Greetings Sir. I know you shot this video a few months ago, and you may have implemented a solution to the sharp corners on the cabinets, since then. But in case you haven't, and in case others might be needing a solution, you can purchase baby safe corner guards, in the baby supply section of most large retail stores. Some snap right on, others use adhesive, and they are relatively inexpensive.
Nice camper!!! I would go that route someday but I think I'd need something like the winnebago micro mini. My wife wouldn't do anything without a bathroom. Definitely like the ruggedness and off-road capabilities. Nice job Mike!!! Btw, some 3m childproof corner pads would probably be enough for those ridiculous corners. Ouch!!!
I am definitely thinking of getting one of these, but the first thing I'll do is use the child -proofing padding on those overhead cabinets. That and probably upgrade the cooler like you did.
Thanks! And very observant! That building is where I operate my business and it is located in the historic district of Steubenville Oh. Built in 1892. Quarried sandstone exterior.
That was a very good objective review. Well done sir! I hope to downsize from my motorcoach to a squaredrop for many of the same reasons. I'm so ready for simplicity and a more stress free travel experience. Thanks for taking the time to film and share. BTW, what's your solution with this platform to take off and store wet muddy boots & shoes when you crawl in for the night?
Things I want to do with my T@g 5 ft wide ... #1 I've debated on taking the storage above the head space out or put baby table edge protectors on the corners. #2 get rid of that crappy microwave, it took me 9 min to heat up a few dinner rolls. It's easy to remove and I'm going to build shelves. #3 I bought the wrong sized dometic cooler but I just use the space for pots and pans and keep my 12v fridge in the car.... thank you for the video, now I'll check on my water pump.
Almost all of these advantages can be realized in the larger NuCamp T@B 320 - but if your serious about going off-road you should swap the coupler/hitch assembly with one that offers greater articulation like a lock&Roll - bent frames are expensive. Otherwise, enjoy going small!
Rack for the truck to carry kayaks comes in handy if you want to go kayaking but are not towing the Tag. Or for carrying ladders, lumber, a canoe, etc..., but truck ladder racks can get expensive, north of $450 or so. Kayak J bars for the camper rack are in the $300 range.
The fan does run off the battery and it also has a solar panel on the roof (included). If your in the sun during the day, even partial sun, the fan will run forever.
I have the 2020 XL Tag, and I agree w/ your comment about the fresh water tank. We used it once, couldnt get it to drain all the way and haven't used it since.Have yet to use the microwave once, would prefer that space be another storage cabinet (the 2020 only has 1 door under the sink). Also, ours came with the Yakima awning, and it lasted about 3 trips before the poles gave out. I love the size and placement (via the roof rack) but they are a bit flimsy overall. It has been the one thing I've hated the most about the Tag. And yes, I've hit my head on those shelf corners. haha. Aside from those gripes, its a great unit and I've enjoyed it immensely.
We've got a 2022 coming (5 wide) and there's a kit of cabinet doors to use in place of the microwave. Check with your dealer if that might work for you.
I appreciate your review, as like yourself and some others, am considering seriously downsizing from a 30' Keystone travel trailer. Is this little RV sufficient for 3 season use? It looks like it may be with the quality of the build.
Yes it is. In fact we are going on a trip to the Monongahela National Forest this weekend and temps will be below freezing overnight. I'll be posting that video soon.
If it was under dealer warranty, they should have reimbursed you, due to the distance, time and inconvenience on your part...plus you replaced it yourself and saved them labor costs!!
30k is probably a list price, I’m guessing. We got ours for about 23k brand new. I know it’s still pricey when you can get a much bigger one for less. What sold us was the build quality, included solar and the off-road capability. Thanks for tuning in!

Great tip on the corners!

It's a very nice camper!!! Vey interested about your house also, looks like you live in a historic neighborhood or something.
Thanks! And very observant! That building is where I operate my business and it is located in the historic district of Steubenville Oh. Built in 1892. Quarried sandstone exterior.
@@NowhereBoundAdventures LOL, I'm over the border in Pittsburgh. I know what you mean...
Love the way these look. Clicked the buttons for ya. Have a great weekend. 👍
Thank you!
Great video, thanks for the insight. Love the name of your channel

So far we’ve been putting them on the fenders or underneath the camper if it’s raining.
Great video & I’ve watched a lot of them. Thinking of getting my son one of these.
Get some rubber corner piece from a craft store and glue them to those corners. It’s a pretty easy fix.

Thanks for the info! We’re leaning towards J bars.
Great review thanks for the insight !!!
Thanks Steve!
Thanks for the walk thru on your likes and dislikes. We just sold our 27ft Grand Design and looking to scale down. I really like the Tag layout.
We love it!
I wish someone would show how to turn on the exterior shower.
Maybe We’ll include that in a future video :) Thank you for watching!
be mindful of the kitchen door lathches the come off very easy when you drive, I put a drop of loctite on ours
I noticed that too!
Thanks for the review.. can the fan run off the battery, and if so, how long on a fully charged battery ?
The fan does run off the battery and it also has a solar panel on the roof (included). If your in the sun during the day, even partial sun, the fan will run forever.

We actually just installed our awning. We went with a different brand. hopefully it will last for a while! Thanks for watching :)

We will see you no where soon!
Look into coffee table bumpers made for baby proofing your home for those sharp edges
Great advice. We’ve actually ordered some! Cheers.
Does it fit in your garage? Do those roof racks come off easily if you needed to remove them for garage figment ?
I store mine under a carport. I think it would fit in most garages but don’t quote me on that!
Will fit 7 foot garage door with rack but you must remove anything attached to it (ie awning).

a top ace ,,...gift
Cut pieces of a swimming pool noodle to put over the sharp corners.
Nice call going with the "Sweet Baby Ray's " BBQ sauce...
The best!!
I gotta have indoor kitchen and a bathroom
I have a 2018 T@G. I love it except for the water system.
The 2024 models look great. The water system and solar is significantly improved. I’m thinking about trading mine in.
good day, Omg!that's super .catch you later~ mate~ =)
Thanks! Back at ya!
If it was under dealer warranty, they should have reimbursed you, due to the distance, time and inconvenience on your part...plus you replaced it yourself and saved them labor costs!!
If it were a more costly repair I might have insisted. Not worth the headache for $15 and 1/2 hour of my time. However, In principal, you are correct!
30k for these wow. 17' winnebago micro mini cost about the same. Hard to justify.

The stock cooler stinks.
I concur
That's almost a deal breaker for me. But at least it lets the owner replace it with unit of choice. (But out of pocket, of course.)
bumped your head.....really?
Yes. Those are sharp corners!
