Absolutely stupid how good these guys are. I was in a band called Structures. Had the privilege to tour with them years ago and I was very much intimidated hahaha. Glad this upload is here!
Ok, somebody please explain to me the purpose of the guitar without the headstock. I know how its strung and tuned accordingly but what is the significance of that specific "chassis" for lack of a better word.
Justin McBrain it's lighter and you don't crash your guitar when turning just like it happens on an ibanez 7 string that with the headstock is the size of an upright bass
Thank you for answering, I do appreciate it. I ended up seeing STS at The Kelsey Theater just the other week during The Guitar Collective. I got to ask Chris for myself and he told me the same also including how he just appreciates the overall aesthetics. They were all very nice guys and went around interacting with everybody.
V and Migration are a toss up for me(as favorites), afterwards it's very different, with some very good points, but not quite the same sound.....wish I could have seen them tour with this lineup....
No one is with them anymore. It's just Chris from the original lineup. Ever since the breakup it's become apparent how badly he treated his band mates. Bummed for everyone except him. I hope the rest find great new projects and resurrect old ones, like Tetrafusion
Watched Chris play an 8 song set standing right in front of him at a show and all he did was fuck up..... I love his music and I think he's a good song writer but I believe he portrays himself to be a better guitarist than he actually is. His playthroughs are definitely heavily edited. I've also seen them live 3 times and each time they were all drinking before the set at the bar and played sloppy. It was pretty disappointing to see. Chris was hiding in the back room and I heard one of his band members tell someone that Chris is kind of stand offish about meeting fans because he gets asked for tons of autographs or whatever.
Well audiotree is soley live. There was probably 5 missed notes this entire performance. I've seen them 2 times and both times were pretty great. More than likely you just caught bad shows. Chris didn't appear drunk the times i saw him either. So maybe that's the difference. But i doubt his musicianship or ability to play of the level his albums show is to be questioned.
For those wondering what tracks they played.
0:45 - 3:50 The Levitated
6:00 - 11:12 Olive Tree
14:43 - 19:18 Odyssey
14:45 Odyssey

i know it's quite off topic but does anyone know of a good website to watch newly released series online?
@Ryland Reuben i use FlixZone. You can find it by googling :)
still the best bass tone ive ever heard
Check out Sleepmakeswaves set on Audiotree.
Nothing beats a NT thumb tone! Especially they way Mark plays! It’s just not the same without him in the band
@@bassimprovjams3772 agreed. Thanks for bringing me back to watch again too dude haha
@@bassimprovjams3772 just listened to your most recent post btw sounds good dude
@@ApexChrisHansen yayaya!! 🤘😁

All of the Above was absolutely fantastic
Sean Lewis much appreciated. It’s almost been 10 years, crazy looking back. We wrote that in high school.
@@Roofdaddynick yeah, well, more please
What instrument did you play? I still listen to ATA all the time
I love structures! Has a dark vibe. Sometimes all over the place kind of like Dillinger escape plan.
I don't see any problem with the host/interviewer. He seems very interactive, focused and polite.
I've grown to like him throughout the audio tree videos
Just found out that Travis, Mark, and JC have also left the band along with Pat...
This is heart breaking.
Wish this lineup was back again 🤩. Hope to see them live someday.
It’s the best! It’s not the Same without Mark!
I think that guy tapped his headstock off...
HAH! Just spit my water out onto my desk!
LOL
In an alternate timeline: this version of the band stayed together, and they'd as big as Animals As Leaders is now
I've technically known Chris since talking on Myspace. It's crazy to have watched them grow for 12 years
I heard he doesn't pay his members
holy shit, that`s the most beautyful bass i've ever seen? warwick for live!
Wha?
It’s literally a rotten banana. How that can be beautiful?
"Adventure metal!"
Right now I'm trying to wrap my head around how and why 23 people could possible give this a thumbs down.
Is no one going to talk about that bass tone???
jonnyboy531 fucking amazing!!!
Sweet tone no doubt... and I'm a guitarist...
Compressed as snot.
It's amazing i love it🔥
@@TheUnkus you obviously never played a warwick then
AWESOME , you lads remind me of MAHAVISHNU ORCHESTRA , keep up the great work 😀
Man, they were my favorite band for years when I discoverer them, there music helped me through writing my bachelors thesis :D
You know you have good headphones when every member of this band uses them in the studio :)
these dudes are rad
hell yea travis reppin chon
I miss this lineup
And now imagine hw good Chris Letchford would be if someone hadn't stolen half of his guitar
It’s not the same without Mark! Just an absolute amazing player with a perfect Thumb tone! Love his RUclips channel!! Seems like such a great guy!
I think the the loss of Pat was the greatest loss the band had.
I agree that it isn’t quite the same without him. Anyone know why he isn’t in the band anymore?
Insane bass tone
that bass fill at 7:44 :D
these guys are awesome, great art is what they have done
One of them has Chon t-shirt lel
and the drummer wears a tesseract shirt
The scene tried like hell to promote each other. The 2005-2009 post-rock scene showed the same solidarity.
Incredible set!!! Tremendous song!!!
I saw these guys at the soda bar in San Diego. Sick live.
Waiting for Spaced out, 7for4 or Spastic Ink perform on Audiotree Live.
One more time 🔥 🔥
Legendary video
This is so dope. No wonder I loved The Migration so much before.
Hint...its the bass tone.
I love you guys so much
Woo, love these guys.
This new style is very cool.
That was amazing!
These guys are soooo sick!
Travis legend
I wonder how their new album will sound now that pretty much their whole line up has changed.
vkotis sound amazing so far. royal orphan is probably my third favorite song of theirs

15:47 Don't act like y'all didn't hear that wrong note haha
if my teacher out that guitar, if probably be too terrified to learn anything lol
I think I'm in love jajajaja
I see Pat wearing that same tesseract shirt that I used to have.
RIP STS
the migration was the last amazing scale album. even though their latest is good its not the same....
V and Migration are a toss up for me(as favorites), afterwards it's very different, with some very good points, but not quite the same sound.....wish I could have seen them tour with this lineup....
Eden Hazard's on the bass there
lol only took two years to upload
Mason Enfinger it was already up, but I dunno why Audiotree has been reuploading some old sessions.
All they're doing is moving old sessions that were only on their website onto RUclips.
It's not that hard to figure out.
bravo...bravo... bravo... Scale the Summit is wondeful...Muito fodaaaaaaaaaa....
Pause @ 18:44, Mark is trying so hard not to laugh at all the guitar flubs! HAHA
This band is so fresh! Subbd to Audiotree, some real cool jams on ur channel!
Unfortunately they aren't really together anymore. Just the tall blonde dude. They're tunes were legit though
We should round up all the negative commentators and hear what their band produces.
Harold Finch whatcha doing with that drum kit 😂
Nice
Cool
Chris Letchford is a beast.
Aaaahhhhh. How unique! Who would have thought of saturating all of their music with arpeggios of the pentatonic scale. How refreshing....
hard to believe Pats not with them anymore
No one is with them anymore. It's just Chris from the original lineup. Ever since the breakup it's become apparent how badly he treated his band mates. Bummed for everyone except him. I hope the rest find great new projects and resurrect old ones, like Tetrafusion
LOOOOGAN!
anyone know what kind of bass that is? It’s awesome
They do a rig rundown after a few songs... I believe he said it's a Warwick, California Buckeye Burl Top... sweet bass for sure
15:16 ouuuuuch, that hurts! But nevertheles, impressive performance!
Does it make you feel better? Pointing out mistakes that other people have made? Does it help you forget your own? Gonna cry? Gonna piss?
Whats the name of the.first song
Toca sem maos-playno hands
Loved this.
Bass is killing it, drums solid. Guitar eh
Adam Troutman you suck chris is an absolute genius
I need to know... what bass is that??
Mark describes it in detail in the video.
LISTEN TO MAGMA, and MAHAVISHNU
hi
84 likes???????? you fucking kidding me???
Chon but two-handed tapping
What's the track in the intro?
Two years late answer but here it goes. Its "Evergreen" of the album The Migration
I am a heterosexual male. But, I think travis looks handsome af. Anyone agree?
sDidn't know Shea Labeouf played drums on Scale the Summit...
Nope. That's not him. He's actually playing here ruclips.net/video/fU7hZ3smj0g/видео.html
That jackson guitar is probably worth about $4500. It is BadA$$.
lololololol
Drummer using hot rods?
Chris played that guitar so hard it lost its gender...
imagine being one of the people who downvoted this. As if life could get any worse.
The host seems coked out.
I THINK THESE GUYS ARE TOO BLAND
Holy crap those drums sound terrible.
...His neckless guitar
Love the music. The band name, however...sounds like a 3rd rate screemo band name.
I really dont see that tbh
Verb the noun always carries that
*you know nothing of musical genres. Screamo is not a genre.
theyre all ripping, but damn that blue guitar sounds like shit.
