As a Panthers fan I really appreciate hearing this from a Vegas fan. I've seen too many comments from Vegas "fans" (who I can't be entirely sure aren't salty Boston or Toronto trolls) calling the Panthers classless thugs who didn't deserve to win the Cup, among other garbage. To hear a Vegas fan have nothing but amazement and respect for the Panthers is a breath of fresh air. Hopefully we'll see you next year in the Finals for a rematch..

And seeing them get so close just to fall to the sword of the Golden Knights quite literally broke him. Especially after getting to see such an amazing Cinderella run! Drugs, prostitution, crime, alcohol, etc. What's actually being said is this "We're (VGK) swimming with the "sharks"(villains, other NHL away teams coming to the fortress) until we drown (if VGK becomes complacent, or mentally/physically relaxed and too headstrong when playing against the villains, than VGK will drown (and the team has proved this all six years, normally losing against the easier teams, the ones they should not have a problem beating, and because of that notion, they end up paying the price)." Granted FL wouldnt be shorthanded all game like they are with him playing but without his scoring they were toast.
In a nutshell, they lacked the depth necessary to win the series. Great goaltending, coupled with average defence and average offence, has never won a Cup in modern history. The Panthers had no real chance against the weapons Vegas had.
We ran out aMASH unit in game 5. Ekblad with no shoulders, Gudas with half a leg, Matt couldn’t even play, we had 3 AHL call ups out there. Enjoy the win. Nothing we can do now
I’m just happy they beat the Leafs and silenced their insufferable fanbase. Always liked the Panthers, but after crushing the Leafs, they earned my respect. Those guys are what playoff hockey is all about.

I don't think the game was rigged. It was just the Panthers couldn't close it out with Matthew out of the game, and a lot of the players were hurt. It just wasn't your guys' time to WIN.
That cup series was total domination by the Knights. The Panthers were never even really in it. The one game that they did win, took everything they had. They barely won that in OT.
