Its always nice to have so extra room so you can stock some things he says as he walks between rows of shelves packed with equipments like hes a napa dealer! Man i had a good laugh!!
you never dissapoint,nice build on the parts washer. i have a big old zep parts washer my friend gave me that i refurbished. i use mostly diesel fuel with a gallon of ATF and i dump my old gas from small engines as a boost.
Great to see another vid from you, it's been awhile. Cool parts washer, gets the job done for sure. Once anyone gets a parts washer they never want to go back to a bucket with gas in it. BTW, in mine I have 5 gallons of water and 10 gallons of solvent. Solvent floats on the water. Dirt passes thru the solvent and sinks into the water. Keeps the solvent really clean for a long time.

very nicely made as expected. I like the degreaser is contained in the drum below instead in the parts washer. i have tried mineral spirits, but was dissapointingly uneffective. Maybe my mineral spirits had been exposed to air too long?
Thanks for the tip on mineral spirits. The caustic stuff from the parts store is harsh. When I first bought one from HF, I thought used some cleaner that was considered green for the environment. For one it was not very good and two, because it was mixed with water, it freezes every winter when I don't keep the heat going. I am considering modifying it to drain into a tank below. Many thanks.
Those are extra air storage for the compressor. One can use a lot of air before a start up is needed. An electric motor can use 8x the amps on the label for x amount of Ms. (Like when one notes the momentary light dim in the house when a sump pump, table saw, etc starts.) Between that thought and a homemade electric air shut off when not in use I definitely seen a drop in the electric bill. ;>)
I have an old Zep Dyna Clean that I have heavily modified/modernized and built a custom cart for so I can move it easy. But I am going to steal your idea for the internal grate. Simple solution to long time need. Do you use anything to filter? (like the sandbags) Yeah, the local fire chief (friend who just retired) made me put the fusible link on the top too...

Have you considered adding a drain valve in order to fill the washer basin? Yes I realize a secondary solvent source maybe needed.
I did very much the same thing except I used a 55-gallon drum and an old stainless steel sink with a centrifugal pump with diesel fuel.

You could just put a remote oil filter mount on the side of the tub and put a really big oil filter on it before you run it through your valve....
Are those water tanks or tanks for your waste oil up in the attic?
Those are where the waste oil is stored. There are steel beams under them when I built the building to support the weight.
