Watch this video with captions turned on. You won't be disappointed.
Haha, you are the first to notice that. Well done.
@@MoonpieCreations thank you
Thank you for the recommendation
I didn't realise that was a thing. This is the first of his videos I've seen, and I always have captions on.
@@LostWhits i didn't realize it was a thing either. I usually don't watch RUclips videos with captions but I turn them on for my wife (she's hard of hearing) whenever we watch RUclips together on our TV. I just happened to have left the captions on when I clicked on this video.
Man, I salute you for sticking it out and making a beautiful project out of such difficulties!
Thank you. I was pretty happy with the outcome.
All of that craftsmanship and hours of labor and it’s giving me… bowling ball chic 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
I really wish I had a grandfather like this to teach me all he knows!
My oldest granddaughter loves to turn pens. Not sure she will get more into turning, but she love laser work now.
Great video, your sound effects forced me to hit the like button.
Thank you ❤
What a beautiful Pumpkin. "The Great Pumpkin" wants you in his patch!
Haha, thanks
Now that's a pumpkin that won't go bad .very beautiful sir
Thank you
I am not a woodworker and have no idea how much work goes into a project like this but I can honestly say it turned out really well. Great job and thank you for sharing.
Awesome, thank you!
I can, with professional results, make anything that can fit under my sewing machine needle but I bow down to the true craftspeople of the world. You almost make it look easy.
Thank you Wendy. I would say the sewing machine is an incredible skill and a true craft.
Sir you knocked this month out of the park. I love the creativeness that goes into your projects. Your projects are by far my most favorite to watch. Looking forward to next week.
Thanks a bunch!
I love the reality of this video - imperfections not edited out! For that, I am a subscriber! I also love the Jack-o-lantern container!
I made a wooden bowl for my mom of laminated walnut and mahogany, on the wood turning lathe in shop class when I was 12 years old. 50 years later and it’s still holding up like new! (So is mom at 91!) ✌🏼
My first lidded box was made from laminated pine in Shop class 30 years ago. My dad kept it until he passed two years ago. Now I have it. I'm sure your mom treasures it.
Another great looking project!
I hear you on the resin strands. Whenever I'm using resin in a project I have to turn off my dust collector so as not to contaminate my wood chips as well they tend to get stuck and clog the intake. Easier to just sweep them afterwards.
Those resin shavings get everywhere. lol So hard to clean up.
That thing is beautiful man. I'm impressed not only about the Jack-o'-lantern but by the fact that you stuck with it to the finish. I would have just slung that thing in the trash, but you stuck with it and made a beautiful thing. Thanks for sharing your triumphs!!!
Oh I wanted to trash it. lol the wife kept coming in and telling me I had to finish. Never under estimate a nagging wife. Haha
@@MoonpieCreations Feel lucky you've still got one. I've been through 2 and a few candidates and still haven't found one worth a crap.
I've tried everything but I still haven't figured out how to get the captions turned on.
Looks like a lot of work but well worth it because it turned out fantastic and I see why your wife is keeping it
Thanks Richard
My girlfriend saw this and said "I WANT ONE!!!" so I have to ask, will you make and sell them?
Thank you so much for showing all of the mistakes and problems. I have been feeling really discouraged because a few of my current projects just keep going wrong. It helps to remember that bumps in the road are normal for other people too.
You got this! I always found it suspicious that no one showed issues, but I did. That's when I decided to show my issues to help people know it happens. Thanks for commenting.
OMGGGGGG IT LOOKS AMAZEBALLS!!!!!! I’m so happy this video popped up on my feed, I immediately subscribed, amazing work!!
Thanks for subbing! You get bonus points for using Amazeballs. It's one of my favorite words.
Love your punkin'! You said it was hard to do, but you made it look easy. A mark of a true craftsman.
Thank you very much!
That is so adorable! Thanks for sticking with it until it was finished. Love your stuff
Thank you for watching and commenting.
That is a spooktacular project boo. That’s what the ladies always say.
Hahaha I see what you did there.
Love, LoVe, LOVE! I grew up in a body shop where things were mostly built, reconstructed, or put back together. I'd thoroughly enjoy a day in your shop, DEconstructing stuff in order to find the finished piece!
Thank you so much.
@@MoonpieCreations No, thank you! :)
I have to be honest that's probably the most beautiful pumpkin I've ever seen it's fascinating
Thank you.
Fathom Eh gonna have to get me some of that for these deeper pours I do, great looking bowl Ken, thumbs up as always !
This stuff blows Regular Thickset out of the water. Just takes longer to cure.
Killer opening! Best looking punkin' off a lathe this afternoon. No wonder he's staying at home, a really nice piece. ✌ 😃
Thanks James. Unfortunately I will not be able to do the intros anymore. My channel has gone flat and views are down about 80% of what they were in January. Been that way since April. Just can't afford to do them anymore. It's said, but it is what it is.
@@MoonpieCreations you won't be doing any more videos? I just found your channel today. I loved the videos I have watched today. I do have a question though. Before you added the resin did you have to dry out the wood to zero moisture or stabilize it with cactus juice and a vacuum pump
@@mr4bagger680 I will still be making videos. I have doing a unique intro for every video. TotalBoat is more forgiving that Alumilite. This wood had about a 6% moisture. I never use cactus juice for my bowls. except for coffee beans
Oh my lord! This is beautiful! I wish I had the means to make one. I would display it year round.
Thank you.
man i love these resin /wood projects the tables with the natural cracks filled in the big dragon egg things they turn from big burls its all so nice
I love them too. Thanks
Resin and wood are always interesting.
Thank you
So creative. That's a beautiful orange. Looks like a natural stone.
Thanks so much 😊
This is so fun, it came out amazing!!
That Fathom hit it out of the park. Not one crack.
It's pretty, glows in the dark and you put time and sweat into this. I want it 😒🤌
😀 Thanks
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this!
(Have to admit to worrying quite a bit when it came loose and fell. I could imagine him coming back with a couple of shattered chunks.)
Haha, that would have been horrible. lol
Coolest fuc*in turning project I’ve seen on RUclips in a LONG time!
Thank you.
The resin came out beautifully. Love this project!
Thank you so much!
Im happy to finally watch a video where mistakes were made and fixed!
Well you've come to the right channel. lol
I love it! Those colors are great and the finished product is amazing. I'm actually glad you mentioned what you used as the filler piece in the core. I've been wanting to try making something WAY simpler than this, but wasn't sure how to make the "core" of the piece, since it's just going to get hollowed out anyway, and for sure didn't want to waste that much resin.
You are so welcome! I usually use pine, but since the cost of 2x4s was so high I didn't have any on hand. lol
@@MoonpieCreations thanks again! Subscribed!
100% love! The making, design, honesty and the result! I love it!
Thank you so much!
I’d love to add this to my halloween collection of decorations. A great piece.
Thank you Patricia
😆left this play while I started the wife's car this morning. On my way back to the house the ring around the rosie portion came on
Haha, that would have freaked me out.
Absolute genius as ever.
Thanks Stu
Awesome Pumpkin. Love it
Thanks so much 😊
That would be the coolest bowling ball.
Haha, yes it would
Love love love this ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 🎃Sir you didn’t disappoint with your final Halloween piece though I do think it might of been bewitched coming off the lathe lol 👽🎃👽🎃👻
Thank you so much!! It was a devil of a project
Darn no sexy music but at least the project turned out nice! :) Sorry it was such a pain but in the end came out awesome. Thx for sharing!
Sorry, the Sexy Time Music will return one day
I can't get over how much that looks just like you.
Hahahahaha
WOW, I can't believe 5 screws broke. Turned out great though.
I reuse all my screws. I should have waxed them. So I take responsibility for them breaking.
Wow, what a roller coaster that was!! Outstanding!
Yes it was! My emotions at the end were worn lol.
What, no music when you poured the resin?
Haha, it will be back one day.
I hope you're wearing a mask. Love to see other pumpkin worshippers at work. This is amazing.
That's always a good idea. Thanks for watching.
It is so Halloween, at night on the window sill with a bright light inside wow .Take care
Thanks Ahron.
How talented you are!
Wish I knew you...I'd learn what you do.
I'm impressed!
Thanks for sharing ♡
Thank you so much!
This is beyond fanastic work, great craftsmanship and vision
Thank you Tanna
What a gorgeous pumpkin vessel. Well done.
Thank you Jake
My 4 year old nephew made me rewind to the pumpkin falling off the lathe four times 😆 he wanted to see the pumpkin "running away" over and over
That's my favorite part too.
That is fantastic. You never fail to amazes. On that screw problem, get you a 1/2" plug cutter and drill it with the broken screw in the center of the plug cutter. It will be much easier that the way you did it. Love your videos. Keep'm turning 👍👍
I bought a set of them and tried it. Never worked well for me.
Don’t blame your wifey for calling dibs on the pumpkin! It’s terrific!
Thanks Linda
This pumpkin is one of my favorites so far
Thank you Mike.
One of the coolest projects I've seen in a while! Great outcome, despite the obstacles.
Thanks a bunch!
I laughed way too hard when that thing hit the floor and you walked away. That really came out great! 🧡
Thank you! 😊 A couple of cuss words and a quick break I went right back to it.
😂😂😂
Great job! Thank you for the captions. I'm also glad you left in the "mistakes". Makes me not feel so bad about all my mistakes.
You are so welcome!
That is sooooo cool. The perfect pumpkin.
Thank you Michael
Damn that creepy music out of nowhere gave me goosebumps... Amazing work, really cool to see come to life!
Thank you
That’s one wicked jack-o-lantern!
Thanks Jacob
Wow! What a wonderful bowl!! Its perfect!
Thank you Texana
most amazing pumpkin i have ever seen
Thanks you for that Jane
One of the coolest works I've seen! Great!
Thank you! 😊
In response to your comment about cleaning up after a project....My Dad got me into lathe work and he always said "the lathe makes a fantastic mess "!! So true 🤣🤣
There ain't never been a true treuthier. Wait is that a word? Well I'll go with it anyways.
That is one of the coolest projects I have seen you do
Thank yiou
That's one Awesome Jack-o'-lantern Ken 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you Scott
Absolutely lovely in spite of the different colours.
Many thanks!
Absolutely gorgeous. But this one sure had a naughty spirit in it!! That piece did not want to stay on the lathe! 🙏
Thank you. So many issues.

I've been trying to make them more sallow. Guess I just need to do them correctly. lol
That jar is badass! I love it!

Thank you Darin
Wow pumpkin container is beautiful 🎃 great job🧡

You know the thing I find most impressive is that you didn't lose you mind and smash it after it fell off the lath well done sir.
Haha, true. I am trying to say calm

Thank you 😊
That was so much fun to watch! Thanks.
Thankyou for watching and commenting Jody.
My grandma use to have a ceramic pumpkin cookie jar 🥰 It was a bit taller and about just as wide…… If it was ever empty then she would say “well then we’ll just have to make some more !!” Thanks for the memory reboot lol
Haha, I love hearing people stories. Thanks you.
this is an awesome Idea!!! Great work!!!!
Thanks Mark

That is killer!!!! Wow. Inspiring.
Well thank you so much for that
I love this! I now have to remake for my wife! Ty!
I have had a dozen people ask me to remake this. It was so expensive I haven't tried again yet.
Nice job on the jack o lantern. I think I'll make one. It's really nice.
Thanks Dale
Absolutely beautiful. Great project.
Thank you so much!
