As someone who did this recently entirely for the first time, I think time actually did some of the less popular games some good. I heard so many bad things about 4, but playing them all back to back ended with me really enjoying all of them. I suppose it's the lack of assumptions on what Saints Row is "supposed to be." Only one I didn't like was the reboot, though I will say the empire building aspect of that game is an improvement over the others. First time I felt the Saints actually ran an empire rather than just plucked everything they had from other gangs.
My heavily modded SRTT classic is the one I play the most to this day even though I have 2, 3, and IV still installed on my laptop. It has new game+, mission replay, cutscene replay, toggleable FPS mode, zone swap, improved NPC spawn and behavior, dynamic TOD, improved melee, imported assets from SR IV, and more. I'm not interested in playing the 2022 reboot
I just re-played saints row 2 such a great game shame the series turned into a massive flop with no reason to like any of the charcters let alone love them like the originals

1 was a brighter atmosphere 2 was kinda darker at least with the weather patterns and then it was supposed to be night when you escape prison

You missed one game, the saints row psp iso file that never got completed 😂 u can play it for free on pc or android with an emulator.
