Air hose will degrade with most solvents and diesel. You need a much smaller micron filter for the thinner solvents used. Oil filters are too large micron filters to keep from starving the engine when the oil is cold and thick
Good video. I like when people show there mistakes - we are all human. Do you have a drain in your garage that you run the sink to, or do you have a bucket underneath?
@@Solitude313 Wanted to know about drain for sink not parts washer as I was thinking it would be great to have a sink in the garage but it is rare to find them with a built in drain. Just wondering about yours. Joe

Where did you buy that fitting that screws the oil filter on
Would have been nice with some links to find it on amazon.
Nice set up, nice shop
Not one person has a video showing dirty solvent pumping through the filter. How clean does it come out? Is it clear or brown colored without debris?

I appreciate that comment. No drain, other than the one at the bottom I put a valve on. I also kept the jugs the solvent came in

@@JoeAnshien Oh sorry, yes I have a built in Drain. Its just PVC to the edge of the slab and honestly still not sure where it empties into haha.
fkn awesome set up!!! Been wanting to get one also, or a utility sink. Are you able to use that solvent on aluminum?
Thank you! I am. Everything usually get a spray off and Carb Cleaner and blow out when Im done with them.
so do you wash off your parts with solvent into the sink that ends up contaminating into the sewage system for the city?
Is that solvent paint safe?
I believe so. Its not that strong to take it off, cant say Ive tried but just my thought.
Thank you. Reason I ask is I want to submerge chain saw cases in the parts washer for a day or too. Worried about losing the paint.
They will be fine with the psc1000. Havent hurt any of the saws I've submerged in it even the plastic covers.
How has the pump held up to the cleaner
Really good as that's what it's intended for. The hoses I used need to be replaced after a year now.
