    idk y but I always get teary eyed whenever I watch haka.. I feel like crying even if I can't understand a word they're saying.. it's weird

    Scalp tingles when I watch them. Their tribute to a fallen soldier returning from Afghanistan is stunning.

      This haka was performed at a funeral for a High Ranking Maori Chief Sir Howard Morrison.

    Its emotional, it is an exoression, but its first and foremost life or death. Respect is always at the highest level, because everything about this is serious business. Im from Samoa, I dont know much about the maori culture, but everything is familiar to me if that makes sense. Because a few hundred miles this way, are warriors of the same cloth.

      Traditional Māori funeral. We call it a tangi. It is to honour the strength of the deceased and to inform the afterlife that a warrior is about to arrive.

    It is certainly a very good Haka, but probably not the most powerful Haka ever. The Haka's performed by the NZ Defence Force or anything connected to the military, past or present is by far the best. Take a look at this Haka honouring the 28 Maori Battalion.
