- dUg Pinnick (Bass - King's X), Eric Gales (Guitar - Eric Gales Band) and Thomas Pridgen (Drums - ex-Mars Volta) met and played together for the first time in the summer of 2012. The results were explosive as this new supergroup created a blend of Blues, Metal, Psychedelia with influences from Cream, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Audioslave, Tool, Living Colour and Soundgarden. Their new album "Pinnick Gales Pridgen" will be released February 12, 2013 on Magna Carta.

The joy on Thomas Pridgen's face as he plays pretty much sums up how I feel about this song, and the entire album as well.
There r some stubborn people out there that can't keep or maintain good things.. Am a black guy and just happy to c dis 3 guys making good music n entertaining every body. It doesn't matter their race so why can't everyone enjoy it like everyone is and stop this black n white nonsense.. How long r we going to curry on with dis blk n white? Life is short let forgive n move on n enjoy the few yr that's left 4 us. Peace

And all I'm gonna say is that (as a black rocker myself) for years people have looked at black rockers as though they were something that escaped from a petrie dish. This collaboration is every bit as significant as Band of Gypsies and look at how long ago that was. Your shoes and my shoes, though similar have seen different turns and alleys, my man. Its just another day in America. No harm no foul, man.
FUCK YEAH I forgot how much I loved Eric's guitar playing and I have NEVER forgotten how much Dougs bass playing and vocals have shaped my love for Kings X New to me is Mr. Pridgen playing but he kicks ass. A GEM.

I've listened to this song several times and it just blows me away every time. The music really packs a punch but what really speaks to me are the lyrics. I love songs that have something to say not only musically but lyrically. I can't wait for this CD to arrive in my mailbox!

Das-a-lot-more-than-was-up, Eric. This is fuc*ing awesome, that's what it is. Even my 2-year-old son who hasn't been much of the rock type of person seems to be hypnotized by this kick-ass song. What can I say other than motherfuc*ing amazing!!! Keep em coming, bro, and please come play in Brazil. We desperately need to hear some good music down here.

This is the real deal! Love Dug & Eric together, the dueling vocals are cool, and it's nastier than an ex baptist preacher in a cheap hotel. Rocking!
This is what its all about. i urge all to remember that music goes beyond race. the universal language, remember? Dont make the mistake of categorizing or labeling. When we do this we sacrifice experiencing the expression of the artist. These talented musicians getting together and creating music for us should not be even remotely associated with the twisted psycho-social phenomenon we call "racism". Music is shared and experienced, it is felt and heard, it is played and enjoyed. it is Divine.
Thank You brothers for doing this kind of magnificent stuff. There seems still to be music in this world!

I hear that. I've always loved music that crosses the boundaries... funk rock has the best of everything, the power, the groove... Hendrix, Trapeze, Mothers Finest, Living Colour, Dan Reed Network, they've been my inspiration as a musician for over 30 years.

Balls to the walls rock like the stuff I grew up on back in the early 70's. Jimmy Hendricks would be humbled. Music goes good with Tangerine Dream.
