For all those who say bad sectors can't be repaired, you're right they can't be repaired, since its physical damage on the disk. But what this program does is, it marks all the damaged sectors as bad so the OS knows and wont use those sectors again. The best solution is to replace the disk, but this process will at least recover data and/or extend the usage of HDD for some more time until it totally fails.

Once marked bad, are they hidden from the drive, thus HDD Regenerator won't try to recover blocks already marked as bad.
@Thimira Ayodya Yes, Soft bad sectors may be repaired and recovered by Zero fill or Checkdisk. Hard bad sectors cannot be repaired, they can only be marked as bad sectors so that sector will not be accessed.
Its very unlikely that lot of sectors consecutively get damaged, so if your photo/video file has some bad sectors it won't be played by any video player and it can't be copied using windows explorer but in reality the unreadable sectors in video file are negligible but even if one sector can't be read by player video won't work and will be called as "corrupted video", you can force copy that video to your healthy drive using some tools like 'copycat 3.0' and if it wouldn't be able to read data from specific sector, it will skip it byte by byte without freezing/stopping copying process there, after file has been copied you can use video repair software to fix corrupted video.

Got a bad 1TB external HDD, many bad sectors, this program is finding them and fixing them, found over 3000 now, it seems to work, but for 1TB it will take more than a day to finish so I stopped it, will start again tomorrow morning and keep you updated on the progress, so far so good !
Update 1: I started again at 8am this morning (May 14th), right now it's at 50% and going(6pm now), it has found 2085 more bad sectors and i's fixing them all, keep in mind that I've had to press escape a few times and then press 1 for it to continue, cause it seemed stuck, but it does work, so far so good.

Worked like a charm...My problem is HDD not detected if detectedm not able to open the drive, light is keep on blinking...tried 2 weeks with different attempts..nothing worked..chkdsk /f G: not worked at all....In disk management, its not showing my HDD. Tried Regedit this also not worked. .. ....Finally i installed this software for my 500 GB Seagate HDD. It taken 14 hrs .8 Bad sectors found and resolved the issues...Now its working fine...thank you very much for Full version software
Dude, u have tried fixing a drive with no bad sectors.
I would suggest you to show a tutorial where u have actually repaired a drive with bad sectors present and after applying the fix using this software, the drive shows no errors in any sector on testing with any software, preferably testing by Hard Disk Sentinel freeware tool.
share the link, where u have repaired a faulty drive. If that takes long, u can always speed up the video.

1. Open CMD as admin.
2. Type in *chkdsk*
3. If it finds errors, type in *chkdsk /scan*
4. If it finds errors, type in *chkdsk /spotfix*
If it says to reboot press “Y” and hit enter

CrystalDiskInfo show bad reallocated sector count , scan with HDD regenerator show no bad sector . wtf ?

I know that tool and have used it quite a few times to check if there were bad sectors on hard drives. I never ever use the "scan and repair" option. That can fuck up your data real good. Just scan for bad sectors and if there are any, just ghost to another drive and you will get an exact copy minus the bad sectors...
Hiren's boot cd 10.6 has both tools... HDD regenerator and Norton ghost. Even if it takes alot of time, a "disk to disk" ghost will often work and it won't even be necessary to reinstall anything + it's a safe process as it creates a backup, while HDD regenerator "fixes" the drive of which you have no copy. If it has bad sectors, it means it's time for a new HDD. You can only do so much with a plaster to stop an open wound from bleeding
I've been using HDD Regenerator for a very long time, since about 2012. IF! the drive spins up fine and doesn't "click" which means that the heads can't/don't move onto the platters because either obstruction or failure to reach sufficient platter speed than you have a chance with this software.
I've tested on HDD's that had bad sectors that i tested to corrupt 7-zip archives, that both recovered the sector to be useable and the data on the sector to be recover fixing the corrupted data. Although i wouldn't fully trust it. The way I understood it worked is very much like degaussing an old TV.
With that said, there's many other issues than just bad sectors that will seems like it's just bad sectors on the platter that are really just symptoms of other mechanical/electronic issues be it the controller board or damaged heads etc. A tell that it's not just bad sectors is consistent reads(fails) of the same bad sectors without random bad sectors popping up.

thanks for the software dude. i have put up my 160 gb hdd for regenration, but its just showing processing. there is no progress bar or percentage completion message. how are we supposed to know as to when will the regeneration get completed.

After repairing that Drive with that Program ...what would happen if I format the Hard Drive Again... the damage sectors will appear again? Because the HDD regerator usually save a file in the drive with some info with the bad sectors / repaired sectors when the HDD had checked it.

my HDD have 3344 bad sectors. Defragmentation task is running at 80%. But till now not showing any bad sectors

well, test took 8 hours and results were 9/975000000 sectors were bad. this program said they have been restored, well they were not, my HDD still makes click noise (1x) when trying to boot windows (it looks like system.dll file is corrupted). WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!
if its making a ticking noise that means one of the heads are bad and will damage your drive even more. seek a Hdd repair company or dont depends on if you need whats on the drive.
Its a hardware problem. Not a software problem.
You can't fix a failing hard drive with software EVER. When you heard those scratching metal on metal noises, should have realized it was not going to be fixed running a program!
stop complaining.. it was a free full software. it worked for me and most of the people here that have used it..
the noise means it's physical, you are kind of dumb for expecting this software to "repair" your physical parts

Only works if the bad sector ain't actually damaged but returns false data, necessitating rewriting it with zeros. Actual damage can't be repaired. This tool is likely pure ripoff.

how to use it because my one hdd is really working. the other one WHEN i attached will not boot up until in windows desktop. it only keeps on running at "STARTING WINDOWS".

hardisk 1 is good (windows 7 is installed).
hardisk 2 is the one that i wanted to check the bad sector
BUT, when i attached both of the hardisk. it will not boot up til in windows desktop but it's only in STARTING WINDOWS.
