@@RedFoxCrypto That was part of my reasoning in choosing Flexpool. 0.5% PPLNS. And, all the advantages RFC describes in this video that apply to Ethermine, similarly apply to Flexpool. Minimum payout is 0.01 ETH...but I just set a much higher target to not have as much to track for taxes and set a low Gwei target. I’m. A new follower and just starting in the. ETH mining pool under a specialty contract I was sponsored in and became a full member. This month I started with $40,000 and it grew to 68,000 in about 5 weeks. Profit I had to transfer in $10,000 to pay capital gains taxes which too a full 8 days. I had to freeze my profits so I could cover the taxes on what profit I had made. I don’t know how long it will go but today I will begin to make profit finally. You should make a dedicated video on your tax planning, what software you use to track, etc. I always wondered what happens if you mine ETH when it’s valued at $3,200 and don’t liquidate, then tax season comes around what if eth tanked? Do you still pay taxes at the $3,200 income basis? Makes it seem like holding eth from mining is risky when considering taxes.
You're 100% right. You owe tax on the price it was when it hit your wallet. It's really important to track all that stuff over time so you can make smart decisions.
I chose 2miners because it allows me to get paid in Nano or BTC, to avoid the ETH higher gas fees. 2miners for ETH/BTC/XNO/ERGO and This is great for us small-miners. Really liking nanopool and metapool for Alephium dual-algo mining
Your test must be flawed. PPS+ & PPLNS will pay the same amount in the same period with the same variables if they're implemented correctly to pay a fair share.

@Arimizu yeah you pay the gas when you withdraw. It's like ethermine. But you can set a lot of parameters like maximum gas you want to pay and minimum automatic payout amount.

Hi, I would like to point out that you described PPLNS as PROP. To make it PPLNS, the teller should have considered only last N tickets submitted, not all. If you stop going to the bank with tickets in PROP, you'll get paid something anyway and in PPLNS that's not given.

My stales are basically non existent too :) Feels great. It's bellow 0.11% It was like 4% on ethermine somehow. Maybe I was doing something wrong but my ms were lower on there than on flexpool right now
Thanks for the info! I have five workers on HiveOS and I just keep adding adapters and stuff to not have to add a sixth worker for as long as possible, so Hiveon pool is completely free for me still. I do know that the rewards are lower than ethermine and some other pools, and sometimes I get huge spikes in stales on Hiveon that I don’t get on other pools, but free is free so until I have to build a sixth rig that’s what I’m sticking to I think.
From my testing low reward and high stale, invalid on hiveon isn't worth the free tag. I am a paid user, for hiveos and I'm more than happy to use another pool.

I started a few days ago. I've tried sparkpool and ethermine for ethereum. Ethermine seems more profitable and more stable and consistent profit. Also was getting more stale shares with sparkpool compared to ethermine. I'm a small miner with one GPU rn. Looking at ETC after ETH does it's difficulty bomb for my next coin to mine. Thinking ethermine, but curious if anyone has a go to pool for ETC. Is there a way to find how close the physical location of pool's server is without pinging it?

Kinda true I rather pay $3 for additional rig. If additional earn $300 hiveon pool fee would be $9. So it doesn't make sense to go with hiveonpool.

I am not so sure about the MEV. If you read the "small letter" in their agreement, some pool doesn't distributed it, some just part of it.
Flexpool for lower amount of stales and lower fee. I also use Linux over Windows for that 5-8% hashrate gain.

Just use the ping command in your cmd! You can specify the port and even number of packets as well

For me, the ability to get paid in BRC instead of ETH is a big factor in why I use 2miners. I’m surprised you didn’t bring that part up.

0.5 is just a parameter for the minimum amount you need to have for it to greenlight a automatic payout
