      although he did suffer from alcoholism, it was not the reason he lost his voice for a bit. it’s actually because of stress he was putting on vocal chords in the group’s early days

    I directed this video for Profile Records, like I did 15 others for Profile and more than a dozen more for other labels back then. That's me at 2:38 with the Triple F.A.T. down coat and the long hair. We shot this whole video in one night, starting with the exploding car at the Brooklyn Naval Yard. That was more than half my life ago. Life is very short.

      I was ok like 7 but I don't know how I missed it. Probably cause I was young. Raising Hell was my jam as a kid. Just like the 2nd Beastie's album underrated and ahead of its time.
      This album I mean didn't hear much about it. People where still processing what just happened when them among others changed the face of music.

    Back From Hell was the first album not to receive any RIAA certification neither Gold or Platinum. The Ave. was a bad-ass song and DMC kicking with gangsta-rap mode. Back From Hell went nowhere but down.

    Run, D, and Jay was going through some shit back around the time the made the songs for the 𝘽𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙡 (1990) album and they still tried (and succeeded) to put out quality music. I would take the 𝘽𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙡 album over any of these rap or pop rap albums today.
