Thanks! I get so nervous when it comes to using a new tool. Being able to see the steps on screen is always a relief. Regards from Mexico. :)

Hi, how to set permanently in the program Fade in font Courier New in which I would like to write because this font has Polish characters? Whenever I set this font after a while the program knocks it out and puts Courier screenwriter font. I want to write in Polish and for me it is a hindrance when I cannot use Polish characters. Please suggest what to do to write Courier New freely?

What you want to do is change the underlying formatting for the document. Do that by going to Document > Change Document Font.
You can also use Format > Element Styles > Modify Element Style > Normal Text and change the font. Changing the font for Normal Text will affect all other element styles based on it (meaning any of the built-in elements). This has the same effect as Change Document Font.
To change the font for all future documents, set the font under Preferences > General > Default font for new documents.

I so appreciate your inciteful and educational videos. I purchased Fade in after watching your reviews. Excellent program...love it. I finished my first screenplay (whew) and included some pictures as suggestions for characters appearances. When saved to PDF the images were moved and distorted. How can I prevent that from happening again?
How can I make a donation for all your help? I want to say thank you for your help.

Thank you Lana for your kind words. I am so excited with you finishing your script. That is so awesome! Let me look into the pdf issue and see if there is a fix for that.
I am honored you would want to give me a donation. I just set up a buy me a coffee account. So if you would like to donate to the channel that would be wonderful. Thank you for your generosity!

One suggestion is to use a different pdf creator than the one provided with Fade In. Here is what Fade IN suggests is a blog post:
      www.fadeinpro.com/kb/index.php?action=faq&cat=1&id=37&artlang=en

Another answer can be found here:www.fadeinpro.com/kb/index.php?action=faq&cat=1&id=34&artlang=en
I know this is about text font but I wonder if the pdf generator is taking the image files for something similar. Let me know if either of these solutions work.

      @@ScreenwritingScribe thanks again Paul.
I will try using MS Word which I am familiar with. First, I will have to see if I can copy and paste to Word or save from file that already exists. Best of everything in everything!

How to set the FADE IN program to use Polish characters in fonts? Please explain it to me step by step

    • @ScreenwritingScribe
      @ScreenwritingScribe  6 месяцев назад +1

I talked to the creator and he told me this...
If they’re using a Polish keyboard, they should be able to type directly; otherwise they’ll need to enter accented characters:
      www.fadeinpro.com/kb/content/3/43/en/how-to-type-accents.html
It’s also important to be using a font that supports Polish characters:

@@ScreenwritingScribe Thank you for the hint, I wanted to write with Courier font, because it has Polish characters, unfortunately I do not know why , but it does not write with them...I used Courier Prime, I hope it will also be an acceptable font when writing the script?

You have to export the document back to the desktop version of fade in. Through iCloud. In the desktop version you can then create a pdf. Let me know if that makes sense. Thanks!

@ Yup. Unlike Scrivener which is the full program when you buy it on iOS Fade IN mobile is just an extension of the desktop program.
