I have ostrich fear there’s that got wet. How do I get them back fluffy?

If they got soaking wet, they may unfortunately have a hard time coming back to life. You can try reviving them by putting them in a mesh bag with some dryer sheets and a very low tumble dry setting in the dryer. But try first combing the flue with your fingers and using steam to fluff them up before using the dryer.. Good luck!

Hi Michelle, cleaning feathers depends on the style and application. Are your feathers attached to a garment that can be dry cleaned or washed by hand? And, do you know the style of your feather? (ostrich, chandelle boa, etc).
TO WASH: If the style of feather can be washed, we recommend hand wash/rinse in cold water.
TO DRY: stick your garment in a zipped pillow case and dry on NO HEAT for approx 20 mins. OR, use a blow dryer with no heat. Then use a clothing steamer to open the feathers to their original/natural form.

This is a hard one to answer without knowing what it looks like. If you can, email a picture to tfpla@featherplace.com and we may be able to help you fix whats happening with the boa :) Thanks!

@@TheFeatherPlace What I ended up doing was cutting a little length off for some feather peeling up a layer and hot gluing it to the core and then dabbing some down on to of that. It worked pretty good.
