I've watched a LOTof these videos-- and this one comes out WINNER on top all the time in almost ALL of them.. (except for the ones sponsored of course).
@@LucidProductReviews Right on the Amazon product page it states: "Non-stick, dishwasher safe air fry basket and tray." Where are you seeing conflicting advice?
How to get rid of the plastic smell? My instant vortex plus, after 3 sessions of 40 minutes at 205 celsius, still emits a strong plastic smell. I think it comea from the top vents and not on the drawer. As when i remove the drawer, the drawer does not smell plasticky.
I thin the power cord is too short!! b A short power cord limits where or how you use it. Other electric appliances also come with a power cord that is also too short and limits how or where it's used!
The most important thing I want to ask you what is the nonstick basket coating made off? I can’t find it anywhere, and this is the most important thing ? Teflon or ceramic? If it’s Teflon, it’s poison
I found this device to SMELL horribly of that electrical/chemical smell that emanates from the fan. We have to keep it outside when cooking it smells so bad.
@@LucidProductReviews Too late for us. We just cook outside with it. Anyway, the smell has attenuated a bit. It takes a LOT longer to preheat than expected, though!
This is not a healthy air fryer and I would stay away. It’s basket and insert are coated with PTFE (Teflon). And although some say it’s safe… it is not! Buyer/user beware. smh 🤦♀️
Thank you for sharing. From our research, Teflon is generally stable. It only starts to break down at temperatures over 500 °F and the air fryer only goes up to 400 °F. We are not affiliated with the manufacturer, so please do your own research and come to your own conclusion. If you're not comfortable with Teflon then this is not the air fryer for you.
LucidProductReviews: I stand by my statement that, because of the “toxic” coatings, this is an unsafe air fryer. It’s sale puts the public, who haven’t done their research homework, as I have done…at great risk. Shame on you for a deceitful review IMO. Again I say buyer beware of Teflon products! 🙄
@@anothergoldilocks1077 Do you have citation or any research to back your saying here? I tried to look for proof to back your claim, so far none, the PTFE are indeed considered as safe to use as long as they aren't exposed to 500 deg F Temp. Also to point out, most test about human health that were published by EPA were based on result of testing on mice. So, I'm not sure if it would have any adverse effect on Human. So, I would like to know more about this issue if you do have one.

@anothergoldilocks1077 you do know its only unsafe if it reaches over the correct temperature and if you scratch it with anything metal, thats what makes the Teflon come off
"Boil" is not one of the functions for this item. The function is "Broil". Your script sounded like you took it from some other review and adopted it to your video. It just didn't sound like this was your genuine opinion. It was delivered as if you were going through the motions of reading a script that bored you. The lighting on your finished French fries was too intense. It washed out the color of the fries and left them looking blanched and raw. Do you normally eat roasted Brussels sprouts? Again I think you borrowed the recipe from some other review. Brussels sprouts are not a big winner. About 1/3 of the population is genetically predisposed to find their taste very bitter thus they don't like them at all. Next time choose something that you really like and then give us your opinion. Don't feel bad - this is just a review of the review.

I appreciate your wonderful video! May you be, do and have everything that your heart desires!
Thank you for watching!
FYI: You can turn off the beeps by pressing and holding the Time and Temp buttons simultaneously.
We do like the beeps, but wish there was a way to control the volume.
Why isn’t the bottom basket dishwasher safe?
is there electrical stuff in there?
It has a non-stick coating so they don't recommend putting it in the dishwasher.

@@Great-Documentaries It was on the Instant's manual (Page 13/Care, cleaning and storage): "DO NOT machine wash the basket."
The background music for me is annoying ...... your voice and delivery is fine !!!
Thank you - we have removed this background music later on in recent videos, so please check them out!

For us, after running it for a few times, the plastic smell went away. You might want to talk to the Instant customer service.
There are 4 small rubbers in the tray remove that. The smell is of that rubbers n its also not good for health.
Nice but would be nice to know the actual dimensions of the inside pan
It's about 10x9.5x4 inches. Thanks for watching!

Good point! There might be some reason behind it, but we don't know for sure.
Tyvm :)
Thank you!
what is the actual footprint size?
14.92'' length x 12.36'' wide x 12.83'' height (approx.), the handle sticks out about 2-3 inches, so that's why the length is 14.92"

Apparently it’s Teflon but according to them it’s only harmful past 500 degrees, and this air fryer only goes to 400 degrees.
That's right. These do not get hot enough to poison anyone, including parrots.
I just unpacked mine today but I paid $130 for it
That seems to be the current price. They also sell Used Like New around $90. amzn.to/3slQEpr

can you bypass the preheat and turn food?
It will beep a few times for both after preheating and to turn food, but even if you don't do anything, the beeping will stop and it will keep going.
