HDD Regen, is only good to make the drive readable enough time to clone it to another drive. I used it before because i already recommend to get a new drive or partition out the bad sectors and only use the part that does not have bad sectors for use
Thanks for the info. Sharing some stats of my current scan through the HDD Regenerator for fellow tech geeks: Size: 465 GB Time Left : 375 hours 50 minutes Out of 49 Mb scan found 49 bad sectors and recovered. Seems impossible to fix this HDD.😭
It’s an estimated time. In reality it’s not going to take that long. Highest 48-72hours if there is a lot of bad sectors. 1bad sector in 1mb is nothing. I have a HDD which had 60-70bad sectors in 1mb. But still working as my backup drive. You have to skip the bad sector part to prevent the bad sector causing slow down to your HDD. And you can use your HDD for some more years. I will show in a later video how to do that. Make sure you subscribe to get notified………..Dipu
I tried to use this HDD Regenerator 2011software. After my computer read the hard drive the system display this software is demo version. to complete the process, take advantage of full version. That mean I have to pay for it $59.99. I don't know will it work it work or not

If your drive makes clicking noise, then you have some problem with your laser arm. It's trying hard to locate your data through all the sectors. Its will die very soon. Sorry. I have 4 HDD of my own, died this way. Going to fix them soon. Make sure you subscribe to see the FIX video.

you can scan with this software. to see if you have any bad sectors on ur hdd. then repair accordingly. if you don't , hdd health might get worse in the future

@@khalidabdalla6341 Cyclic redundancy check (CRC) is a method of checking data for errors on both the hard disk and optical disks. But I don't think that's gonna be a problem. I suggest you to connect you HDD with a SATA cable to your PC then complete the whole method that I have done here. 95% it will work. Then break the partition, if you have some important files move them. Then create a single disk drive. I hope it will work..........If it doesn't knock me.
Sir, i have a 1tb hdd.. last month I'm having trouble with my laptop that keeps hanging, when it hangs i shutdown my laptop through power button(not good) always and as a result my hdd became bad i think... When i boot up there is no bootable device. I change to a new 200gb hdd, when im repairing my hdd and did a surface test in easeus, bad sectors almost accumulated all the squares on the test, blue ones are only a fifties or so, but red ones went up to last square. Chkdsk also aborted i think due to those bad sectors.... My question is if I do this method and repaired my 1tb hdd, can i still install windows in it? Im only a student and cant afford a new hdd. My 200gb hdd wont be able to handle my applications as i am a progmming student and i also do editing.. Thank you sir, i hope you understand my question and concern.
Thank you for your query brother. I have been there, as a student I also struggled a lot. Unfortunately your HDD seems so messed up that it's basically unusable. If you want to use it further, I will suggest you to follow my instructions and get rid of as much bad sectors as you can. But even if you get rid of all of the bad sectors, the drive won't be fast enough to run Windows flawlessly. 1. You can use a light weight Linux Distro. Or. 2. Use your 200gb hdd as boot drive and bad sector hdd as portable hdd. You can also add a caddy if you don't want to get the hassle of carrying portable hdd.(Assuming you have a DVD drive in your laptop). Hopefully it will solve your problems ☺️ Brother.........Dipu

First scan the hdd with this video method. To see if it has any bad sector or not. Then use "Recover it" Software to recover your data. You can recover your data even after partitioning your hdd. Next thing you should connect the 2.5 inch HDD which is inside the Portable HDD Box with any other computer. To see if there is a problem with you external HDD Case. If it does not work at all, you should consult a Professional. It might be caused by the HDD main board. Hope it will work :)
Yes, the bad sector data is readable after completing the process. But bad sector will come back. So you should copy your important data quickly from the recovered HDD. And only use the recovered HDD as non important file storage (Like : movies, songs e.t.c)

I found a bad sectors in My 2T harddrive and i used Hdd Rgenerator to fix it , after a lot of hours it is done , the Hdd Rgenerator shows a screen full of wight squares and gray squares with a (R) bettwen them , but my hdd contains a larg ammount of gray squares . is this a problem , if it is how can i fix it ?
Congrats! you successfully done it. ("R" Green means Repaired/Recovered, "B" Means Bad Sector, "D" Means Delay, "N" Means New Bad Sector Found). My suggestion is, you format the drive using manufacturer specific Formatter tool.(Example:"If you have Sandisk drive, use sandisk formatter tool") Then use a data recovery software to recover your data. There is a 50/50 Chance whether your device actually recorded any data or not. if it did recovery is 80+% Possible without large video files. I'm assuming you probably threw that USB drive away by now, but if you do still have it or ever experience this in the future, check out TestDisk7 (may be TestDisk8 or a newer version now). It's free and used in forensic data recovery. It can sometimes restore corrupt or deleted partition table data to restore the drive's functionality alomg with the data that was on it before. It is a bit tricky to use and may require some reading, but only a few steps needed when running the program to initiate the boot sector recovery process.

Doesn't this work on Windows10? Because I installed USB and ran the bios but it did not see USB. I tried another USB and it didn't work either. Does this program not work on Windows10?
I can't chkdsk or format a pen drive.... it's unnalocated. Some error, probably filled it too much... coz it happened during file transfer. I wonder if there's anyway to fix it, mbr repair or anything, I'm clueless. All I know is I can't recover files and it's with bad sectors all around
There might be some physical damage on hard drive surface. When it goes to that point it becomes unresponsive. So you might need to sacrifice that portion of the hard drive. Make a partition excluding that portion and you are good to go.
Somewhat helpful, but when you recover your HDD. You should copy all the important files and should not use it extensively. In your case, I wouldn't recommend you keep using the HDD in your PS4. Because, Even if you can continue using it. IT will feel very laggy and die any time.

Bro first of all thanks for your solution👍 ! But when I run the test on repair and scan option after the test completed it shows 0 bad sectors found but after booting up the laptop I ran the crystal disk info test again it shows "CAUTION" & 1748 bad sectors so what should I do now please help !!
Don’t worry. Scan again with this method. See if you can find any bad sectors or not. If not no worries. There is always some reserved sectors in HDD for this kind of emergency. Your data might have been copied to fresh sectors. Again no worries

I ordered a 4TB drive, I put 2TB of data on it and only 56GB of data was usable while the rest either didn't exist or if it showed a video or something it was not openable. I format and tried putting 250GB of data instead and again most of it was not usable or corrupted. I got a program to scan it but after 30 mins it only scanned 1% of the disk and showed 706 bad sectors (which means everything it scanned was 'damaged'). does the fact that some 50GB is usable mean that out of 4TB only 50GB is working and the rest is damaged?

Hey, when i check my HDD with sentinel the health is 76% with 8 weak sectors and 8873 errors occurred. When i run hhd regenator, the health drops to 73% with 8 bad sectors and 12074 errors occurred. Is this optimal? Because the effect of bad sectors is now gone and the health is drop on HDD sentinel. Please help
Why? I use my hard Drive a few days after doing HDD regenator all find and no problem. Even i already use another software like Victoria, but theres no bad sector was found. Even i didn't get any freeze after using HDD regenator. I didn't get any corrupt file after doing this. At least i still can do my work on this hard Drive until i change my mind to replace this hard Drive to ssd

Hey.. Dipu.. thanks for the video. But I was more interested not in the diagnostics section as much as what you did to extract the internal HDD from your 💻 and connect it to your 🖥️. BECAUSE THAT IS a risky and critical thing To do. In short, I am faxing a vey critical problem with a similar outcome where my HDD has worn out and the laptop is not bootable. So I had to replace the previous HDD with a brand new. Hence I am stuck with a HDD with bad sectors or possible (m confident that it's not) physical errors. I am guessing you can tell me how. Thanks.

Hello sir last time I was using my hdd has a several bad sectors and I was using hard disk sentinel to fix or repair the bad sectors. The scan was takin a lot of time and it was fixing but my bad luck, the electricity went off I leave the laptop doing the scan and it goes low battery amd shutdown. After I tried to recharge when I get back the electricity my laptop won't boot just when the windows screen is loading the screen quickly turns into black amd a about a moment it restarts it's own. I can't go any troubleshooting screen but the bios, boot menu, setup menu and etc that are limited are working. I bought another hdd and replaced that one and I'm using the new one, I was thinking about to fix it as to use it portable external hdd I followed all the steps you told us but unfortunately my computer won't boot even I used 2 different usb flashes/ pendrives. I recorded a video to review if it's fixable and use it again or any advice about it. Now the first problem that i think is causing is that my hard drive was unscrewed when I opened the back cover of my laptop because it was refurbished and I think it's damaged by physically specially the Circuit board and it may be the problem is it because my hdd is not detected totally but I feel when I insert in my computer. It might be fixable by going to a professional to change the logic board and copying old bios cheap from the logic board or replacing it. It very costly, You have to find a donor HDD with the same version and model no. It's only makes sense if you have a lot of mission critical data on the HDD............. Or you can let him go, he is no more.

@@deljohnhernandez2961 I meant, it's possible to recover data after removing bad sectors. But in your case, you already formatted or tried to format the drive before fixing up the bad sector. That's why I told you, "HDD regenerator does not erase any data you have in your HDD. But if you formatted, means you deleted all data of your HDD. Then the HDD firmware might think that all the data was not important, it might wipe and renew all sectors while HDD regenerator does it's job. So you see! It's a little complicated. I suggest you go ahead and do full hdd regeneration, then try to recover the data. But there will be 30-40% risk of data loss................Hope you understand my friend.............DIPU

I have used AOMEI partition software also to format the disk but once formatting completes to 100% it says giving an error that format is unable to complete. I just want if you can do something by taking access from laptop and check is there any solution to save my hardisk. Thanks
@@hsharsimranpalsingh try changing it into GPT then Format again. It might remove the error you are getting here. Then after format is done successfully, you can switch back to MBR
@@TechClapEng actually my hdd had alot of bad sectors in it and i did tried removing them with hdd regenerator soft but this software says attach hardisk internally on motherboard and i dont have the provision of attaching sata cable on my hdd. Bro, what is the case for solving it when the HDD is a passport type with a USB connection? I have a 2tb passport hdd it's badly damaged in the sector. I checked using EaseUs for almost 5 hours and during that time it only detected 0.76% of almost all bad sectors. Do you have a solution? Correction : I'm using hdd regenerator 2011 it doesn't detect usb connection hdd suggested internal connection
Your HDD health is very low. There might be other problems including bad sectors in your HDD and almost no hope for it's survival. But you can try this process to clean the bad sectors and hope for the best..............DIPU

But this does try to regenrate data and rewrite the sector which is fixing the sector

This software works. U can try torrent sites to download full version, but not recommended. The guy worked very hard to make this software.

Thank you for your query brother. I have been there, as a student I also struggled a lot. Unfortunately your HDD seems so messed up that it's basically unusable. If you want to use it further, I will suggest you to follow my instructions and get rid of as much bad sectors as you can. But even if you get rid of all of the bad sectors, the drive won't be fast enough to run Windows flawlessly.
1. You can use a light weight Linux Distro.
Or.
2. Use your 200gb hdd as boot drive and bad sector hdd as portable hdd. You can also add a caddy if you don't want to get the hassle of carrying portable hdd.(Assuming you have a DVD drive in your laptop).

Next thing you should connect the 2.5 inch HDD which is inside the Portable HDD Box with any other computer. To see if there is a problem with you external HDD Case. If it does not work at all, you should consult a Professional. It might be caused by the HDD main board. Hope it will work :)

Yes, the bad sector data is readable after completing the process. But bad sector will come back. So you should copy your important data quickly from the recovered HDD. And only use the recovered HDD as non important file storage (Like : movies, songs e.t.c)

My suggestion is, you format the drive using manufacturer specific Formatter tool.(Example:"If you have Sandisk drive, use sandisk formatter tool") Then use a data recovery software to recover your data. There is a 50/50 Chance whether your device actually recorded any data or not. if it did recovery is 80+% Possible without large video files. But if it was writing and wiping data at the same time because of some drive overwriting issue then we don't have any hope of recovery. I hope you understand..........Best Wishes............DIPU
try "recoverit"(paid version), to recover your data after formatting the drive. It might work better than some other softwares.
I'm assuming you probably threw that USB drive away by now, but if you do still have it or ever experience this in the future, check out TestDisk7 (may be TestDisk8 or a newer version now). It's free and used in forensic data recovery. It can sometimes restore corrupt or deleted partition table data to restore the drive's functionality alomg with the data that was on it before.
It is a bit tricky to use and may require some reading, but only a few steps needed when running the program to initiate the boot sector recovery process.

There might be some physical damage on hard drive surface. When it goes to that point it becomes unresponsive. So you might need to sacrifice that portion of the hard drive. Make a partition excluding that portion and you are good to go.

Don’t worry. Scan again with this method. See if you can find any bad sectors or not. If not no worries. There is always some reserved sectors in HDD for this kind of emergency. Your data might have been copied to fresh sectors. Again no worries

I ordered a 4TB drive, I put 2TB of data on it and only 56GB of data was usable while the rest either didn't exist or if it showed a video or something it was not openable. I format and tried putting 250GB of data instead and again most of it was not usable or corrupted. I got a program to scan it but after 30 mins it only scanned 1% of the disk and showed 706 bad sectors (which means everything it scanned was 'damaged'). does the fact that some 50GB is usable mean that out of 4TB only 50GB is working and the rest is damaged?

Hey, when i check my HDD with sentinel the health is 76% with 8 weak sectors and 8873 errors occurred. When i run hhd regenator, the health drops to 73% with 8 bad sectors and 12074 errors occurred. Is this optimal? Because the effect of bad sectors is now gone and the health is drop on HDD sentinel. Please help

Why? I use my hard Drive a few days after doing HDD regenator all find and no problem. Even i already use another software like Victoria, but theres no bad sector was found. Even i didn't get any freeze after using HDD regenator. I didn't get any corrupt file after doing this. At least i still can do my work on this hard Drive until i change my mind to replace this hard Drive to ssd

In short, I am faxing a vey critical problem with a similar outcome where my HDD has worn out and the laptop is not bootable. So I had to replace the previous HDD with a brand new. Hence I am stuck with a HDD with bad sectors or possible (m confident that it's not) physical errors.

Hello sir last time I was using my hdd has a several bad sectors and I was using hard disk sentinel to fix or repair the bad sectors. The scan was takin a lot of time and it was fixing but my bad luck, the electricity went off I leave the laptop doing the scan and it goes low battery amd shutdown.
After I tried to recharge when I get back the electricity my laptop won't boot just when the windows screen is loading the screen quickly turns into black amd a about a moment it restarts it's own.
I can't go any troubleshooting screen but the bios, boot menu, setup menu and etc that are limited are working.
I bought another hdd and replaced that one and I'm using the new one, I was thinking about to fix it as to use it portable external hdd I followed all the steps you told us but unfortunately my computer won't boot even I used 2 different usb flashes/ pendrives. I recorded a video to review if it's fixable and use it again or any advice about it.
Now the first problem that i think is causing is that my hard drive was unscrewed when I opened the back cover of my laptop because it was refurbished and I think it's damaged by physically specially the Circuit board and it may be the problem is it because my hdd is not detected totally but I feel when I insert in my computer.

You Instaled HDD Regenated tool 2011, But You Running Vertion is 1.71 Why?

It might be fixable by going to a professional to change the logic board and copying old bios cheap from the logic board or replacing it. It very costly, You have to find a donor HDD with the same version and model no. It's only makes sense if you have a lot of mission critical data on the HDD............. Or you can let him go, he is no more.

That's why I told you, "HDD regenerator does not erase any data you have in your HDD. But if you formatted, means you deleted all data of your HDD. Then the HDD firmware might think that all the data was not important, it might wipe and renew all sectors while HDD regenerator does it's job. So you see! It's a little complicated. I suggest you go ahead and do full hdd regeneration, then try to recover the data. But there will be 30-40% risk of data loss................Hope you understand my friend.............DIPU

Correction : I'm using hdd regenerator 2011 it doesn't detect usb connection hdd suggested internal connection
HDD Regenerator is a very old program. Sadly, there is no better alternative to this with your desired option.......................
