The first five minutes alone has me in tears. Copeland the genius.

In my humble opinion the best rendition of this genius piece of music.

I first heard this performed at Snape Maltings when I was about 13. I lived in Orford so I took it for granted that every other village had world class orchestras performing each year. As soon as that first chord was sounded I felt like I was at home. I'm 45 and it still brings a tear to my eye.

Just drove the quiet backroads of West Virginia and Virginia listening to this piece. Or should I say "This Peace"? Its amazing how Copland reflects the essence of that earth, those people.

Wonderful performance. I'm always flattered to see American composers being performed elsewhere. It's neat that we have our own sounds and additions to the classical arts being such a new country. It shows that while the sound may be distinctly American, music is a world language, much like Russian composers bringing me to tears. I can't help but think somebody abroad seeing an American orchestra play music from their home is also flattering.

I have heard this piece from many orchestras, New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Detroit Symphony, but for me this is the best version I have ever heard. As an American I am very particular about Copland. Good Job.

I am always amazed at how Aaron Copland has been able to so beautifully create a portrait of the American landscape. This is a first-class performance of that beauty.

OH MY WOW!!!! Great pick for a piece of music to play and record. I first heard this piece 16 years ago in band class in high school, our teacher used to use it as a calming influence on us kids before we had a big contest or parade to participate in, and I have loved it ever since. Thank you to the wonderful conductor and musicians for putting this out to share with the world, you did an excellent job on it.

Beautiful performance. I have seen this piece performed in San Francisco and San Diego, but this is better. They have such a wonderfully sculptured sound. More heart, a warmer tone, and less theatrics. The performance is remarkably restrained and poised, as this piece, all too often, lends itself to bravado and excess. Which for me, ruins the delicacy of the piece. Look at the focus on the players faces - these are wonderful musicians. This is the best performance of this piece on the web. Kudos!.

I love it, and also... what are the cellos doing in the middle.... they're suppose to be on the right side, not the 2nd violins....

This string placement seems to be coming into vogue. I've seen it with several orchestras in the last ten years or so.

Despite some minor glitches in the orchestra, Kim elicits a great performance this American Classic of the twentieth Century.
