THANK you . Being a native / black person in the floral world its surprising the lack of color in this industry. I love love watching your videos and you have helped me so much thanks SIS.
THIS!! 🥲💕 is why I continue to make videos and do what I do!! Its important to show that you can do anything you want in life no matter race or gender you are. I’m so glad I could help inspire you! It’s messages like yours that really make my day ✨
I absolutely adore your arrangements. They are unique, beautiful, and fun. It gives me ideas for a new floral design business I am starting in my retirement.
Hello, I was watching a flower wrapping video. As my love for flowers have grown and the thought to try out creating my own bouquets for those I love. Especially to have cool ways to wrap them as stores tend to just do the simple wrapping. Today, as I was watching a wrapping video. I got this spark to own a flower business. Creating bouquets for people and selling. The excitement and joy at the light planning I have. Even a name and slogan in the works! Went on tiktok to start my research on those having businesses and how they've started. First video I watched, the lady recommended your channel. In response to knowing how to price. Haven't yet watched that video, as this is my first one. Anywhoo, this got length but thank you. For making videos and sharing your knowledge. Muaah Much Love, X.A ❣️
Aw thank you so much for your sweet comment!! I hope it works out for you! If you have questions DM me on Instagram @flowersbyalexis. I also have a free pricing guide linked on my pricing video to help break it down further. Good luck to you 🌸
Oh my goodness! I love the colors and design you used! I am not a fan of roses, but that color is stunning. You definitely have an eye for how to work with colors and textures. So gorgeous! Also, I love that you included ranunculus. They are my favorite flower ❤
I would love to see more than everyday arrangements and bouquets. Would love to see you work some sympathy/funeral designs like casket sprays and saddles.
Hello Aleexsichristine, I have just joined your youtube channel. I loved your voice and teaching style so much that I decided to join you instead of a flower design class after a few days of searching. I look forward to upgrading to the pro channel after a few months of learning the basics.
Thank you for subscribing and joining the membership program!! Welcome to the academy!! I hope you learn a ton. Feel free to email me with questions and your progress pictures as you create to alexischristinefba@gmail.com or on instagram @flowerbyalexis. I am glad to have you 🌸
You are amazing! I have learned so much from your videos. You are beautiful inside and out. Appreciate your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and love of flowers.
Would be good each time you do a bouquet just to mention the approx cost of stems, what they cost you and how much you charge, and a final costing for a finished item.
Loved your video thank you for sharing your knowledge. My question is with the use of the chicken wire how would you instruct the customer to care for the arrangement over the next week or so. Are they still advised to trim the stems? Thanks so much.
Excellent question! I would advise them to change the water daily. Because the flowers are “locked in” the chicken wire, it would be too challenging to have to pull out every stem. I hope this helps
Hi! I love watching your videos! Thank you so much for sharing this and all of the info that you share! Would you PLEASE do a video that covers how to price everything? And will you share how/where to get a wholesale pricing list? I'm a new flower farmer/florist and need help with pricing! THANK YOU!! 💐😀
Hi Alexxis, this was a beautiful video I have learned so much! I do have a question. How do you know what flowers are in season? Do you do lots of research and just learn as you go? I wanted to learn how to make flowers arrangements but if a flower isn't in season I want to be able to let them know right away instead of not knowing or forgetting to tell them.
Hi there! Honestly over time working at a flower shop I just learned what’s in season. I came out with a flower identification book that tells you how to pronounce the flower, it gives you the time of year they are in season in as well as what pairs well with each flower. I’ll leave a link here so u can check it out for yourself 🌸 amzn.to/3zD3kIg
Im glad to hear this! As of right now I do not have any scheduled, but I do have weekly videos for beginners that you can design along with here on RUclips, here is the link the join ruclips.net/channel/UCgvf58WO_Bzi8g6NxhYixDwjoin
The flower King Lorenzo loves this hair I have been selling flowers for like 35 years and still trying to learn more you are telling some real good things and definitely you are very very beautiful lady and I will continue to watch your posting so please I'm trying to see how I can subscribe I'm not real good with that but peace and love God be with you
Yes make a pricing video! I am a 22-year-old Who is just starting in the flower business since about eight months ago. And I own my own shop but I need to get better at my prices.
I have a question about the chicken wire. The chicken wire has the pros of helping to figure out the structure of a design, it isn't bad for the customer's health, and it doesn't get everywhere. But one of the reasons foam is used (if I remember correctly from class) is that it helps keep water in for the plants. So would it be like a vase for the chicken wire, where you just fill up the container with water? Or is there wet tissue paper or something in the bottom?
Yeah there's water in the bottom. The chicken wire is purely structural so the flowers don't flop about in the container. Really the only benefit of oasis (floral foam) is there's no loose water so spills won't happen, but it's really not worth the giant list of negatives..
a general rule for flower pricing, if you have an $80 flower arrangement at retail price, you want to spend 30% of that in flowers/materials. so that would be $24 for materials and flowers.

Great job! Beautiful arrangement ☺️
Thank you so much!!
I have a suggestion . . . How about a small lazy Susan to put your vase on so you can easily rotate to work all sides of the arrangement.
what you usually do with the tape on the vase once you finished
I am very interested in your zoom classes!!

Thank you so much ❤️
Beautiful !!! How much should an arrangement like this be priced ?
I gotta make a video on this topic! this is a highly requested subject
Would love a tropical design
Will do!
Beautiful arrangement ! I noticed you didn't speak about "flower food". What are your thoughts on this?
I don’t really think it’s all the way necessary 🤫 as long as your water and vase/ bucket is clean your flowers will be fine

@@PigwigginsFigs thank you for that!
The monthly subscription- speaking to the $9.99 subscription; does that include faux floral design classes?
Hi there, at this time it’s all real live flowers that I work with, but I can definitely do a class on faux flowers
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
How much (on average) does an arrangement like this cost to make?
for anyone else wondering I found another one of her videos that addresses this question - ruclips.net/video/BrbmrsIK8sY/видео.html
a general rule for flower pricing, if you have an $80 flower arrangement at retail price, you want to spend 30% of that in flowers/materials. so that would be $24 for materials and flowers.
How can I sign up for zoom classes
Hi there, here is the link to my website www.flowersbyalexisfba.com/spring-classes
👍👏
What is the difference between a Floral designer & a Florist ? 🌺💐🌷🌼 Beautiful work. I wish I thought about a career in this when I was younger
When is the next class
I am coming out with a flower school that I plan to release soon, sign up on my website to get updates about it 🥰
And...what would you charge for that one?
I told the price in the video, 80-100 depending on where you live
good day, what is the color of the carnation? is it pinkish? thus it goes well together with yellow? thanks
Are you a Florist ?
I love it, it s really lovely, but that one flower that is higher than all the rest really bugs me, lol
Love your videos, but the constant use of the word “like “drives me up the wall. It does not sound professional at all.
Since this video I’ve been more conscious of the word like,…
I also keep this channel pretty casual and not professional. If u want professional I recommend going to flower school here on RUclips
Great video, I definitely learned a few very helpful tips !🤍
Hy Aleexischritine please add me to your classes please help me am new here
