Great vid Matt, I'm looking to utilise Microsoft Forms to support disseminated e-learning across an NHS trust spread over 4 separate locations, the ability to auto mark the quizzes will be a big timesaver too 👍

Thanks so much for doing this. Two questions for you:
1/ How do I give feedback to students for their written answers? My colleagues tell me that a little chat bubble appears for them when they're looking at responses, but I'm not seeing that. Am I setting it up wrong? I chose; "Add new, written, long answer, and required" when creating questions.
2/ Some colleagues tell me that when they give feedback, their students can't see either the feedback or even their own answer once it's posted.
Yes you should see the chat bubble where you can respond to any question type. Not sure why they can't see the answers.

Hi, can we put the summary of response automatically as Microsoft form?
Thank you it was helpful but when I give the quiz I don't use the quiz link I use assignments in teams, when I first publish the quiz then assignments send a message to the team the message is the quiz, and when they press view that means they started doing it, also when they submit they can't answer another time but using assignments is better thank you for reading.
Is there anyway to disable back buttons in the quiz? So students can't go back and change their answers?
Thank you so much for this. I want to use it for a language comprehension quiz...is there a way for me to attach the comprehension text to the quiz (word doc or PDF) so that the students can view the text and answer the questions simultaneously? Thanks in advance!
I don't think you can add docs but you can add images or video.
can we integrate features in microsoft form with yammer? so that we can create the quiz in yammer instead.

Thank you for such an easy-explained video. If the correct answer is (10.5) and I want to accept any answer between (10.2 - 10.8), is there any way to do so automatically?

After I post the scores to the students, can I then go back in and amend this feedback or update the scores? It says “Already Posted” and is greyed out so assuming I can’t?
Also assuming the kids can’t improve their responses based on feedback given? Do I have to create a new quiz and re-assign this to them??

how come when I produce a MS form I can export the excel workbook via one drive but when I write a quiz form it only allows me to download the workbook (no real time workbook held on one drive).?
Not sure what you mean. I tested a form and a quiz and it downloaded the same way for me. Maybe I'm not doing it the same way as you?
How can we put an image as a part of the question?
To the right of the question name, there's an image button.

Would you know how to embed one of these quizzes into sway?
Sorry for the late reply, I wasn't sure so I had to test. You can do this.
In Forms, I went to the share button and grabbed the embed code from the form. Then in Sway in added an item with the plus button, and when to Media > Embed.
I pasted in the embed code and the Sway displayed the form. I could fill out and submit the form from Sway.
Could you, please, explain this "REQUIRED" feature? I couldn't get how it works?
It means the question is mandatory.
I have a question, how you will enter if an answer has subscript or superscript value? like 10 power -6 or Eg where "g" is in subscript.

Hi, I was having this issue. It you are ever given a choice of Form OR Quiz, you must click on Quiz, if you make sure you keep doing this, then you will see the check mark option for the correct answer. Note that it seems that you can only do this when you start a new quiz and not edit it for a quiz that's already been created. I hope this helps. It worked for me!
can you please post a tutorial on how to upload an Audio i know that we can upload it on one drive , but when i send the link to start the quiz it wont open . thank you
Just so I'm clear - you want to put an audio in the form for people to listen to? or have them upload audio to the form?

In the form, go to the Share button > Who can fill in this form > One response per person. Yes it will show you total points in the Excel.
Hello, I have a question about the Microsoft form quiz. I tried to create one quiz. I choose the option multiple choice questions. I wrote the question and the students should choose the 3 correct answers from the 5 answers. If the student found 2 answers from the 3 correct he/she get 0 points. Do you know please a setting/solution from this? If the students find 2 of 3 they get 2 of 3 and not 0/3 Thanks.Stelios

What if it doesn't show who submitted and it only says respodent 3 and respodent 4?
If you shared it anonymously, then you want see a name. Could that be it?
@@CollaborationCoach No actually.Everything was all right in sittings.The reason was that I submited from the same computer from which I made the quiz.I already fixed it ,but thank you anyways😁
The version of teams that I am using does not have the option to show the correct answer or to add feedback. What else can I do to add these features to my quiz
I don't think you can do that.
Hi Ena. I initially had the same problem before I realised that I was creating a 'form' instead of a 'quiz'. In order to be able to select a correct answer and add feedback you need to make sure that you are creating a quiz. The layouts of a form and a quiz are almost identical apart from this key difference. Good luck.
After I make the quiz how do I go back into Microsoft Teams and access it??? I'm lost. I can see the quiz but where is the link?? I mean I need the link to share it by email, for example. Thanks! I loved the video!👍👍👍
Add your quiz to Teams by adding a form tab to your channel.

You can set a start and end date for when the quiz can be taken:

But there’s no timer to make sure it’s completed in a set time once it’s been started.

It can do branching. Open up the form you want to do branching with, and go to the ellipsis in the top right and choose branching.

Yes you can - add Sections and that will separate the questions into different pages. On the Quiz choose 'Add New' go to the little down pointing arrow at the far right of the tool bar and then choose Section. Then you can add one question to that section and then add another section.

Is that possible to fix the time to attempt the quiz, one response per person, and freezing the quiz to be reloaded? Kindly guide, so that quiz can be taken avoiding cheating.

Can I create the quiz question set on behalf of a faculty and share with a particular set of students (say 5 of total 25 students?)
Note: A seperate channel is already created for this 5 set of students and I have included faculty(6th member) in the same channel.
* Once students attempt the quiz I want the faculty to look at the responses and not me.
* Can the faculty export the scores directly to an excel sheet ?.

If you want the faculty to see the results, either create a Group form, or share it with them with the Share button and choose; 'Share to collaborate'.
You can put a form into the channel, but you can't share it with a channel. You can only choose to share with 'Anyone with the link' or 'Anyone in your organisation'
Is it possible for MICROSOFT QUIZ to recognise several parts of an answer? eg: TRANSLATE into French "what time is it?" WHAT TIME = one point; IS IT = one point. So if a student got the first part wrong, but the second part correct, s/he will earn 1 point out of 2?
I don't think so, there's nothing in the app that can do that.
How to show random question yo each user like for 10 question quiz show 10 question to a user out of 100 set of questions randomly?

If your form is a quiz, you can edit the form, go to the ellipsis at the top right, choose settings, and then check 'shuffle questions' from the 'options for responses' section.

What would have happened if the quizz is submitted and comes back without names but with respondent 1,2 etc?
Perhaps the person answering the quiz had not logged in, and Forms didn't capture the name.
I need the users taking the quiz to retake the quiz until they get a certain percent correct. Is that an option?
You can let the them take it multiple times, but there's no way to automate letting them know about the retake.
If 160 students are doing the exam at the same time, is the exam same for all of the students or is there possibility that there are several groups of the exam with different questions at the same time?
It's the same for all students.
Is it possible to submit the answer to every question separately?

Yes everyone in your org, that logs into Microsoft 365 when they fill out the form, should use their company email and it will be captured by the form.
Is there any way to apply negative marking for wrong answers on Microsoft Team?
I don't think so
For text answers, is microsoft forms case sensitive in checking the answers?
I had to test it, but it wasn't case sensitive. For example, it took the word 'answer' as a correct when it was actually 'Answer'.

How do we get the response name wise...how it will pick the name of agent
It'll pick up the name if the responder logs into Office 365. You can control whether it collects the name of not through the 'Who can fill in this form' in the form settings.

You have to respond to the quiz in one go, you can't save it half way for example.
I am not able to see the name / email address of the person responding.
Open the form, go to the Share button, where it says, 'Send and Collect Responses' choose 'only people in my organisation can respond' from the drop down. That will collect names and emails. To view the email addresses, go to the choose 'open in excel' on the Responses tab.
@@CollaborationCoach What if I have to choose the option 'anyone with this link can respond?' I created the first question as give your name with zero points to that answer and later when opened in excel sheet, I could get their names. However, I feel there should be a direct way to do this.
Anyone links means anyone can respond to the form, whether they are logged in or not, which means you may not always get usernames.

Yes if you set to 'anyone with a link can respond' in the form settings

Edit the quiz? Go back into Forms and you can make changes to any Quiz you've created.

Does Microsoft Forms save your progress in the quiz?
No it has to be completed in one go.
I created my first quiz. All the students completed it, but unlike 06:07 the quiz came back anonymous.
In order to get the account name the responders have to login to Office 365. Check that they are doing that and not responding anonymously.
