  • I came across this video sitting in my hard drive and have decided to upload it. I had cobbled together a few clips from some of my flights over the old Steel works at Lackenby, Middlesbrough. It's a collection to show the demolition progress.

    Nice Vid......i used to work there back in 1975 for a few years.....i was an Overhead Crane driver in the BOS Plant

    Nicely done Mick 👍🏻 Such a huge plant that used to belch out flames like a dragon. I’ve been considering putting some of my steelworks footage together.

    Really emotional! I used to carry out maintenance work on this site and the site at Redcar. Such a massive shame the UK government allowed this to happen without a 2nd thought.

    i worked on that plant in the 1970s for head wrightsons i made some good friends so sad to see it go with all the hard work that was done

      Hi Philip, thanks for getting in touch. I worked at ICI Billingham. I've taken up the camera drone hobby and that demolition was happening just as I started.

    I think they should rebuild and make new updated steel mill to keep this country great again
