That was a mangrove snapper they come in that dark red sometimes. Only has to be 10 inches to keep

TA Colton 16 it’s not that’s 100% a mangrove snapper a very popular inshore snapper. If your catching snapper close to shore it’s most likely a mangrove.
@@mattandrews8528 Nah, it has the tell tale white triangle under the eye and yellow tinged fins, 100% a small dog snapper. At that size they look like a cross between a mango and school master.

Closing beaches is just plain stupid! Stay away from others sure but the beaches are big enough!

Nothing better than those spool tech. I’ve been threw many and all different colors, but they are great for snook fishing. ESP on Indian river blvd

In miami the dinner key marina is full of large barracudas great light to medium tackle action spoons any shining lure will get crushing strikes!!

Hi Mate ,@Fishaholic I am an old subscriber of yours, the best way to tackle these small brutes on the sharp oyster shells is to have a long Floro leader with FG knot ,and use a baitcaster where you put it in free spool as soon as the line touches the structure and you engage the drag back when you have a better angle .
I bet half those fish around the docks are pets

Cuda´s are fine eating fish. Few bones and firm flesh. My favorite for Seviche. And Forget about Ciguatera, Cuda has been the fish I have caught most since the first one I caught when about 11 yrs old in early 1960´s. Spear and line and up to 40 lbs. Not a sick one ever

For that area those were pretty small Cudas but at least you were able to get something for dinner. There are some monster Cudas in the same area you were fishing trust me!!😎👍👍

I'm here since ( south west FL.) 2013 and got over 3,000 miles on the water logged on my chart plotter. Guess what 90% of the fish are in the canals. Look for depth changes.
