Not the Madone and I don't want hookless wheels, so I actually have to pick the sl8, if money isn't a problem. Top tier Foil frame with the light wheels and groupset that I want would probably be the winner...
SL8. I like the Scott and it’s a better deal but it’s essentially vaporware. Even you won’t see another one for a few months and even after that they will just trickle in and not be readily available.
Damn 6.52, that's with that handlebar tool too.. that's right in your face - Aethos and O2 VAM!!! I have to add two metal iron water bottle cages just to make it UCI legal.
It's without pedals and PM though, that'll put it up to 6.8kg on their own. Over that with cages and computer mount. Still heavy compared to a decent rim brake bike from 10 years ago.
I saw this one and the one 1 tier lower (ultegra spec) with the top tier paint job, they look good. Still find it funny that it has a lower stack an longer reach than the Foil, while they market it as more endurance style. I guess it's direct competition is the Cube litening Air.
@Carlifurafollas you are right, but with the similar name many people miss that detail. Imo Cube nailed the modern endurance bike with their agree, it's a middle ground between their climbing and their aero bike (more aero than the climbing one while lighter than the aero one) with a slightly more relaxed geometry, they call it an aero endurance bike. Still looks good and makes endurance bikes a bit more sexy. The Sram force one for around 4k weights 7.5kg, upgrade the crankset to sram red + some tpus and you're down to 7.2kg for around 4.5-4.6k.
Last Gen Madone, but if I had to pick a non aero format this Addict is nice, props for stretching it out a bit, a good compromise for the lack of aero profile tubing.
Hi GC PERFORMANCE Very cool super bike 🚴♂️ could be even lighter with a wheel set change 👍 🚴♂️ great video content as always 👍 Scott bikes now have a new Fan 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I want to buy a T25 bar end tool for my Canyon Aeroad... I don't like to leave the thru-axle lever with the T25 in there because AEROOOO, so it sits in my saddle bag. We need to do a better job of utilizing bar end space for tools
38-40c tire clearance, standard 27.2 seatpost, threaded BB and lightweight. What would you chose other than Crux? I have separate lists for full gravel bikes.
Im glad i waited. This bike comes in value wise at the top of the charts. Ill be buying this for sure. 13LB bike with Dura Ace Di2 and can handle uphill and downhill rides....im all in
This bike looks a little old fashioned. I hope they make some fancy finishes for it because otherwise this is the perfect bike for many of my light weight female friends. The types that weigh 50-55kg. They are rarely putting out over 200W and honestly are never going above 35km/h outside the draft, so having such a light bike really makes sense. They don’t particularly prioritize aero.
Nice. I’m hoping to get one soon as I had a fall on my 2022 version last week and the frame is damaged. As well as my collarbone. Hoping this new one has slightly better aero qualities combined with the climbing capabilities it always had.
I wish they offered the Addict RC with more than the one range topping SRAM RED. What about Rival or Force and a cheaper Red offering like the stunning Dura-Ace. They have done a great job.
Ah, the wheels are 40mm (so not 45mm as you said) and hookless only (25mm internal is nice though)... Also pretty heavy for 40mm. Hard pass for me, might as well buy the lower tier and just sell whatever wheels come with it :)
Shimano dominates the 2025 Addict RC models, only the RC Ultimate is available with Sram Red, all other Addict RC 2025 bike models are only available with a Shimano groupset. But why???
(Canada here) I wanted the previous Addict RC frame and just like before, these guys are hindered by supply chain issues Coupled by the ridiculous price of the frame alone But 9Gs for a full DA with the 1 piece stem and a decent wheelset ain't too bad I gotta say. That's about 13K CAD if we follow today's exchange. Eye watering but reasonable compared to Spesh/Trek
Uh, Canyon is a name brand 🤣. But I agree. Even though I own 2 Canyons, I would still take this over a Canyon. I also own an Sworks because the Canyon Aeroad just didn't do everything I needed it to.
9k; only thing missing is an engine. Trek has a Madone / Domane with an engine for 10k. If you're going to buy a bicycle that's almost as expensive as a ninja; want an engine.
@Stealthwealth1001 then go get a motorcycle??? Idk why you're looking at high end bikes just to complain. To be clear, I agree the prices are high, but I'm here to see the bleeding edge of bicycles. Not really looking for value here.
i really like the look of this bike. but the geometry on those things is horrible. if you want to get the amateurs on your non aero bike maybe dont make it 2cm lower than the sl8 for the same reach. or 2cm longer for the same stack. looks gorgeous but geo is epic fail.
Ditto. Really love the frame shape and clever design features of this bike (seat clamp, single tool stored in bar, swap-out-able seatpost so you could use the more complaint post on epic rides for example), but the reach is just bemusing, especially for an endurance/climbing bike? Scott - why not just let people slap on a longer-stemmed bar???
Scott addict RC, tarmac sl8, trek Madone.
Which one you taking?
Aeroad lol
Not the Madone and I don't want hookless wheels, so I actually have to pick the sl8, if money isn't a problem.
Top tier Foil frame with the light wheels and groupset that I want would probably be the winner...
Scott for sure.
Factor
SL8. I like the Scott and it’s a better deal but it’s essentially vaporware. Even you won’t see another one for a few months and even after that they will just trickle in and not be readily available.
What took you so long? I've been waiting for this for a hot minute haha
Damn, glad to see these bikes finally appearing here in the US!!
This one was sold lol
They really did an amazing overall job with this update! Great vid.
Thanks man!
I had a look at their geometry chart and almost spilled my coffee. The reach and stack figures are crazy aggressive!
yea I do not know why it changed so much it for sure got more aggressive
Great video as always 7:28 😂
Glad you enjoyed
The computer mount will not be included. You have to order separately.
Damn 6.52, that's with that handlebar tool too.. that's right in your face - Aethos and O2 VAM!!! I have to add two metal iron water bottle cages just to make it UCI legal.

Mind that there’s an Addict as well, the non RC version is way more endurance oriented.
@Carlifurafollas you are right, but with the similar name many people miss that detail. So Cool!
Hi GC PERFORMANCE
Very cool super bike 🚴♂️ could be even lighter with a wheel set change 👍 🚴♂️ great video content as always 👍 Scott bikes now have a new Fan 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Yes! Getting a FarSports or an Elilee wheelset would make it so much lighter!!!!
Perfect bike to conquer those Florida KOMs 😊
6:17 I think that garmin maunt is like 100€ exstra.
perfect thank you
It's nice, but 9k? No power meter and not even a computer mount included?
I want to buy a T25 bar end tool for my Canyon Aeroad... I don't like to leave the thru-axle lever with the T25 in there because AEROOOO, so it sits in my saddle bag. We need to do a better job of utilizing bar end space for tools
I’d buy just about anything before Canyon gets my cash. I want a TIME!
GC Performance: "Scott addict RC, Tarmac SL8, Trek Madone. Which one you taking?"
Florida's famous bike thief . . . in the store: "👀"
Hahahhaha
It's not the lightest version of it. And scott said that you would have buy the computermount yourself 😅
danggg
38-40c tire clearance, standard 27.2 seatpost, threaded BB and lightweight. What would you chose other than Crux? I have separate lists for full gravel bikes.
Revolt
RC Ultimate is still 15k..what's the difference?
Even lighter frame
carbon spoke wheels
lighter carbon layup and also there 4800 1 peice carbon wheels
Where are the SCHWALBE AEROTHAN TIRES ? they should be a lightweight combo with this exact bike
yea I do not know, I think they are still waiting to release
Seems like a Tarmac with Scott decals.
No the Scott is more of a race bike than the SL8
A person could use the same money fly to nearest country that sell Cube and fly back with the new bike and still have a decent amount of money left...
NGL, for 2025 it looks a bit underwhelming. Based on aesthetics alone, I'll go with aero bikes that weighs 500g more.
Im glad i waited.
This bike comes in value wise at the top of the charts.
Ill be buying this for sure. 13LB bike with Dura Ace Di2 and can handle uphill and downhill rides....im all in
You have 10k extra to spare for this?
@slighter believe it or not, these are selling more often than the 4k bike. So i bet he does.
When do you think a new scott foil design will be released? Somewhere end 2025/start 2026?
Scott seems to release every 4-5 years. Last one was I think mid 2022, so probably no sooner than mid 2026. Just a guess.
People ask if Scott is going out of business?
I thought the 3D printed Garmin mount does not come with the bike, and you have to spend extra $109…?
Just attach to stem with rubber bands. Way cheaper and works fine.
This bike looks a little old fashioned. I hope they make some fancy finishes for it because otherwise this is the perfect bike for many of my light weight female friends. Do they sell this as a frameset?
Depends where you live, but yes. The normal one is 3500isj (sub 1kg frame and fork) en the Ultra light one is 4.5kish (70grams lighter)
Looks amazing
Well done Scott
OG-Evkin, Seka Spear and X-Lab have very competitive price points....$9k isn't.
Cutting weight in the seat clamp is not smart. Thats the last part that needs to have weight trimmed.
if it works why not
@@laurenz323it works, til it fails.
@bikes7777 ah ok. But therefore it needs to break first
@laurenz323 wankah
Really should have made it UDH compatible aswell
Nice. I’m hoping to get one soon as I had a fall on my 2022 version last week and the frame is damaged. As well as my collarbone. Hoping this new one has slightly better aero qualities combined with the climbing capabilities it always had.

@@diehardbikes Thanks man! appreciate it.
Not 14lbs 6 oz. Scale is lbs so .06 times 16oz per pound is about 1 ounce not 6 oz.
I wish they offered the Addict RC with more than the one range topping SRAM RED. What about Rival or Force and a cheaper Red offering like the stunning Dura-Ace. They have done a great job.
Because new Froce and Rival will be announced very soon, so they don't want to offer them with outgoing groupsets, and are rather waiting
I would like Ultegra tbh.
Geo not for your average rider. What a shame
I find it super bland and soulless… does nothing for me.
Only $9,000? I've put an order for a half dozen in assorted colours....built for only those that have the money to waste.
They transferred their RC shoe design to the bike.
Let me guess, It's alot of money!!!
This thing had a lot of hype, of course Scott can put up whatever number and they would still sell enough.
Beautiful bike. Very long reach, though…
Yasssssss super Nice ❤
6.5 KG for a Large 😮
The Canyon is a significantly faster bike
Good looking bike but i prefer my Scott Foil pro except , the weight it's crazy 😮
Scott needs to make a 44cm bike. Short people cant buy their bikes. I want a scott foil but the stand over height is to tall
This bike is so clean. Will be the next purchase for SURE.
That’s awesome to hear!
What a beautiful bike
27,2 mm steerer 😂
Hot take: non-UDH bikes will be obsolete in two years.
I have a feeling companies wil makie trhere next gen rear der road with udh like there mechs will come with hangers attached
Scott and Giant are coming back. I feel the missed out on the market for years.
Ah, the wheels are 40mm (so not 45mm as you said) and hookless only (25mm internal is nice though)... Also pretty heavy for 40mm. Hard pass for me, might as well buy the lower tier and just sell whatever wheels come with it :)
Not bad but I'll keep my Felt FRD Ultimate at 16 lbs out of box for $4k.
Nice,I used to have a Felt F5C.💯✌🏻
Shimano dominates the 2025 Addict RC models, only the RC Ultimate is available with Sram Red, all other Addict RC 2025 bike models are only available with a Shimano groupset. But why???
Scott has always done more with Shimano.
Because new SRAM Force and Rival AXS will be announced in ±2 months, then other Addict SRAM configurations will be revealed.
@@vlado29 true as well
@@vlado29 When is new Dura Ace arriving?
@@vlado29 It's possible for Rival AXS, but I don't believe it for Force AXS because it was updated at the end of 2023.

Know of anyone bringing the frameset only in? Would love to build this up as I already have DA 9200 I could swap over.
@ any authorized dealer can do that for you
Pretty awesome if you're looking for the illegal weight bike
The majority of people aren't racing, they're trying to take KOMs.....For this, I'd choose the Scott Foil,,,,
Scott foil rc hmx 2018 👌
Nowadays when you can buy an SL8 from £4000(5000$) it doesn't make sense to buy any other road bike if we talking about pure performance
yea I mean those are grewat options but some people do not want to ride a specializxed
Uh, Canyon is a name brand 🤣. But I agree. Even though I own 2 Canyons, I would still take this over a Canyon. I also own an Sworks because the Canyon Aeroad just didn't do everything I needed it to.
New Scott Addict or Spesh/SW Aethos?
Wheels are crap and no pm…
This bike with new RED groupset and black stealth frame paintjob , would look stunning.
Not gonna pay that much for it. There's ZERO new innovation. Its laughable because my TCR from 2013 is almost exactly the same design.
Hookless is here to stay because the marketing departments keep selling wider tires are faster
....which is BS.
surprised they didn’t put the newer belcarra “neo” saddle on this one. same retail price and 40g lighter.
“Much more lighter” just say lighter
sl8 look special/ expensive, this does not kinda meh!
Hi 👋 very cool bike🥶
What’s height of saddle?
the customer has not marked it yet we stil have to fit them
Kept the crappy PF86 BB.
Scott same as Giant hookless wheels avoid unless you are buying frameset only
If you’re a 50kg woman, you can ride hookless without a worry.
Looks awesome and is really superlight for a large, should be called a RC SL for superlight.💯✌🏻👌🏻🚴♂️
9k; only thing missing is an engine. Trek has a Madone / Domane with an engine for 10k. If you're going to buy a bicycle that's almost as expensive as a ninja; want an engine.

Hate the logo style on these new models….
I like it, it is a little more modern and more 2025
