Most people that go through this wont cut their hair short again to prevent seeing it, my father had brain surgery on top of his head and refuses to cut his hair short as the memories it brings back arent great

I just found your channel about 2 months ago and saw this was one of main videos and kinda put off watching it. I saw a recent update on your brain video. All I have to say is that you have an incredible wife who is there for you. In todays society many people seperate due to hardships. My brother in law was injured on the job and had major back issues and for some reason lost his workmans comp case. He got addicted to opiods for a bit but my sister just like your wife stayed with him and helped him. Everyone has issues and goes through things big and small in life and it's always a great thing seeing stories of couples staying together during hard times. Hope you and your family are doing well.
Hang in there, Justin. It looks rough now, but it's only temporary. A few weeks down the road, stitches out, shiner fading, hair growing back. It will be like it never happened. ❤️❤️

I am still and have been praying for the both of you for the Lord watch over you both and the heal Justin with his eternal love and kindness. I know where you are at right now myself I have been through a very serious surgery myself back in 2006 with 14 hours of surgery and 18 months of rehabilitation. I couldn't even speak for 8 months I had to write everything down I wanted to say , I think my wife liked that part of it lol. But the Lord saw me through it and I was even stronger afterwards as I know you will be. Again God bless you both. Love you fishing freaks
I had a tumor two months ago in 2019 they couldn’t get it all in surgery and all I’ve been doing is going to doctors I’m only 13 btw and I also remember the pain after the surgery it was not fun but I’m sure your fine now
Hey Jrostey a tumor is somethibg caused due to abnormal, self replicative growth/cell division. Brain tumours are basically Tumors corresponding to your brain. Hope I helped you.

I’ve been watching your videos the past 6 months and I had no clue about this. Kind of upset with the googans for not coming to see you....
This brings back sooo many hard memories for me. My ex-husband (when we were together) had to have brain surgery too. He had a large AVM (arterial venous malformation, about the size of his fist, removed from the left side & it was causing a lot of aneurysms (about 6). It was pretty bad & it ruptured which caused a stoke on his right side (he was 35 at the time), which we worked on & he was regaining the use again. Then Surgery to remove it at Emory in Atlanta (wonderful hospital). The AVM was pretty large & pretty deep & they had to manipulate the brain so much that it caused a second stoke (which pretty much made the stroke permanent), but it was successful, Thank God! He had alot of rehab but was feeling pretty good other than the stroke, within a few weeks. We separated about a year after he had his stroke for other reasons on his part, but that's ok, with what he had gone through he was entitled to lean toward financial stability & his Family. Just know that it does get better & things are looking up now. Also, you have a Great Gal!Her job is sooo hard in sooo many ways. The job as a Caregiver is a Thankless job, not due to the Loved One, but the Strain & Pressure we put on ourselves to be Perfect in taking care of our Loved One. So Thank you to her for being such a Good Woman!God Bless Y'all!
@Awesome Llama-Unicorn How long did what take? The Surgery took about 6 hours. Recovery was pretty slow due to the Surgery (manipulation of his brain) & I haven't seen him since our Divorce to say how much progress he has made. I truely hope he is 100%. I have no hard feelings towards him, he did what he had to do & I can live with that. I just hope his Father is good to him. He said that I left him with the burden of taking care of his son & his son was right there with him. I explained that it was his choice, not mine & he won't come back home with me, I have begged him. So, it is what it is, I guess. I just wish him well.

I can't possibly even begin to imagine how painful that would have been and in so many different ways. You sound like an amazing person and I really believe that you did everything in your power to be supportive and I'm sure he wouldn't have gotten through it as smoothly without having had you to lean on. In the smallest..tiniest possibility that you still think about it sadly from time to time, please don't regret anything you did or doubt any decisions you made. As far as I'm concerned, you should be proud of yourself for being such a badass about it :3 Hope you're happy and well now!
Justin this video has really helped me mentally prepare for what to expect when my younger brother has brain surgery. His will be to repair damage to the frontal lobes to try and stop his seizures. The surgery has an 80% chance of being successful. I hope you heel well!
You look good man. I was in a really bad wreck as a kid and had to have reconstructive surgery on my face. Had two swollen black eyes and same jaw issues for three months. I think it will go away just fine. Give it some time
Speaking from experience, you have to stay ahead of the pain with the meds. If you are taking them once you're hurting bad, its to late. With time, it will get better. You will have set backs, dont let those get you down. Thoughts and prayers for the LFG Fam
When you are in that kind of pain, you have to weigh your risk. I dont think addiction is as much of an issue when you truly need it. Twice in my life, I have been on strong pain medication. Both times, when the pain was done, the pills were done.
I had back surgery at 19. I was a residential advisor at OSU while attending the school. Before surgery I was engaged, had honors and one semester away from my bachelors in computer forensics. I had never taken/abused any substance prior to my surgery. I had no idea how addicting the painkillers were, no one warned me. 4 years, 1 rehab later, I left my fiancee, dropped out of Oklahoma State. (I've finally got everything back, besides the fiancee lol.) I've been off the pain meds for a good while and looking back, had I been aware of possibility of addiction, I could have avoided 3 years of hell.
Staying ahead of the pain game is key to better morale during recovery, and yes addiction is always a worry when dealing with high strength pain meds but if your informed and mentally strong to know to only use as a pain control and not a high and know that if your body does get addicted that it's a task and a process to get off them, keep your head high and understand that any major surgery recovery will have ups and downs.. highs and lows.. happy times and depressed times but as long as you stay strong and look at the end result to get back to 100% you'll get there no prob.. and yes I do have my own experience with surgery recovery, pain control.. 9lefthip surgery's 2 hip replacements(same hip) staph infection that ran rapid and the long ruff road of recovery

This brings back sooo many hard memories for me. My ex-husband (when we were together) had to have brain surgery too. He had a large AVM (arterial venous malformation, about the size of his fist, removed from the left side & it was causing a lot of aneurysms (about 6). It was pretty bad & it ruptured which caused a stoke on his right side (he was 35 at the time), which we worked on & he was regaining the use again. Then Surgery to remove it at Emory in Atlanta (wonderful hospital). The AVM was pretty large & pretty deep & they had to manipulate the brain so much that it caused a second stoke (which pretty much made the stroke permanent), but it was successful, Thank God! He had alot of rehab but was feeling pretty good other than the stroke, within a few weeks. We separated about a year after he had his stroke for other reasons on his part, but that's ok, with what he had gone through he was entitled to lean toward financial stability & his Family. Just know that it does get better & things are looking up now.
Also, you have a Great Gal!Her job is sooo hard in sooo many ways. The job as a Caregiver is a Thankless job, not due to the Loved One, but the Strain & Pressure we put on ourselves to be Perfect in taking care of our Loved One. So Thank you to her for being such a Good Woman!God Bless Y'all!

@Awesome Llama-Unicorn How long did what take? The Surgery took about 6 hours. Recovery was pretty slow due to the Surgery (manipulation of his brain) & I haven't seen him since our Divorce to say how much progress he has made. I truely hope he is 100%. I have no hard feelings towards him, he did what he had to do & I can live with that. I just hope his Father is good to him. He said that I left him with the burden of taking care of his son & his son was right there with him. I explained that it was his choice, not mine & he won't come back home with me, I have begged him.
So, it is what it is, I guess.
I just wish him well.

Ok I'm going to leave out your poor ex-husband since I'm sure many including you of course sympathised with his experience, but. I'm...so SO sorry you had to go through that. I can't possibly even begin to imagine how painful that would have been and in so many different ways.
You sound like an amazing person and I really believe that you did everything in your power to be supportive and I'm sure he wouldn't have gotten through it as smoothly without having had you to lean on.
In the smallest..tiniest possibility that you still think about it sadly from time to time, please don't regret anything you did or doubt any decisions you made. As far as I'm concerned, you should be proud of yourself for being such a badass about it :3

Justin this video has really helped me mentally prepare for what to expect when my younger brother has brain surgery. His will be to repair damage to the frontal lobes to try and stop his seizures. The surgery has an 80% chance of being successful. I hope you heel well!

You look good man. I was in a really bad wreck as a kid and had to have reconstructive surgery on my face. Had two swollen black eyes and same jaw issues for three months. I think it will go away just fine. Give it some time
Speaking from experience, you have to stay ahead of the pain with the meds. If you are taking them once you're hurting bad, its to late. With time, it will get better. You will have set backs, dont let those get you down. Thoughts and prayers for the LFG Fam

mperdue73 Very true, and addiction is something that must be proactively gaurded against.
When you are in that kind of pain, you have to weigh your risk. I dont think addiction is as much of an issue when you truly need it. Twice in my life, I have been on strong pain medication. Both times, when the pain was done, the pills were done.
I had back surgery at 19. I was a residential advisor at OSU while attending the school. Before surgery I was engaged, had honors and one semester away from my bachelors in computer forensics. I had never taken/abused any substance prior to my surgery. I had no idea how addicting the painkillers were, no one warned me. 4 years, 1 rehab later, I left my fiancee, dropped out of Oklahoma State. (I've finally got everything back, besides the fiancee lol.) I've been off the pain meds for a good while and looking back, had I been aware of possibility of addiction, I could have avoided 3 years of hell.
Staying ahead of the pain game is key to better morale during recovery, and yes addiction is always a worry when dealing with high strength pain meds but if your informed and mentally strong to know to only use as a pain control and not a high and know that if your body does get addicted that it's a task and a process to get off them, keep your head high and understand that any major surgery recovery will have ups and downs.. highs and lows.. happy times and depressed times but as long as you stay strong and look at the end result to get back to 100% you'll get there no prob.. and yes I do have my own experience with surgery recovery, pain control.. 9lefthip surgery's 2 hip replacements(same hip) staph infection that ran rapid and the long ruff road of recovery
