person you sent tokens to (which is actually the scammer's)
Yup, have 4 of these zero transfers on my Ethereum wallet yesterday; happened right after transferring some USDC. I was very confused by the Etherscan notifications for all these. Thanks for investigating and publishing this.
Thanks for the info. I just got hit with one of these airdrop scams. I got suspicious when it asked to access wallet so I exited out and started doing some research, low and behold it was a fake Shiba token gift scam along with some other USDT coin scams and others. Still feel unsafe so it might be time to transfer to a fresh wallet. Keep up the good work 😊

but how would the address that is not yours show up in your etherscan transactions? It shouldn't show the scammers 0 value tokens because you haven't interacted with it right?
no, they use the transferFrom method to transfer zero tokens from my wallet. the "Token Transfers (ERC-20)" tab is different than the "Transactions" tab in that it shows any token transfers involving my address, not just the ones i sent. ex: if someone sends me tokens, it shows up there even though i never sent any transactions.
