Did canva take this away with their new "glowup"???? I am following the steps exactly, and same steps here as in other videos, and there is no longer an option fpr "Delete Image" and "Delete frame" when you select the image in Canva after uploading as a project :( I've used both photopea and photoshop... neither works.
I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but I cannot get it to let me delete the image once I’m back in canva. I’ve watched your video 3 times and everything is the same except for the last step. Any idea what I’m doing wrong? Thank you!
I am sorry you feel misled. There is no current way to create a custom canva frame fully within canva. This is why so many people can't figure it out and why I have made the tutorial.
Omg I did it!! I have been searching how to do this for awhile then BAM clicked on your video and got one made.. Now just gotta do a few more.. I do need help with doing cut files though.. Am I able to email you?
Thank you. I am just learning Canva. Love your video on how to create your own frames. I was able to create but each time I do a word invariably one of the letters I can't seem to remove the background from the center of the letter. For an example an o. So it ends up being a solid shape-looks like an oval. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I go to delete that background center of the o and it turns the entire letter black. I'm not proficient in photopea. Any suggestions?
Hello! My guess is that the middle of the "O" is not merged in photopea prior to saving as a PSD. Check to make sure that all pieces are merged into one layer in the layers panel. Hope this helps!
is this only for graphics created in canva? it seems that something created by ai would not work. Is there any specifics about which graphic types can be used for that?
I am sorry to hear that! Ill create another video using another platform other than photopea and see that that is helpful. It seems to be very 50/50 for people this is working for.
Hello! Are you referring to creating the PNG file for this or for Mockups? If you are referring to the PNG files, I suggest checking out this video and downloading my freebie with the sublimation templates ready for you to use in Canva. ruclips.net/video/cAGSEZlhRzQ/видео.html
Hello! I am sorry you are having trouble. If you Right Click on the image do you see an option that says "Detach Image"? If not, then something went wrong in Photopea. I would just start fresh. I have a new video on Frames coming out tomorrow morning if you need addition help.
Hi there - I am following along and have gotten to the point where you pulled in a digital image. What file type must this be to work? I am trying to use a JPEG but the Clipping Mask part won't work. Where do you get digital backgrounds from as well?
PNG, JPG etc. should work just fine. You can find digital papers in a lot of different areas, I design most of mine but you can also go to places like creative fabrica and click on their free section and search for digital paper. Make sure that you are selecting open/place and that the image if above your SVG file prior to doing your clipping mask. Hope this helps.
@@sellingdigital Nah, I tried 10 times with other images then Canva, and no good. It deletes whole image after PSD uploaded in Canva. I did the same with Canva frames, and it works 100% every time
@@sellingdigital I have been trying to figure this out for a while. Still learning Canva and never used Photopea. I have saved my image as png, go it into photopea. Got a digital paper from CF. When I add the paper to photopea, it takes away my svg. I have tried it several times. What am I missing? Thank you!

same here.
Great question!! I will test this out and see. It didn't occur to me that the glow up could be why some are having issues and some are not!

Hummm Verify that you have fully merged all layers into 1 design prior to adding the clipping mask. Other than this I am not quite sure.
same
it's a photopea tutorial, not a canva tutorial.. it's helpful i'm, sure but not what i was looking for. i feel a little misled by the title... alas..
I am sorry you feel misled. There is no current way to create a custom canva frame fully within canva. This is why so many people can't figure it out and why I have made the tutorial.
Finally. After HOURS of trying to find a video that ACTUALLY worked for creating custom frames...THIS WAS IT! Thank you!
YAY!!!! I am so pleased to hear this! I try really hard to find what would help people the most.
Help! Mine doesn't upload in designs, it just uploads as a picture so the whole thing deletes instead of photo/frame. What am I doing wrong?
Same thing is happening to mine as well 😩

I am looking into this. Another commenter asked if the Glow Up effected this. By chance do you have the Glow up version of Canva?
Yes. I do have the glow up!
i follow your tutorial but why in the canva my photo have no delete image.. delete all only
I am looking into this. Another commenter asked if the Glow Up effected this. By chance do you have the Glow up version of Canva?
To add to this, I think they took it away because they now have an app within Canva that's called "image to frame" that does this all within canva.
Love this! You have just made a HUGE difference in my Etsy business 😊 Can’t wait to add this to my store! Thank you!
YAY I am so happy to hear that! Thank you so much for watching.
Didn't work

I still trying to learn canva and computers. How do I get the image over from canva to photopea
This video here may help! ruclips.net/video/NGYJiF5v4ys/видео.htmlsi=1_mptzOFk4Xk-QvM
OK but what if the image you choose DOES have more than one layer?!
I will dive into this more but I believe you would need to make multiple frames.
When I open the digital paper it is deleting my original image :( any tips/tricks?
When opening the digital paper make sure to select open/place. Otherwise it will open an entirely new document instead.

great tutorial
OO noo when i get it back to canva i press delete image and it deltes the whole thing :( what am i doing wrong?
If you right click on your design in Canva can you select "Detach image"? If not, I suspect that something went wrong in the process in Photopea.
this was so simple and well explained. THANK YOU!
You're very welcome! Thank you for watching!
Very cool! Can they be exported? And how. Have you tried selling your Canva frames on Etsy? Would love a tutorial. Thanks
