STM32 Could not verify ST device! (Obsolete, but might still work on version 1.0.1)

Edit: I've been getting some comments saying that this method does not work anymore due to new IDE updates and stuff, however, some people tried utilizing it with version 1.0.1 and seems to be working there. Might be worth trying!

Please, try reset mode as "software system reset" (in configuration script section, click on "Show generator options" and select the proper reset mode.

That approach does NOT work anymore (2023). ST made some nasty change on cubeIDE and now for some reason does not allow chinese chip copies.

Some people posted in the comments that they tried it in the version 1.0.1 and it worked! Might be worth trying.
