  • 🚨Devastating and unfortunate RV Inspection findings! Who would believe this 6-month-old 2023 Newmar Superstar 4059 with such low mileage, stored under cover, custom built and painted to this sellers' specifications, would have 3 slide-outs totally misaligned?
😠How could this Newmar Superstar 4059 be coming out of the production line of such a renowned manufacturer and slide through QC at the manufacturing plant?
👉From first glimpse and throughout the day, the structural engineering is left to doubt the state of quality control of this Newmar Superstar 4059 RV.
🛑The 6 months left of warranty might save this seller from avoiding a total loss on this normally beautiful coach and construction. The seller was astounded by our RV Inspection findings as we shared the obvious when he went back to his RV at the end of the day!

Not sure how there has not been a gigantic class action lawsuit against almost every RV manufacturer that have made units in the last 10 years. These manufacturers need to be held accountable for this garbage.

@@blueoxontherun9188 And that is a big problem, in my opinion. I am sick of hearing about soft-closing cabinets as if it is a big deal. In 2006, Ikea cabinets were soft closing so I don't want to hear about it as innovative and luxurious. Where are the air bags? Where is the crash testing? Where is the seamless fiberglass roofs? Tell me Pierre, we all see these huge warehouses and even RV dealer buildings made from precast concrete panels. They are attched to each other with what looks like a sealant/adhesive. Are the owners of these building resealing each panel every 5 years? I'll stop but could keep going.

@@rbmcobra Many of us remember the quality of autos in the 70's and prior. Nothing fit, and the sqeaks and rattles were unbelievable; you got rid of it between 25 and 30 thousand miles because is was a half way used up, and god forbid you get to 100 thousand, it would be worthless. What changed? Well, first Dr. Demming taught the Japanese how to build a better car based on the idea it costs less to do it correctly the first time than to fix it later, after American manufacturers would not pay him any attention, and second, the human element was removed from much of the manufacturing process. Robots, welding, stamping, painting, etc. Robots and other technology, such as cnc routers, produce consistent work with very low tolerances. How many robots are used for these types of tasks in RVs?

Watching these videos validates why we've never purchased an RV. A good friend of mine ran one of the largest dealers in Vegas as the General Manager. He told me and I quote: "We in the industry call RV "ruined vacations". I'm not kidding. I asked him if he watched the Robin Williams movie "RV". He said "absolutely. What most people don't know is there's more truth to that movie than people realize".

It doesn't mater if it's new or not, the money you spend is worth every penny weather you buy or not. In the past few years home buyers a not having inspections to buy the home. They are having the same type issues you find during the RV inspections. Once you buy it it's your issues. Always have an inspection for a piece of mind

We discovered you guys yesterday. My wife and I have been watching your videos. THANK YOU!
In 2016 we started looking at RVs. We looked at everything. We ended up being too scared to buy one. We ended up buying a Built for Us 2019 Fiberglass Casita. A simple, easy-to-fix Camper.
We started looking at Class A's. all the way down to campers. We were terrified of what we found for quality. We had to readjust what we wanted to buy.
I discovered the RV inspector's website and would always paste the information on the forums when people ask about buying a new RV.

Hey, guys, really enjoy your insight and diligence. Now, a question (or two): When do you discuss the independent inspection you're planning with the dealer? Should that be noted on the Sales Contract (with signatures)? What else should be note in the Sales Contract/Agreement re: the inspection? Should the inspectors recommendation as to a repair the dealer can do and what should go back to the mfgr for repair? etc. As you can tell, I'm a "newbie". Thanks so much.

Then, after their report is sent to their service department, you wil be advise when work is completed, and only then you will finalize your paperwork with them.
Do NEVER get entangled by the famous salesperson line...." don't worry, that will all be taking care of when you come back " 🥴🧐😲

Newmar was known for outstanding quality, particularly their slides with the flush fit. Your inspection speaks to their current state of affairs under Winnebago. Personally, unless I was given the deal of the century and lived next to the repair center, I would walk on this deal. Those slides will not be a quick fix requiring a minor adjustment, and electrical gremlins frighten me as tracking down wiring issues can be very time consuming. Hope you found some good Cajun food!

I have a 2017, and the slide problems are not new. I have issues with all my slides other than the simple bed slide. Winnebago had nothing to do with it. In one of Andrew Steel's interviews at Newell, they discussed slides. Newell thinks a slide should do one thing; slide in and out. Not in/out and up and down. to achieve a flat floor, the main floor goes up and down to be at the same height as the slide achieving a flat floor. Thus, the slides and floor each only move in one direction. While I am on slides, have you ever seen a Newell or a Prevost with a full wall slide?

Thankfully, I'm just north of Elkhart and my tech can do the adjustments in his shop. Would have been something that I missed in our multiple trips to see the RV. Inspector even pressure tested all 4 tanks, the water system, he did a full run through.
Absolutely agree that getting an inspection pre-purchase is a HUGE deal.. if nothing else gets some peace of mind from someone who's not emotionally involved with your purchase, and at best, find the smaller stuff that can be easily overlooked before it becomes big stuff!

I think it is safer to keep the problems I have than trade them for new ones. The very sad part about all these bad rigs you inspect is that someone will buy them and not know until it's too late. We had it 3rd party inspected before taking delivery 18 months ago and we were told our coach had the fewest number of "Flag" items of any new coach that he had inspected. My wealthy friends bought a new Newmar from Ft Myers and within one month it was falling apart, they returned it and it sat in service for a year before they got legal counsel and were able to force the dealer to buy back the coach. They bought what they thought was the best and got a real POS...inagine the coaches that arent "the best" they must be collosal failures of pseudo engineering lol great video guys!

750 K for this? No way no how. Still under 6 months of warranty? No way it will take that long to get a small part of the fixed so they can run the warranty out. I've seen that done more than once. PDI my butt you guys are the first to do one.
Things will only change if enough people get a true PDI done. Better yet the lenders demand one before lending the money to buy it.
You are so right about hiring two inspectors at one time when they hire you guys and you play to each other's strength and makes for a better inspection.
Mr P don't apologize for being anal! A good inspector should be very anal as they are going give the best inspection. Just my opinion for what it's worth.
You guys are the best and I love to see each one you make. You are making a difference! Keep up the good work. Yes I like the bloopers and kids at the end giving your saying about its a journey. It gives me a laugh as the kids do it.

I’m horrified by the shoddy workmanship of Newmar and have decided that I would not consider buying a new one. I’m hearing the same thing from other manufacturers who appear to have lost their ability to build quality RVS. I’d rather buy an older used model when they took more pride in the vehicles & problems have been sorted.
I just want to add that I would never ever consider buying any RV without having a full independent inspection both prior and after any repairs.
Coming from Europe you have legal support if your a manufacturer or the company would have it’s license revoked. It’s a death trap if it’s not possible to manufacture it to its full working capabilities and the fines can be massive.

It didn't take Winnebago long to trash Newmar after buying the manufacturer so it can eliminate the competition in such an evil way. Newmar will probably cease operation soon and Winnebago will deny it was an intentional consolidation of the RV industry.
It's unfortunate that Newmar committed suicide voluntarily.
Watch what happens to Tiffin as well. Since Thor bought them, quality has gone down and consumer dissatisfaction has gone up as Thor does the same thing to Tiffins as Winnebago is doing to Newmar.
