This Tele comes with great potential. It doesn't cost a lot, but it looks absolutely brilliant. It has some upgrades over your regular Telecaster shape, such as contours for comfort. Very nice. But still, is it as good as it seems? Let's find out.
Enjoy!

I thought you said it was a book matched mahogany body? When you showed the back of the guitar at 3-20 it looks like the grain is going horizontally on one side, and vertically on the other. My apologies if I misheard you, or got this wrong. ✌️🇦🇺
@@castleanthrax1833 Agreed, the back of the body almost looks like Mahogany and some kind of figured Maple!
Great Review, thank You Elmo
My biggest complaint with cheap kit guitars and sub $400 guitars are the fret installations, poor fret installation really limits the guitar's ultimate potential.
Such a shame with these Eart guitars, those SS Fret ends are gorgeous looking.
That thing sounds very good to me and for the price you can't beat it
I bought this model in the blue finish over a year ago. Absolutely no problems, everything top notch. Plays like a dream. I am not wild about the non vintage sounding pickups, but they are not bad either just not that usual Tele sound.
I picked up one of the straps from that company it has zero problems and nothing is a joy to play. The frets alone make it worthwhile on the neck. That is a beautiful tea style guitar that I would just change the pots see if that takes care of the squeal first and reward the front myself as I do do that. Great review as always. For the price though they’re hard to beat especially for somebody that knows how to change some of the electronics
Thanks man. I appreciate your reviews. They're honest
I just purchased the same guitar. It is perfect. No flaws whatsoever.
Wow, looking this guitar for days recently, and now you made a video, great as always...
For those who do not like the pickups Guitar Fetish has bunches of Tele pickups reasonably priced.
Have the same Wine colored EART Tele, love it!
It seems like a great guitar to mod. not very expensive and then make it what you want it to be with a great fret job to boot.
Thats what I love about you Elmo , you dont put down others , where as i had a bad experience yesterday , a well known British RUclips called Levi Clay , he uploaded a video of a musician called Frank gambale , I did not like the mans style of music but Levi replied to me and everyone who disagreed with his point of view to stop embarrassing ourselves ? I was like dude we pay your wages without us you would be doing a 9to5 job , anyway he didn't take kindly to that and proceeded to berate me and others , so sad as music is subjective its not a competition , anyway thank you Elmo for being humble to your subscribers you are how real musicians should act to their fans , also happy Xmas hope you and your family have a fantastic time xxx
Thanks Christine! Have a good festive season and a great 2023! :)
@@MrPolevaulter You too my friend thank you xxx
Damn bro... Love your playing. Been looking at these
Just what I want (but without fret mess) in lefty. Thanks! (They need cooler logo, more rounded/retro for this model)
Cheers!
Elmo I can't rely on your reviews because your playing is impeccable so almost any guitar is good. 😁
This is not the sort of guitar I would buy new but.....if I saw a cheap secondhand one I would be tempted and would upgrade the electronics. I would say 60-70% of guitars I have bought have had at least one high fret and some as many as 8 and these are not all affordable guitars. I lucky I'm retired and have time to do my own luthiering and actually enjoy doing it although I know not everyone has the time or inclination to do so. But man those fret ends are a thing of beauty. Keep up the good work Elmo.
Depending where you live it's cheaper than $300...
Cheers!
sounds kinda like the Cort brand, makes excellent bang for buck guitars as well, like the Cort g300
I have a great experience with their customer service. Contact them, I think they will refund the repairs or just give you a new one (don’t even need to return the original one).
Great thanks you 😊
Thanks!
Love this guitar, just make it a honey colour body or even better a solid cream colour with mint or cream pick guard. If it needs tje fret fixed its not woth buying, may as well get a used fender. Thanks for sharing Elmo!
Cheers!
no way a used fender - anything less than custom shop - is as good as these. I have a flawless one and will never play a retail line Fender again
@@gregperkins7723 that's good for you that you received a flawless one, but saying only custom shop guitars are as good as any Eart is just plain foolish. At least keep it realistic and you choosing Eart over a fender doesnt change the fact that fender is a leader in guitars and I doubt Eart will ever be a threat or even a competitor to fender. And I like Eart guitars. Enjoy what you have and whatever inspires the most to keep playing.
Just received an orange one 2 days ago, no issue at all except the pickups that are muddy. But besides that, she's really amazing, I can't stop playing it. My American Deluxe looks like a cheap toy, besides. Really... I'm seriously considering selling my other guitars (I'm not a pro, just a "forever advanced beginner" 😃)
How can it be 'amazing' when the key component (the pickups) sound muddy?
@oldsilverdrew2471 that's a really easy and cheap fix.... especially on a telecaster. You will solder 4 wires all together. I upgraded mine with Tonerider Blues pickups and it cost me $80. The neck is so unbelievably comfortable on this guitar that it's worth upgrading the electronics.
@@oldsilverdrew2471 Body and neck extremely comfortable !
@@JordanAlbert-fu9jz I have Toneriders City Limits on a Strat and I love them. Putting Toneriders is an excellent idea, I'll try. Thanks!
Stainless frets are not easy to "level". I traded one of my budget guitars and got an Eart strat. Fortunately, everything is good on it, but I'd never pay 300+ for one!
Cool!
Hey, man. Great playing as always, are you planning to make a compilation of amps around 500-1000€ price tag?
I simply dont trust anyone else tbh, everything sounds good everywhere....and then you get the amp review and it sounds exactly like the price it says (boss katana being one of them), at least when it comes to cheap amps youve been reviewing for a long time.
Thanks! No plans for such a video, but I do have one in the making that's focused on cheaper amps.
That's the trade-off with budget guitars always some quality, unless you do the set-up yourself it will require an intensive setup add that to the price , I would throw in the Wilkinson Tele Pickups and Bridge or even Tone Rider Tele pickups, not feeling it with these pickups, I'm looking at the Vintage V59 the brand I love and trust, I know you had issues before but their Tele's are brilliant as always great and honest review Elmo cheers,
Cheers!
great review ,very enjoyable to watch , don't really like tele's , there's something about that dry high pitch that I don't enjoy but that being said ,that guitar look pretty good , stainless steel frets are fun having experienced one from another budget comp. and is a good sell point .If the neck isn't in need of adjustments , I guess that after changing for some better quality pods , it can still be a nice budget guitar , if everything holds in the long run. Great playing I may add.
Thank you :)
Con pochi upgrade diventa un bel ferro da lavoro...
Stainless steel frets and they didn't put em right on level, also volume knob, maybe not inspected thoroughly in that price range , well that's a shame because it looks very nice 👍
Yes, one way to save money during the guitar "build" is to reduce the amount of "quality control". It's one less salary to worry about, but it sure sucks when you've bought one that's less than "adequate".
Amazing playing, dose this available in India...
Thanks! I don't know if it is.
Try ebay. That's where I've seen them. ✌️🇦🇺
The only dealbreaker for me is the hurreondous Logo design of Eart and the weird pickguard shape. Only thinlines should have that kind of pickguard imo
Killer playing dude! I've been meaning to ask you, what's your action height at the 12th fret on your guitars? They look very playable and have great tone. Thank you!
Thanks! I'm not entirely sure, but it varies on my guitars. I like it fairly high actually, but not sure exactly how high it is.
I had to do a fret level on my Eart Tele. I do it myself so it doesn't cost me anything except time but man does it play nice now. You can put the action as low as you want. The pickups in this tele model also suck especially the neck pickup. Even if you have to fix the frets these guitars are more than worth it..for some reason these are the best playing guitars I've ever played.
Yeah, after fixing the issues they sure are.
I've had crazy money guitars and my EART Tele (like this one) is the best I have ever played too. That neck.
@@gregperkins7723 I know right..My USA PRS and Charvel Pro Mod DK24 are literally collecting dust because I use my Eart's 90% of the time.
@@Stratisfied22 Their 335 is even better :)
@@gregperkins7723 Yeah I made my friend buy the 335 and he's blown away. I also have two Strats and a Les Paul with the Gibson headstock(It's a real LP but better) from Eart and they all play insanely well.
Thanks, great Video illustrating Real world experiences ! 👍
Did you try sending it back to Eart or Amazon to get a feel for their Customer Service, in resolving the Issues with this Guitar ? 🤔
I know Amazon would have taken care of you ! But, I'm curious how Eart would have handled it, if you bought the Guitar directly from them ?
Cheers ✌️ 🤙
No. In hindsight that might have been interesting. It was easier just to give it to my luthier friend who sorted out the issues.
I want to buy this....Where's the link
With Zelda.

- What?!
- Karalallalarrlaaaa...
Those were his last words before the stroke
:D
How have they made a guitar this good for the price??
How does one fix a high fret on Stainless Steel!?
The same as on regular frets I guess.
Hey Elmo, what are your thoughts on the IBANEZ AZES40?
Just ordered one.
Bad fret always a fretty issue... but why fret about that? what?
I really liked the neck pick-up sound, maybe a little too muddy, but you made that thing sound awesome.
I think that the pod is a bigger issue straight out of the box, but that's just my opinion, as seeing as I don't do reviews of guitars, nor am I really a good player, nor really knowledgeable regarding technical stuff, nor do I have good hair... really, who cares about my opinion... 😞
You may be right not to fret. Perhaps if you laid a short piece of lumber over the bad fret and struck it with a rubber mallet, you may get the fret to lower just a bit. I think the stainless frets are pre-cut. This is why the Eart has beautiful rounded ends on the fret. Those frets must have much longer longevity than the nickel steel frets. A quick search found this video on cleaning guitar potentiometers. Quite the link.

Great playing as always.
@@daniellarson3068 Wow, are links always this long?
Quality is always a problem in these cheap guitars. Nice you buy it yourself, because otherwise they would have make sure to send you the good one
Indeed.
I used to think the same, but after watching many reviews on RUclips, that doesn't seem to be the case. Often, the people who send out the guitar have no knowledge that it's going to a "RUclipsr", and the company usually understands that if they send out a guitar that is wayyy better than their "usual" work, it gives an unrealistic appearance. This of course, is just a generalisation and just my opinion. Every case is obviously different.
@@castleanthrax1833 These Indonesian or Chinese guitars have problems in keeping their technical declarations. It's not about sending "way better" guitar, it's about sending the product that you advertised. Just that. Recently I was sent a flagship Cort G300 Pro that has sharp fret ends, file marks on the fretboard, it was lacking the electronics cover (!), had a huge black gnarl in the crucial part of the neck, ant when you touched the tremolo then the nut was squealing like a door in an old barn. And this was actually the second G300 I was sent. First one has had misdrilled holes in the neck, so the screws that should mount the neck to the body were all over the place. And there are many more people that were send a semi-product. This is just impossible that both guitars left the factory, unless they have blind people working at QC.
And literally every youtube review of that guitar is amazing. I mean that they rely on what their machines can do, but if there is anything wrong, they just send that to the client. And I gave 700$ Cort as example, the level of accuracy at cheapest guitars is even lower, because that is the area where they save money.
As has been my experience with Harley Bentcrap. By the time I upgraded and got a professional setup I could have bought a used Mexican Fender.
@@adrian_V99 i had mexican fender, maybe the current player version is better that the '90 series i had, but it wasn't perfect definately
Besides the unique Tele shape people buy them for their distinctive 'twangy' sound. This guitar doesn't have that sound- so what's the point of buying one- because it LOOKS like a Tele? It has a very nice finish, and it is not expensive. But in the end it's FAR from a Telecaster. And why buy an inexpensive guitar when you will have to pay a luthier a ton of additional money to fix the frets, IF they can be fixed. If they can't you've wasted your money. No sale.
Brother, you must be a beginner or something... Most people buying this as a fixer upper/mod project is going to change the pickups anyway, and any monkey with a file could easily recrown and level those frets in an afternoon.
Nah - not my cup of tea and I love Teles.
Fair enough 😊
I just can't live with that headstock.
Good...I'll buy the one you refuse to buy.
I want to like this better also. But that's the most hideous name for a guitar maker. Eart? Really? It sounds like a company that makes toy trucks.
Sand paper and some wood stain. Beautiful. That's what I did on both of my Earts. I hear ya but damn they are good playing instruments
Buy a deadblow hammer $10 and tap it in yourself, a child could do it.
